This is a beautiful French-inspired hotel just a few minutes walk from downtown SLO, where there are loads of restaurants, bars and shops. On arrival we were offered an aperitif, which was an amazing surprise. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious (I would definitely recommend getting the french toast). The staff is super friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the noise, the rooms are not soundproof so you can hear absolutely everything that is going outside. The hotel provides face masks and earplugs, which is helpful, but does not entirely solve the privacy and comfort issue.

Absolute stunning little boutique hotel in the heart of beautiful San Luis Obispo. Most lovely staff, beautiful room and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

This boutique hotel was a wonderful stay from start to finish. Beds were so comfortable! And although the rooms weren’t the biggest, it was still situated in a very functional manner. The property was adorable with nice outdoor and indoor seating. They provide you with a yummy dinner appetizer and drink, and a GREAT breakfast in the morning. You can tell there’s a lot of love and effort that went into all the details of your stay, from the wonderful service, great quality food, decor of the place. I can go on and on! I wish I can say that this is a good “budget option” but it’s a good option, period! I wish other non-budget options put in this type of quality into their customers stay.

Our room was situated on the bottom floor by the stairs so we can hear people going up and down at night. But it wasn’t too bothersome and we slept perfectly fine.

Petit Soleil exceeded our expectations. While our room wasn’t particularly large, it featured a comfortable bed and a convenient mini bar setup stocked with pre-made cocktails and non-alcoholic options. The bathroom was spacious, with excellent water pressure in the shower. The provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion all worked well for us. Having little experience with bed and breakfasts, I didn’t know what to expect from the included breakfast, but I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast featured complimentary pastries, coffee, and a choice of items from their menu, such as quiche, granola, and oatmeal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Despite our late arrival after 11:30 PM on a Sunday, the front desk staff checked in with us beforehand and even offered to wait if we were running late. The breakfast staff were equally warm and accommodating. Thank you, Petit Soleil, for a wonderful experience. We hope to return!

Such a good surprise! We had to stay 2 nights extra in SLO and we found Petit Soiel, sucky us! The place is amaxing, so beautiful and very boutique style. Everyone that works there is so nice, we felt very welcome all the time. The rooms are beautiful, a mix between new and old, but very clean and nice.The bed is very good! The room is a little small but you can see the size when you book, so you know what are you waiting for. They have a happy our where you can seat inside in the beautifull room or outside with a very nice vibe, receive one free drink and a little wooden board with charcruterie. We loved the idea. Also, the breakfast is really good. It's not a lot of food (you can pick one pastry and one dish from the menu) but it's good. I would love to come back and I wish you can continue this amazing level of service.

If I can say one thing, would be that the parking space was limited, one of the nights we had to put the car on the street.

The property was small with a lovely bar/dining area and an outside courtyard. The bedroom was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Great bed, linen and shower. A nice minibar if you were tempted. The service was very personal. Lovely helpful staff, such a lovely young team who couldn’t do enough for you. Complimentary drinks and nibbles at 5 pm a lovely touch. Breakfast filling with lovely tempting baking made on the premises

Super cute! Charming and friendly, this intimate B&B provides the perfect place to land after a day exploring SLO. We were greeted with a complimentary happy hour (daily) then started each day with an included breakfast. It’s walkable to the historic center. From here you can tour the mission; enjoy great restaurants and cafes; be among locals at the Thursday Night Market—all in downtown. Take a quick drive from here to Pismo Beach and Morro Bay, or just a bit further for a day trip to Cambria and Hearst Castle, or the wineries surrounding Paso Robles. We’ll be back with friends for sure!

Nothing disliked, but be advised, this is an older building with delicate plumbing. Only flush toilet paper and the toilet needs to finish filling before turning on the shower.

I absolutely love the French influenced design. The furniture, light fixtures and door hardware are so nice and high end. The mattress was so comfortable that I took a photo of the brand! Also took a photo of who made the pillows. Love the upholstery, the tile work in the bathroom. And all the extra details, down to the lovely floral cloth napkins at breakfasting the morning. Coffee is fantastic. And the free made to order breakfast is legitimately delicious.

This is my only complaint. We were in room 14 so I don't know if that is why we heard sounds outside our walls. Thin walls. That was the only problem. It didn't bother me because I LOVED the entire property, but I did notice that. It wasn't so loud that it kept us awake in the evening. Just in the morning when I was getting ready I noticed all the noice, voices and commotion in the other areas of the property.

This small hotel is run by young people who are very attentive and friendly. Rooms are large and have lots of add ons. The hotel is located close to the middle of SLO and is convenient walking distance even for us who were using a wheelchair. I was especially impressed and thankful for Dante who sent us a bottle of a very nice wine to make up for a very short delay in room availability.

Nothing! The people were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the outdoor patios were delightful! We felt like we had gone to France!! We also got a great recommendation for a wonderful restaurant within walking distance.
