We had a good experience at The Settlement Historic Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. The historic charm of the property added a unique atmosphere that made the visit more memorable. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it was a nice stay with no complaints. Great location and rooms were comfortable. The rooms are old but it has a nice vibe to it. The owners of the settlement are beautiful people, extremely warm and friendly and their dog is the sweetest. I love how it feels like staying with family, when the owners are close by and always willing to have a chat, and their dog always happy for a pat. We had a great time, we love Echuca and love how everything is walking distance.

I think upgrading the electronics/ TV would be great to include Netflix etc. great for the nights you want to stay inside and watch a movie.

My husband and I stayed in a unit with grab bars by the toilet and in the shower, which was easily accessible. It had a fridge in the bathroom so the noise could be closed off by a door. The microwave was useful. The hotel is quite close to the CBD and has interesting historical info boards on exterior walls. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

My husband was unable to use his wheelchair or wheelie walker to get past the bed into the bathroom but instead had to slide along the bed as the space was not wide enough between the end of the bed and the inbuilt bench.

The family room (3 adults and 2 children) was clean, warm and comfortable, with room enough to move about, even with all the luggage and toys. We were really appreciative for all the extra bedding, it was cold! The motel is such an easy walk to the Port ad river, the town centre & the eateries - it’s such a handy location to everything.

A clothes horse may be useful, especially for coats on wet days!

We choose the Settlement Historic Hotel because it allowed dogs to stay, which was a huge bonus. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Our room was on the corner adjacent to the pool and the main road. It was a super quiet night so we could hear the traffic light beeping sound, but thankfully not much other noise. The location is excellent. We walked into the main hub for wharf activities, pubs, dinner and drinks. Shower/bathroom is a little dated, but it does the job. The heater was excellent, as was the electric blanket!

Room was very clean , location was good close to middle of old part of Echuca easy walking distance, close to food shops etc. Rooms were very quiet being solid brick. Excellent temperature and pressure in shower. Tea and coffee making provided as well as plates, cutlery and a toaster.

Lighting was a bit dim, plenty of it but not easy to read paper etc.

Easy to find. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The balcony overlooked a park - a pleasant view. Room service was available. The food was very tasty, delivered promptly and reasonably priced. Parking was free and easy.

This was completely out of the control of the venue but something to consider when choosing a room. Our room 302 (?), located at the back, was near a neighbour with a car sporting a noisy muffler! He was very impressed with it, and for the two nights we were there he zoomed, proudly and loudly, up and down the otherwise quiet road. With any luck the novelty will wear off and the room and view will be undisturbed for future visitors.

The room was clean and tidy although the light shade in the bathroom could have been cleaned as full of bugs and old tubes of shower gel etc had not been removed as on top of the tile ledge. Possibly not seen by the cleaning staff The location was great, easy to find and walking distance to town for shops and eateries

The bed was a bit hard, and I prefer bigger bath towels

A friendly staff member was on hand to welcome me when I checked in. The room was clean, aircon excellent given the humid conditions on the days I stayed in Echuca, the bed was comfortable, lots of hot water and parking just out side my room. The Settlement is in an excellent location walking distant to the historic port and the wonderful shops in High St. A very good price given it was the height of the tourist season.

The wind mill at the front of the hotel could be very noisy especially at night when trying to sleep.

It was walking distance from everywhere and so good for the price!!

We shared a door with the people next to us. On our first night the people next to us were fighting and we could hear everything. The next night was a different group but they had a dog that barked all night and we could hear it like it was in our room.
