Convenient location for Downtown (although downtown itself isn't the nicest part of Portland). Clean and Quiet. Large comfortable bed with motion sensor downlights underneath which came on automatically when you got out of bed in the middle of the night, which can either be useful or annoying depending if you are the one getting up or not. Nice large shower. Only ate in the cafe once but the breakfast burrito was very good.

The reception area was pumped full of a very strong and artificial perfume which was incredibly overpowering. I almost gagged every time I walked though.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the reception staff was exceptional. The location is unbeatable, with a light rail station just 3-5 minutes away. Breakfast menu was great.

The service at the restaurant was inconsistent; some days you received water promptly, while other days it was overlooked. Similarly, explanations about the hotel's breakfast package varied—some guests received detailed information, while others were left uncertain. Additionally, the toiletries could use improvement, as it took a long time to rinse the soap off your hands.

Because our flight to Dallas was cancelled, we needed to stay at the hotel by around 4 pm on the day of check-out, and the reception allowed all of us (6 rooms) the late check-out, which was incredibly helpful. Deeply appreciate Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland. We will definitely stay at your hotel for our next visit to Portland! And the restaurant on the 1st floor serve excellent food for breakfast and dinner with a great draft beer! Love your food so much!

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. We parked in the lot across the street and had our back window busted open and items stolen. Glass all over lot from other vehicles as well. I alerted hotel to let people know to avoid parking anywhere in that area. There are still boarded up areas and human feces on the sidewalks. I feel safer in 3rd world countries. Portland has turned into a dump!

Not safe or appealing area (not the interior)

The location of this hotel is incredible. Within walking distance to city's highlights. Great restaurants, food trucks, farmer's market and stores nearby. Area seemed safe with good parking options. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet, clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. One of the highlights of stay was the breakfast included in our room rate. Fresh, made to order, with a lot of options and delicious coffee. We look forward to staying here again when we next visit Portland.

Everything at hotel was great. We know the city is trying to clean up downtown and, since our last visit, we noticed a big improvement.

We loved the staff, their professionalism, and their attentiveness. They treated us like VIP guests. They accommodated all of our needs.

The bathroom doors didn't fully shut because they were sliding doors, therefore no privacy. The shower was surrounded by glass and disturbed the person sleeping every time the light was on even with the curtains.

The hotel is pretty stylish and in a great walkable location. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome. The beds have built in chargers and nice side tables for holding your things. The robe in the room was also super cozy. I utilized the fitness center which had a good variety of machines, equipment, etc, all very clean and up to date. Staff were friendly and courteous.

This is my hotel pet peeve. PLEASE put a large carafe of ice water in your lobby. I hate relying on buying bottled water as it is expensive, wasteful and bad for the planet. The water dispenser in the fitness center was also extremely slow and it seems like it needs to be fixed. Lastly I think the room could have had an extra rug or two over the concrete floors. The valet parking is extremely expensive (I think $47 a night overnight, less for in and out day time, but still pricey). We were able to just use street parking, free parking on Sunday in the area, and probably spent less than $15 on parking for having a car on a Saturday at noon to Monday at noon.

I enjoyed two mornings in the cafe where Annie waited on me and we became friends. She was amazing, remembered what I had to drink the first morning and brought it to me when I came in the next morning. She didn't rush me, It was really nice to sit there before the others in my group were up. She was so hard working, friendly and welcoming. The front desk clerks were all very nice. The bed was very comfortable, nice linens.

I liked the idea of the Kourig coffee maker in the room but since I don't drink coffee I think a different assortment of tea or a cocoa would be nice. There was one green tea. nice English breakfast tea would be nice. Not my favorite decor, but that's just me....

Centrally located, very easy to see the city- had a beautiful view of the cityscape

Lack of microwave in room, paid parking regardless if you are staying there (daily fees if you rent a car and need to park) Good public transportation does negate that though

The Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland was comfortable and stylish. The rooms were spacious, clean, with modern amenities. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, making for an overall enjoyable experience.
