Whilst it was a bit out of town in Cambridge the transport link to the city was excellent and off the red line was a 2 minute walk. The hotel offered a nice room, clean and tidy on arrival and sufficient everything for a short stay. Helpful staff, good location, nearby facilities include shop/cafe/pharmacy etc.. and pub next door. tea coffee etc provided in room with ironing board and hairdryer.

Housekeeping was by request only and as we were there just a few days this was not a problem to us, there was a bar and there was an ice bucket provided to get ice from basement if needed as no fridge, again, not a biggy for us.

Location is excellent. Variety of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and about a 15 min walk to Harvard Square and Davis Square. Staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean, neat, and comfortable. Complimentary coffee in the basement along with ice machine, which was very nice.

Would have been nice if they had open windows. There was air filtration system but fresh air would have been nice. There was a fire alarm around 7am which woke everyone up, which was a bit annoying. Had to go outside and wait for about 30-40 min for the fire department to come and check. Walls were a bit thin, but okay. There was an angry person who had some sort of a fit for about an hour, but other than that, no problem.

•Location( metro station and buses in front of the hotel, easy to get to airport) • quiet • remodeled hotel, nice bathroom, nice beds, comfortable pillows. •shops and markets in the square to eat, drink, shop

• the rooms windows do not open to get fresh air-there were stable • there is no fridge in the room • the cleaning stuff comes under charge, if you ask • and the thing i didn't like is that the reception asks for security 50$ to get to the room. The hotel had to inform customers before they arrive for this policy. I booked the room 3 months later.

I chose this hotel because of its excellent location, situated just off the Red Line subway stop in Porter Square, and a short walk to Davis Square. Cambridge itself is a very expensive location to stay in, probably due to its proximity to Harvard and MIT. So, despite not being what I would call a budget hotel, it was one of the better priced options available to me. The room itself was clean and reasonably sized. As I was staying for 5 nights, I was thankful not to be in a shoebox. I didn’t use many of the hotel’s amenities, although the restaurant looked very nice. The staff were pleasant without being over the top and I had a very enjoyable stay.

Nothing I didn’t like. I really only used the hotal as somewhere to sleep, but my experience was wholly positive.

Cute cozy hotel. Room was clean and the hotel was convenient to lots of shopping and stores and easy access to the T. Friendly staff- were able to provide a mini fridge and a luggage hold which was very helpful for me. I did not drive but understood there to be parking for a fee.

I knew The rooms were small but since i was by myself the size was okay. If there was another person with me i would have felt crowded. It would have been nice to have an actual desk and desk chair rather than a small table and chair. I also found the bed to be on the firm/hard side.

The hotel is right on Massachusetts avenue, within walking distance of Harvard University. There are several store nearby like the excellent Porter Square Bookstore and a large Star Market for food. Coffee maker in the room is a plus. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bathroom was a bit outdated. The room was quite small. No fridge. No water kettle. The bed corners were extremely hard and easy to crash into due to the small space. Cleaning only on request (but in all fairness they were easy to ask). Sadly the Red Line subway was closed and we had to either walk far or take a Lyft to get around.

It was clean, I was very happy about the bathroom and the shower- it was clean and the shower was well sealed and didn’t let any water out ❤️ also I was glad to have the access to coffee and water:) in the morning it was the best to start our day with very decent coffee ☕️

The door to the bathroom was sliding, so not totally sealed. In case there is noise or any scent from the bathroom- it might leak out to the room

Great location, just steps from the Porter Square Station MBTA stop. No need to have a car! Staff are attentive and friendly. They accommodated early check in, very much appreciated.

The room was quite small--at least mine, at the end of a hall. The shallow desk literally leaves your laptop bumping the wall hung TV, unless you pull the desk out a bit--in which case you are backed into the bed. No mini fridge or microwave in the unit either.

Porter Square Hotel had a very sleek, boutique-like environment with an excellent location right on Mass Ave in a lively neighborhood full of restaurants. It was immaculate and the AC worked well. The room itself was on the small side which is not surprising for a city hotel. It had a lovely but tiny alcove with a chair and table that allowed one to view the activity on the busy street outside. The beds were super comfy and the linens crisp.

The room was indeed small and there was no place to put or open suitcases other than at the foot of the beds.

Location is great. Super close to the red line and only one stop from Harvard and 2 (or 3?) from MIT. Lot's of food options within a 2 minute walk. This hotel was the lowest cost option I could find within easy reach of Harvard & MIT.

The room while very clean and tidy was small for US standards. I'd expect this type this kind of room size in Asia or large European cities. It suited my needs just fine, but I would not want to share that space with another adult-sized human. Also, I found the hot water tepid. This kinda blew me away. I assumed that my morning shower was being impacted by everyone else's morning shower, but later that night I tested the hot water again with the same result. This is something that the hotel should be able to easily address - and they really need to do so.
