- great location in walking distance to the beach, grocery stores, restaurants - free parking in front of the building (only for few cars, but there is another free public parking next to the Parque Infantil do Paul 200m away) - good wifi - the place is new, clean and stylish - nice modern bathroom - comfortable bed, A/C, TV, balcony - nice small shared kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle (it is in a bit busy area behind the reception)

- i would really recommend to bring ear plugs as opening/closing doors on other rooms is really loud and quite annoying :)

ZigZag hostel is simply fantastic. It is very well located near the beach, the centre of Praia and in a quiet area. The hostel has some parking spaces just at the door. The kitchen equipment is very good, with a modern and high-class fridge, coffee machine... The hostel has a room with computers and a sitting room. The hostel is really well decorated and with many cute details, mainly in blue, the predominant colour of the hostel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. An excellent relation price and facilities Highly recommend for your stay in Praia da Victoria!!

The check in was very simple and the staff was eager to help at any potential issues. They also helped with booking the taxi to the airport which can also be tricky. The organization of the food in the fridge was simple and very effective, and even the coffee machine was great! The room itself (shared room for up to 4 people) was amazing, the beds were comfortable, the sheets were close to new, and every bed had a plug and a personal light. The towels also seemed to be new, and the one bathroom for the room never seemed too little. Was just perfect.

The “automatic” door didn’t quite work as the staff should be paying attention 24/7 to open the door to the new guests. From the room in the kitchen floor we could hear every time someone rang the doorbell.

The location is very good, as it is within easy walking distance to beach and festas facilities. The double room was clean, large, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and of good size as well. The room and bathroom were cleaned at least every other day. The kitchen, with the exception of the refrigerator, was well appointed. The hair blow dryer was great.

The refrigerator in the common kitchen was always overcrowded with some not so fresh food in it. The room bathroom lacked glasses-we bought some plastic ones at the little grocery store around the corner. There is a nice balcony, however, there aren't any chairs on it to allow one to enjoy it.

The staff is lovely. The room was perfect, clean, confortable, well decorated and functionnal. We enjoyed the kitchen, there is everything you need. The location is great, and closed by the beach. The lady in the office organised the pick up with the taxi for the airport. All the hotel is brand new and well decorated. There is also computer that you can use.

The reception is closed during most of the day and you are required to tell the property in advance at what time exactly you will arrive - I think it would be nice to have the reception open at least during normal working hours and only request someone to give an exact time if arriving late at night, etc.

The staff is wonderful. Although they do not speak English, they tried very hard to give us information and to help us. After check-out, they allowed us not only to leave our luggage, but also to use the kitchen and the toilet. We are very grateful to them. It is very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable.. The location is excellent.

We chose this for our first night because it was so close to the airport and we arrived after midnight. We felt guilty waking the poor girl up to buzz us in, but she did. We were surprised how nice the room was given the price. It was small, but the bed was dressed rather luxuriously. The bathroom was right across the narrow hallway and had just been cleaned. There was even a little veranda. We checked out the common kitchen as we left, and it looked clean and we'll equipped.

We couldn't quite figure out the parking as it seemed all designated parking spaces were taken . There was a meter, but being foreigners we couldn't figure out what spaces it apples to, let alone how to use it. Eventually I realized the sign read "free parking on Saturday", and since it was Saturday, that was a big relief.

The room was very nice and clean. It smelled a bit weird but it went away once we turned on the AC. The bed was very comfortable, which was a big plus for us. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked very clean and well equipped. Overall very good value.

The lady at the front desk could have been nicer to us but we all have a bad day sometime. She explained everything but it seemed like we were bothering her.

The premises are nice and modern, the beds are comfortable, and the location is close to the airport. I would say that the rooms are better than those in some hotels, do not let yourself be distracted by the name hostel. Excellent value for the money.
