What a lovely place! Great vibe, especially with the vine-covered outside area. Loved the decor, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a very hot day/early evening when I arrived. The room was lovely, and they had opened the window and put in a portable air conditioner. I like the fact that fresh milk was provided, and there was a mini fridge. What would be even better, would be a choice of milk alternative, like oat milk, but hey, I'm not a fussy vegetarian! HaHa! After freshening up with a quick shower, I was able to enjoy a lovely meal in the garden. It was sooooo hot, I slept on top of the duvet! Anyway, in the morning, as I was fasting, they were happy to provide a packed lunch instead of the breakfast that I was skipping. The sandwich with avocado and salad on brown bread was a lovely surprise when I opened the brown paper bag! Thank you! A healthy bag of crisps - if there is such a thing! And a beautiful red apple! I even received a friendly lick on my leg from the dog too! Thank you for a very pleasant stay. If I am back in the area and need to stay overnight, I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Hmmmmmmm 🤔 Oh yeah....the table, in the vine-covered area, we wanted to sit at - the top of it was decorated with bottle tops - for dinner, was too sticky and dirty! Haha! It needed a wipe, and my friend who had joined me, just moved to one of the picnic tables. And, the toilet seat in the bathroom was a bit dodgy but, apart from those minor things, I highly recommend The Ivy House.

The quietest guest room ever - it's the only place we've ever stayed and didn't have the constant noise of people walking past your room and hearing talking, wonderful. Lots of character in the pub itself and the room. Brilliant to have a little bottle of fresh milk which could be kept cool in a mini fridge in our room. Good shower. Tasty food in the pub and good price and there's lots of parking too. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly especially Jamie 🙂
Everything was great thank you so much for a wonderful weekend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was good, wide choice on menu and well presented. The hotel was in a good location for us. It is an interesting building which has been recently redecorated, so was attractive and well presented. The bedrooms were well appointed for a one night stay.
The rooms were rather small, and despite a fan was hot. The room was above the dining area and the diners were was rather loud and their language was on occasion offensive.

We wanted a "pit stop" just outside when attending the FA Cup final at Wembley. Great location with short drive to Gerrards Cross or Beaconsfield stations Rooms clean and well presented (if a tad small) - fine for a one night stay. Excellent food - really well presented evening meal washed down with a good pint. breakfast freshly cooked to order Definitely return one day - pending next Wembley game :-)
There was a bit of traffic noise but nothing to keep you awake.

We loved our stay! We were staying over for a wedding and we're so appreciative to be able to drop our bags off in the room early. We loved the decor and the coffee and biscuits in the room, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was 10/10. We will definitely be back to stay again, and would definitely recommend staying at the ivy house to anyone!

Lovely place. Wonderful friendly staff. It has ghosts lol 2 actually. Great food, good service. Easy parking and lots of it close to everything we wanted to visit. Great shower. Great breakfast plenty of it with coffee and toast. Good internet
No shower jell. Only one small bottle of milk for two days to make tea coffee, soon ran out. Limited TV channels. Close to a main road so a bit noice.

Looks like each room has a theme at this stay. I had the Captain's Room - so had a slight seaside feel to the decor. If you do stay in this room - I would definitely watch out for the beams if you are of large stature - they are padded so you should be okay though watch the bathroom door as it is not - finding this out from experience. Restaurant is quaint and offers a good range of food. Stayed on a Wednesday night which they have an open mic night which brought in quite a few locals into the bar. Plenty of car parking and breakfast was filling and just the right amount of food and was presented well.

Friendly atmosphere, able to just have a couple of drinks even tho all tables were reserved, not a bad thing, a popular place. And an extra special thank you to Sara for the really nice breakfast and being a top host, thankyou 😊
Nothing I didn't like apart from the fact it was a work only stop over😭other wise would have liked to make the most of the night and stay longer.

It's location and ambience
Because of the heat wave and lack of air conditioning, the bedroom was unfortunately unbearably hot, which made sleep very difficult. This is not a criticism of The Ivy House and I don't think that aircon could easily be installed

The staff were all lovely and friendly and so helpful. We arrived early, but we were shown to our room immediately. Spotlessly clean, small but cosy and comfortable. And then there was Moo the cuddly cow!! Apparently every room has one 😊
Nothing!!
