We LOVED everything about the property! The location, the hospitality offered, the decor and the standard of the food. Everything was of an extremely high standard ( we were even offered an exchange of pillows if they didn’t suit!) Jon and Alex are consummate professionals, dedicated to providing the perfect experience for their clients. They really went above and beyond to care for their guests. The decor is pure theatre as are mealtimes with Jon as the ringmaster! It was an amazing experience and we have never been so well looked after. Incredible food ( really extensive choice), wonderful views , wacky, wonderful decor and an altogether magical experience at an extremely reasonable price. It’s beautiful! Clean and fun both. Our bed and pillows were so comfortable. It was easy to find and close enough to walk to pubs and the beach. Great views of mountains and the coastline both

I wish of stayed longer. They provided too much food. This food is so good that you cannot stop eating. Honestly the cooks are to blame! I recommend the French toast with happy bacon as it’s the best I’ve ever had. :)

Jon and Alex were extremely generous hosts who welcomed us warmly into their unique and stylish home. We stayed in the luxuriously appointed Venetian suite which offered us every possible comfort, including a super comfy super King bed, wonderful pillows, with a choice of firmness, and luxurious high thread count cotton bed linen. We both slept incredibly well every one of our three nights there. The room was very spacious and included a very comfortable sitting area, tea and coffee making facilities (with complimentary Lindt chocolate!), a well equipped bathroom, excellent shower and separate jacuzzi style bath. Breakfasts were freshly prepared to order with a huge choice of dishes all made with high quality ingredients, many of which locally sourced. We were also able to have dinner one night which was delicious and generous and once again there was a large choice of dishes on offer. It was a short walk from the B and B to the beach and Keel village. All in all it was a great experience and we look forward to visiting again on our next trip to county Mayo.

Well!! Genuinely dont know where to start as - even before we reached the place - we realized the exceptional service that was awaiting us. Not only did they accept us even post the their normal check-in timings - Alex for genuinely concerned about us - which was visible as we arrived - which was much more than anyone could ask for, and John going 'Above and Beyond' to help us with some wonderful Dinner - I dont think I would be able to justify in words how exceptional their service was and for sure would Visit again - and recommend others too :) Alex and John - Can't thank you'll enough!

Jon and Alex weren't anything short of amazing, everything was really good and the attention to detail is unbelievable. We got an upgrade to the roman suite upon arrival, which was really great, since the room was bigger and had nice views. Breakfast was an experience on its own, the food was freshly cooked and with so many options it was hard to choose only one, the views from the dining area were breathtaking overlooking Keel beach and Minaum mountain peak behind it. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean and had all amenities we could wish for. The decoration was also really cool! Be sure to come with extra time to just sit down, relax and enjoy.

The hosts were wonderful. They showed us to our room and gave us the breakfast options in advance for the next morning. This Boutique B & B was everything we thought it would be and more. We wished we had booked for more than 1 night. It was in a quiet location but in easy walking distance of the town. Our room, the Chinese themed room, was absolutely stunning and the lovely breakfast room also had its own theme. The choice and quality of the food was amazing.

Gorgeous towels. Incredibly beautiful views from our room. The food was simply divine. Simply the best I have ever tasted on any holiday. The hosts (Jon & Alex) were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. They honestly made us feel very special on our 40th wedding celebration holiday at Ferndale. Within those three days they have become friends for life. Sparkling clean room and beautiful rooms with incredible attention to detail for each themed room. Our hosts were welcoming and wonderful. The food was delicious and plentiful. Ice cream was offered on arrival and it was such a lovely surprise. We would definitely return to Ferndale. It is unique and such a treat! I would highly recommend staying at this 5 star BnB for a unique and wonderful experience.
