Good location, walkable to Byward Market and Parliament and surrounds. Parking onsite for only $10. Very good included breakfast. Beautifully decorated with old fashioned collectables and antiques. No coffee facilities in room, you have to go downstairs but can access the coffee machine and jug for tea making in the dining area at any time.

The lack of tea/coffee facilities in room. Noisy fellow guests talking and laughing loudly in one of the rooms with a verandah til well after midnight and we were directly above so little sleep our first night. There didn't seem to be a quiet time curfew unlike most guesthouses.

Large room with comfortable bed. Good shower and toiletries. Staying at the Inn is an enjoyable step back in time to the Victorian era. The staff are very friendly and helpful and once you are checked in, it’s easy to come and go as you please. Hot food is served at breakfast and the menu changes slightly each day. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Rideau transit station and 20 minute walk to Parliament Hill along one straight road.,The Byward Market is a 10 minute walk with lots of eating options. I enjoyed my stay here.

Great house with history idea for downtown and o train.

Although nothing the hotel could do about it there appears to be a number of drug dependent individuals in the local area, and this was bit disquirting as we arrived on foot, but we soon realised they were there for local community centre and churches and we were not hassled at all.

Quirky decor was very interesting. The parking was good, room was a great size, very clean with a modern bathroom and a veranda to use just by our room! Very strict about not putting suitcases on beds to keep clean. And staff were helpful.

Though close to places of interest and the centre of the city, the surrounding area felt a little run-down and unsafe, though once we had spoken to local people who explained the area had several homeless shelters which close during the day, we felt much more comfortable, and they were right, the streets were clearer in the evening.

A perfect base for exploring Ottawa. Easy to find and there is parking for a small fee. We received a free room upgrade and the room exceeded all our expectations. Super comfy bed, fantastic bathroom and really quiet at night. The whole building is beautiful, with lots of history. East to walk to all the main attractions. Free tea and coffee available 24/7 and a cooked breakfast was a lovely treat. Would highly recommend.

This lovely inn exceeds expectations in so many ways. Great location, walkable to all the major sights in downtown. The glorious and curious prints, objects, and unique furnishings are what make the historic inn charming, comforting, but never too much. Add in the delicious breakfast and delightful staff, and the place is an absolute winner.

McGee 's Inn is a cozy, historic house full of lovely antiques, beautiful interior decoration with attention to details that you feel like you have traveled in time! The location is wonderful, walking distance to many Ottawa lanmarks and favorite spots to enjoy the nightlife. Breakfast serves in main living room and the quality is wonderful! Highly recommend this place 😍

The location is excellent for tourists in Ottawa. We stayed four nights. When I realized that I could make requests at breakfast, for a fruit bowl and for a glass of milk then I enjoyed my 3rd and 4 th breakfasts much more.

The room was too hot initially but then we asked for the heat pump to be fixed and we were fine.

The breakfast was spectacular, and as I'm gluten free, they met my restrictions so well! Overall, I was really pleased and they were very friendly and accommodating.

The location could have been better, only in terms of the safety of the area. The closer I got to Rideau Centre, I didn't feel entirely safe and I think having lights on the street would have helped with my lack of confidence. I know the B&B can't do anything about that, but just how I felt.

Well located, very friendly and exceptionally nice staff, very nice deco and attention to every single detail. Nice breakfast, most of dishes very containing eggs, as a vegan I couldn’t eat them but the staff made fruit salad and toasts for me- much appreciated:)

Our room (n14) was placed between the reception and kitchen- we could hear guests arriving and checking in or out, staff’s conversation.. we were not so bothered but I imagine someone else would be. I would still give 10 points for this stay, but our bathroom was outside of our room. It was not in the room which was making us quite uncomfortable to get up at night and being stressed that we gonna bump into staff or other guests …
