This property exceeded my expectations in every way. Susan, Cliff and family have done a magnificent job of creating a warm, private, stunning oasis with cultural and historical respect at the fore. The grounds are beautiful, the room was tastefully and skillfully adorned with interesting handmade and historical items on display. The room has everything you could possibly need for your stay, but if you need anything else, Susan and Cliff will gladly assist. They accommodated my preference for not having alcohol in the room, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I definitely recommend taking breakfast or dinner on the terrace, it is a wonderful experience.

We loved the warm welcome and cool drink and cool towel on arrival as Cliff and Susan welcomed us onto the property. Everything was so well thought of and explained as we walked through the property and grounds being shown around. The history and love and passion put into this home are out of this world, and attention to detail will have you feeling like royalty. I really couldn't name only one thing I liked as I loved every moment being at this place.

Only booking for one night, I wish I had stayed longer.

Jodha Bai is one of those unforgettable, exceptional places to stay. It is the passion project of Cliff and Susan who have recreated this exotic Indian palace full of heart, with extraordinary attention to detail. We stayed in the Lotus suite and it was gorgeous, clean and replete with every little luxury, from the softest towels imaginable, to a welcome bottle of champagne, and an array of complimentary snacks. The whole place is gorgeous and elegant and is a testament to the hard work and inspiring vision of Cliff and Susan. A highlight was soaking in the hot tub after a long day under the full moon, while listening to one of Cliff and Susan's kids play the piano beautifully.

The location was superb, close to the airport, beaches and hills with easy access to the Gold Coast activities whilst allowing us to come back every day to a peaceful and quiet retreat. The property was amazing with such attention to detail, two spas, huge bedroom and lounge/Kitchen area with a wrap around balcony to be enjoyed. We really felt like we were spending time in an Indian Palace! The architecture, the furnishings, the ambience and the warmest welcome from Cliff and Susan gave us a wonderful week of celebration for our 35th Wedding Anniversary! The views to Kingscliff were lovely and watching the lightening come in over the sea was pretty awesome! We had breakfast every day which was very tasty and all fruit supplied was fresh from the garden, served with a Good Morning smile from our wonderful hosts! We enjoyed an authentic Indian Banquet on our anniversary served with cocktails on the verandah overlooking the breathtaking views and stunning sunset skies. We felt extremely spoiled and so very well looked after. Thank you Cliff and Susan for your amazing hospitality and for sharing your vision with us. We will be highly recommending your property to our friends and hope to visit again sometime soon. XO :-)

Absolutely spectacular building with beautiful scenic views toward the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. Location wise, it's only 10 mins or less to Tweed Heads, and about 20 mins to the southern end of the Gold Coast (Burleigh, Palm Beach). Kingscliff is also close by. We stayed in the Jodha Bai Suite and the facilities were excellent; a well equipped kitchen with all the mod cons, a beautiful ensuite with a massive double shower (4 rain showerheads and a removable handheld showerhead), spa, comfy king size bed (it's firm, but we like that!) with a beautiful Indian bedhead, 2x toilets (one in ensuite and one in the powder room), complementary drinks in the bar fridge and some light snacks as well, that are replenished each day. There were even candles available in the bathroom and bedroom to light to set that romantic mood. Service was fantastic and the owners Cliff and Susan were very friendly, warm and welcoming and surprised us with a couple of special treats as it was our honeymoon! Would definitely recommend for high class, romantic getaway that feels special and almost like you could be overseas with all the comforts of being at home!

The beautiful house is amazing, the owner is very enthusiastic, and the view of the Gold Coast and the lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house is clean and tidy. There are many free snacks and drinks. The exquisite decoration is fascinating. It is a good place to relax and enjoy. The breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend coming here to experience the beautiful Indian-style big house.

The facilities were clean, beautiful quality, expansive and very comfortable

The expectation that you would purchase an expensive meal (which was lovely) and breakfast from the facility at a fairly exorbitant price was off putting.

The most beautiful place we've ever stayed. Gorgeous architecture with an amazing story behind it, incredible hospitality and service from Susan and Cliff, and luxury at every turn.
