The staff went above and beyond to help make it a special weekend for me and my daughter, as it was her birthday. They were extremely friendly and helpful, even before we arrived. As for the property, the location is amazing, right above the beach and marina (loved the French doors that opened onto a small balcony), walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The property was very clean, the beds comfortable, and nice amenities in the room (desk, kettle, etc). There are two parking spots right outside the hotel for loading and unloading, and nearby (2 min walk) there is a street along the marina with free parking, so that was never a problem. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold items. The patio dining above the marina and beach was a wonderful way to start the day.

It is a slightly older property, so if you are looking for sleek and modern architecture this is not the place. Personally I like the quaint historical feeling of the building, which made it feel like you are in an older European city (which, of course, it is) - as opposed to those hotels that all feel the same inside and could be anywhere in the world. The TV is a little on the small side, but we were not there to watch TV, so not a problem for us.

Location is the main feature of this hotel. View and ease of access to city's main features, trails and commerce is a ten. Angra is a beautiful city and i could spend my entire summer here, if it wasnt for the night noise. In plain centre, beach right in front of you and walkable everywhere. Mattress was excellent. Room had the right size and breakfast was ok. Although i had trouble sleeping, i recommend this hotel if you are a heavy sleeper or bring good earplugs with noise cancelation. I will most certainly return, better equipped for night noise, but i do believe there should be an upgrade on hotel windows and isolation and a noise limit like everywhere else in the world.

The night noise is horrible!!! I dont recommend staying here during SanJoaninas festivities because there are tavern stalls 3meters apart from you. You will be surrounded with hard eletronic nonsense music, and people screaming, until 5am. I can sleep almost everywhere, in terms of noise, but i spend one week on vacations here without being able to sleep, even with tampons on. Windows are very old and need update, this would be the best thing the Hotel could and must do for its guests, to help them have the rest they deserve. Staff is overall very nice, but lacks of more qualified hr. Ana from breakfast and a lady in the frontdesk (in her 40's) were very professional and helpful.

Excellent location in the city centre and next to beach. Perfect breakfast - amazing buns, yummy Portuguese butter, cheese, pancakes, juice. Possibility to have a breakfast on a terrace with amazing view. Air condition. Clean room.

My room had a "view" on opposite house in a narrow street. On this house was a spotlight pointed directly at my window. Although there were curtains on my window, there was a light in my room whole night. Mattress was very tough and I had pain of back. One day before my departure toilet paper was not added, so it was ran out. Wifi in the room was not working on the first day of my stay.

This hotel is in the perfect location. We did not get a room with a view of the ocean, but I imagine those must be stunning. It offers a good breakfast in a restaurant with sweeping views of the mountain and docks below. It could not be more central.

Overall, the facilities are dated. They are in relatively good condition but in need pf refurbished. The TV is very small; there is no fridge. That being said, it is a comfortable place and I would certainly stay here again.

The view was phenomenal. Was facing the ocean and the beach directly. it could not have been any better. Unfortunately, we had to leave early in the morning for the airport and did not get to have breakfast. However, we had dinner at the restaurant the evening of our arrival, and the food was incredible. It was an excellent meal, superb quality, at a very reasonable price.

The room had two twin beds and they were a bit small, if it were two double beds it would have been a bit more spacious. The beds were quite comfortable even though they may have been smaller than what we are used to.

Location, location, location! A great central location close to many amenities, cafes, shops and tourist destinations. Great, helpful staff - attentive and friendly! The hotel's restaurant was also great - great food, great service and great value. Loved the private balcony facing the ocean and beach. Overall quite pleased with this hotel, with the exception of it feeling and looking a bit tired.

The staff and location were perfect. Bed was comfy and great to have a bath and fridge in the room. Loved opening the doors and hearing the waves. Breakfast was adequate and restaurant servings were generous!

Great location just in the city centre but also next to the beach, it was possible to hear the sound of waves during the night. Good breakfast, very nice room with good views, small balcony, aircondition, fridge and waterkettle. Good bathroom and bed. WiFi works well in the room. Good value for money.

In my opinion is the best location to stay in, wonderful view, don't hesitate to take the Seaview, you can actually hear the waves from the room. Look no further!

The gentlemen at the front desk went above all expectations. He was so kind in securing me a taxi to the airport when I hadn't booked one the day before. He truly saved me my flight. This hotel reminded me of the places we would stay as girls. If you want an authentic experience with a great location, please consider this hotel. Thanks a thousand times.
