It was luxurious and historic. I literally felt like a Queen as I descended the stairs from our room to see a black and white photo of Queen Elizabeth II on the same steps. Also, the attention to detail, with the turndown service and the replenishment of bottled water every day was so nice and made us feel so well taken care of! Finally, the grounds were gorgeous. We loved taking in the sunset one evening with a cocktail from the outdoor bar, while our kids ran and played in the expansive lawn.

It makes sense based on the history of the hotel, but we felt a bit out of place. Not ever sure if we were formal enough and if our kids were behaving properly enough.

Every aspect of the Inn, setting, decor, amenities, service, and food, was first rate, befitting the property's history and reputation. We felt very welcome and cared for. The Williamsburg Inn is much better in every respect than it used to be despite the loss of the Regency Dining room as a daily venue for meals. Times change and the Inn has with them but the core values of elegance, comfort, and service remain.

It would have been nice if the Restoration Bar stayed open just a little later.

We had a beautiful room, the most amazing shower, the grounds were pristine. It rained the entire time we were there so we didn't get to see all of the attractions,

The hotel restaurant prices were outrageous.

Location. Well trained staff. Loved coffee available in lobby 24/7

Fire alarm at 1 am. Had to evacuate. Didn’t see staff to help. No one directing clients. Not a fire but electrical fault. Did give us a free breakfast or credit for our trouble. Nice touch

Did not have breakfast.

Dinning was not good. We had hoped to have fine dinning and it was not available. Menue was not good and had not many items that were up to our standards.
