Honestly one of the best "hostels" I've ever stayed. It's an absolutely gorgeous house with 6 rooms and an apartment. The decorations are incredible. The breakfast was great. The location is perfect. Close to downtown, close to Monte Brasil and close to the west side of Angra for sunsets. Laura and the staff were always on top of things, ready to help. They clean your room and bathroom everyday. There is lots of common area to hang around. The breakfast gives you the opportunity to meet other guests, giving it a little community vibe. I wouldn't consider staying elsewhere when I come back.

I thought not having a bathroom in my room would be a hassle but it really wasn't. It's still your private bathroom but given the age and structure of the building...it's understandable that not every room can have an ensuite.

I loved the king-size bed, quality linens, A/C, Azores-themed books in the living room, the charming garden in the backyard, and the front desk staff who were very welcoming and helpful with instructions.

The breakfast staff was late in opening the room for guests and seemed rushed and tired. One staff member didn’t greet us, leaving guests unsure if they could start serving themselves while she finished preparing items. They could benefit from a reminder of the spirit of hospitality, and adding soft background music would improve the atmosphere. The vibe wasn’t relaxing—I felt a bit tense and unwelcomed during breakfast.

It was very clean, staff were very friendly and took their time explaining what was best to do around the island. Even though our rooms were separate for our family of five, it was not a major issue as the rooms were close to each other. One room had a private bathroom (not attached, you have to walk through a public space) and the other was shared. Both were very clean. Breakfast was good, nothing too elaborate but everything was fresh and good.

Everything was amazing. It lived up to its name... Really Charming. All the Staff were amazing. Laura who welcomed me was specially very nice. And genuinely nice. The bed was comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. The garden and the views ... Really good. I had the room with private bathroom outside the room. But that was really no issue the bathroom is literally right next to the room. And was designate for my use only. So if you are one who is undecided because of the separate bathroom (as I was), you don't need to worry. It's no real inconvenience. The only regret I had is that I didn't stay there longer. I had booked in another 4 star hotel for other days of my stay and I kid you not....I would have rather been staying at My Angra Charming House the entire time instead of that other hotel.

Exceptional! Beautifully renovated town house within walking distance of superb restaurants. Super comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts. Honesty fridge for drinks was a bonus after hard days hiking!

Nothing! - apart from some noisy guests who started their day at dawn! . Not hotels fault obviously but perhaps a notice would help regarding ‘quiet’ hours.

Everything! Smooth check-in, large room, air conditioner, comfy beds, cleanliness, nice common kitchen, good breakfast. Everything's organized in a very professional way. The staff is super friendly.

Coffee during breakfast was not that good, but that's a really minor issue. The only one I can think of.

I loved everything about this place. The location was beautiful and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was spotless and the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Huge windows for lots of natural light during the day. It was only a 10 min walk to the water and the city centre. Lots of places near for beautiful views and hikes. We had a long layover on our flight back to Canada and they let us have a late check out and use the house community areas until we needed to go to the airport. They are also pet friendly and happy to have my cat stay with them! The after hours check in was easy and breakfast was great to wake up to! They helped us with transfer to and from the airport so everything was a breeze. I truly hope I get to stay here again and for longer next time. I cannot recommend this property enough.

A hidden gem in a charming, amazing town. This beautifully designed boutique hotel shows great attention to detail. The customer service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. Laura is a star—her recommendations were spot on.

We liked everything

The host was so incredibly warm and informative to us upon our arrival and continued to be a delight throughout our stay. Great cozy room and very nice bathroom, we had a private one. The common areas were lovely and the breakfast was a huge selection. Thank you so much!
