Everything about this hotel met our expectations (as you can see by our ratings). While the location was at the top of a hill from the center of town (which meant going up the hill every time were returned from the city center), we were still very happy with its setting. It was on a quiet street off of a main road and at night the neighbourhood was exceptionally quiet. There was an issue with our room. The one that we were offered was not like the one that appeared in the BOOKING.COM photos. The photos in the booking of our SUPERIOR room had photos of the executive suite (unbeknownst to us), which is what we were expecting. I think that this was an error on the part of Booking.com. Upon mentioning this to the hotel, the management ultimately decided to upgrade us to the executive suite. The daily breakfast that was included was both copious and varied. Very good! The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

There is nothing that we can say we didn't like about our stay at this property.

Excellent ratings for the following: (1) Apartments, especially our 2 bedroom, 1 bath with kitchen. Superb! Had everything we needed! (2) Staff, courteous, helpful, and professional. Absolutely fantastic! (3) Breakfast & staff, a wide variety of choices and constantly attended to so everything is available. The staff was excellent. (4) Location, it was only a 5-8 minute walk to the city center and harbor and 1 minute from the incredibly beautiful and peaceful City Gardens, (5) Onsite parking was a very, very big plus as you had a rental car. There was also quite a bit of free parking on the street right in front of the hotel.

The only nimor thing that we would suggest is for better pillows, perhaps slightly firmer with better filling. Although the pillows were new, they were thin and not the typical type that you find in quality-experience hotels.

Amazingly clean and modern hotel that maintains excellent and friendly service standards. The staff are wonderful and always willing to help out with anything. The location is a quick walk to downtown in the heart of the city, yet far enough away to be away from any loud celebrations or hustle and bustle. The included breakfast buffet is a great start to the day.

Wish we didn’t have to use a code when exiting the parking lot gate, but I certainly do understand the reasons for this procedure.

Very big room with a spacious bathroom and living room zone. The location is very central and close to all restaurants and bars. Very good breakfast in the morning, with a big selection of cakes that change every morning. The hotel has a big parking lot right next to it where guests can park the car. We had a great time at the hotel, which was all we needed. Would recommend it.

A wonderfully amazing location, always welcoming and friendly staff, we simply loved loved loved staying in one of the apartments - the extra space was excellent and the kitchen which includes a washer/dryer sealed the deal on this phenomenal stay. Having breakfast included as well as parking makes the Hotel Cruzeiro among the best that Terceira has to offer!

Never anything bad to say, we've stayed at this hotel a few times and look forward to several more stays over the years.

As a female, solo traveller this was a great place to stay. I felt safe, secure and comfortable. When I asked about somewhere close to eat the reception staff directed me to a local restaurant where - despite the fact that I don't speak Portugese and the restaurant owners didn't speak English - I had really good food in a welcoming environment. The room was comforable, clean, and quiet.

The staff was very welcoming and the facilities overall exceeded my expectations, better than the photos. The breakfast is more than enough, with high quality ingredients. The location is another keypoint, since the hotel is located right in the center of the city. They also have private parking.

Nothing, our stay was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cruzeiro. It is located in the central part of town. Most downtown restaurants are within walking distance and the rooms are comfortable. They also provided private parking which was a nice treat.

breakfast was wonderful. The staff were friendly and very helpful giving us dinner recommendations and even calling to make reservations for us. The hotel was very clean, and in an excellent location. They had free parking available, its a decent sized parking lot but they do recommend that you request a spot when booking the hotel. We took advantage of this amenity and it was great to not have to worry about paying the meter on the streets. Free parking is difficult to find in the city, but hotel location was great for walking around.

The room doors automatically lock, which makes it difficult to close them without it slamming. I always felt bad if we left early/came in late that it would wake other guests.

We only stayed one night on the island but the hotel was perfect for us. Huge and comfortable bed, quiet room.
