What a lovely hotel; Arrived at 6pm having spent all day travelling (flights/car hire), was greeted very warmly by the reception staff who very kindly made a booking for the restaurant. Hotel is very "classy", lovely reception area, really nicely laid out. The room was great, super comfy bed, & the Rituals shower accessories was a classy touch. Food in the restaurant was delicious, lots of staff on duty who provided a very friendly service. Car park had loads of spaces, & the lift takes you right up to the reception area. This, & its sister hotel in Galway, are both superb hotels, & I'll definitely be staying in them again.

Nothing. Everything is as it should be.

The location was fantastic on the river, we sat outside relaxing at the bar area over looking the river, King John's Castle on our left. Comfy warm blankets are available for sitting outdoors as the sun went down. The gym & pool were fantastic, loved using them the next morning. Room was very big, very comfortable beds, very clean, great big bathroom with seperate shower and bath in it.

I simply cannot understand why a bar does not have gin glasses. Thankfully there were large wine glasses for my G&T's but I had to ask each time for the bigger glass. Also there was no Slimline Tonic Water in the bar. The Barman said that's only served in a function room bar, not in the main bar, I found this very odd too. I asked him, "if you can have it in one bar, why not in all the bar?". He could not answer my statement.

The hotel was decorated beautifully with Christmas trees. There is always a relaxed vibe in the bar area. The room was cosy. Antonio checked me in at the desk, he was very obliging, going the extra mile to make my stay special. I would stay again

The only constructive thing I have to say is the hot breakfast, it was undercooked.

Rooms were great, comfortable beds, great hot water, housekeeping was great, bottles of water, coffee and tea service including cookies was great, good location, good bar, bartenders were exceptional, everyone was very accommodating.

Wifi was out during our whole stay, it took 1.5 hrs from the time we ordered our food in the restaurant till we were served. No water was offered during this time and no one came to check on us during our wait. However, food was good once it arrived. For as nice of a hotel this is it appeared that there needs to be some management reviews.

The hotel is great and feel like a real 4 stars from the materials used to the staff uniforms.

The only thing I could fault is only down to one staff not making any efforts and that the person running room service. Professional only and almost polite most of the time but not make you feel like you want to place an order and feel the love.. Mos people would afraid to order if staying more than one night.I stayed 5 on my own..... Explain why I didn't fancy the main restaurant room after 12 hours shifts.. Feeling like why are you getting room service.. Should you not come down to the restaurant ...what s your problem for staying in your room... I am sorry but replace this guy ! You could have got a 10 out if 10 for it Food good! Not the only place where room service is not value at the rest Take note hopefully

Spotless, super friendly and welcoming. Everything was great. Our room was lovely and looked over the river. Bathroom great with an excellent shower. Couldn't fault it. We had the breakfast 3 days running and never tired of it. The selection and quality was really good, definitely better than a lot of hotel breakfast buffets. The spa is great. Massive jacuzzi (plus another one) large pool, steam room, sauna. We really enjoyed our 4 nights at this hotel and will return. Great location for just stepping out and walking along the riverside.

Rooms super clean and nice. Location excellent and easy to get around the city. Antonio who assisted us from start to finish was incredibly warm and welcoming. Made an effort not make us feel comfortable and valued as guests. He remembered our names and made an effort to check in with us when he saw us. Super helpful and kind and is an incredible asset to the hotel. The night porter was the same. Had conversations and a laugh with us when we came in late from our work. Didn’t catch his name but he was another guy who was super friendly and again a credit to the venue.

Food in the bar wasn’t amazing and some of the bar staff weren’t as welcoming as the reception staff but that’s super minor.

Lovely hotel great location 5 mins walk into town for shopping. Bar food was nice quite pricey €11 for a dessert was a bit steep!! Room was so lovely very clean and comfortable! Leisure centre staff were so lovely and great facilities available! Parking was expensive aswell it did state 12€ per night but I ended up paying more which was frustrating I think parking should be included with room! Room rate was also quite pricey and it was without breakfast but unfortunately this is Ireland!!

Bar was a little chilly and lacked at atmosphere on a Saturday night!!

I loved the Strand in Limerick! I felt the location was fantastic and it was easy to get around. I loved that it was so close to the river and easy to find. I felt safe in this hotel especially because the elevators have key card security. I liked that the room had a mini fridge and water kettle. Ohhh and I loved that they have 'Rituals' bath products! I will recommend this hotel to friends.

I did not like that even though I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door (I was teleworking), the maid service just came into my room. She knocked and came right in. This happened two days in a row. Does the sign not mean anything? She did a nice job cleaning the room and I know they are just doing their job, but that was annoying.

We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary in the Strand Hotel. Team Strand done an excellent job of making our stay a wonderful experience. Team Strand upgraded us to a junior suite with a fantastic view of Limerick city and the Shannon river. They also put red petals spelling out "I Love U" on the bed along with chocolates and a welcome card. I highly recommend The Strand hotel for a luxury stay weekend. We will be back again next year for the same hotel experience. 10 otta 10
