My room was small but was exceptionally clean, in fact cleaner than any other hotel room, including some luxury hotels that I have stayed in. The bed was comfy as was the pillow and despite being on the ground floor, noise was minimal at night. The hotel is just around the corner from Estrecho Metro station on line one, which took us into the centre of Madrid very quickly.

I honestly cannot think of anything I didn't like, although I will point out that there is no lift for the upper floors, this would not have been a problem for me and with such helpful and friendly staff, I think they would be more than willing to help you with luggage if you need.

I booked this property for its location, as I was catching a train to San Sebastián early morning from Chamartin Station. Friendly and helpful welcome at reception. My room was small and basic, but clean. Shared bathrooms were also clean. ( Good powerful shower)! My flight to Madrid was delayed by 2 hours, and it was stiflingly hot, so my planned trip into central Madrid was cancelled. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, bars and shops, selling a variety of cuisines. The reception staff called for a taxi to the train station, which cost €12, and was about 10 minutes drive away. I was surprised how busy this drive approaching Chamartin was at 06.30. Metro trains start at about 06.30, but the staff weren’t entirely sure how often they were running. I would recommend this property for singles/ couples needing a base to explore Madrid and further afield.

Hostal located a few metres from metro station Estrecho. Clean, comfortable. I was in an individual room with one single bed, the room was small. There was a sink in the room, shower and toilet were shared. Reception opened 24/7, so late check-in (after midnight) was ok.

The only disadvantage was that there was no AC in the room, only the ceiling fan, which did not cool the room enough when there was 40 degrees outside.

Room was checked and done daily same as in hotel, towels changed as well if needed. Room was right spacious, heating worked (yes I needed it in may) . And Location is very next to Line 1 metro, and not so far by walk from Cuatro Caminos station on which you come if you come by Metro from Airport. Bathrooms are clean and if busy you can use others available on floor. Bigger ones have hairdryer too.

There is no view, but it wasn't expected either.. Idea is to explore city not hotel. Only minus is location as its quite far from city centre so if you plan to go daily often between city and room for some reason.

The staff especially Alberto were excellent. Helpful. Always had time to advise on how to get around the city. The bed was very comfortable. The room comfortable. The ceiling fan was most welcome The shared showers were excellent, always spotless. Water hot I felt safe in the area. There were plenty of cafes. The Metro station was easy to use. And 2/3 minutes from the hostal. I was able to leave my luggage with reception after checking out, as I had a late flight, which meant I could make the most of the day. Even took a shower before leaving too.

Only that I didn't have a kettle in the room. But perhaps if I asked they would have let me have one.

Very clean room and very efficient use of the space, the shower was clean and bed was comfortable. The AC was working and a must in Madrid during the summer. Staff were so lovely and always ready to help. Location is fantastic, direct access to linea 1 which takes you to all the main touristic attractions and monuments. The hostel is situated in quiet street of a lively and safe neighbourhood. Great for eating out and shopping until late.

The rooms aren’t soundproof and my room was giving onto the street which means I got woken up by the bin men on Saturday.

Close to the metro, and the neighborhood is very convenient with shops and cafes, it was very pleasant. The staff when I checked-in was super nice and friendly! Shower and toilet were clean and nice, I love the sink in the room, nice and clean to use.

Soundproof was bad, when ppl walking and talking on the hallway it's like they're talking next to you. Luckily there were not so many guests on my floor so it was acceptable. The night shift staff was grumpy.. :/

I made the booking, because of the good value for money. It was fine for one night. I needed a comfortable bed and a good shower and those were the reasons, why I booked this hostel . Friendly staff at the reception. From the airport it will take ca. 45 min. by metro and the train has to be changed twice. The hostel does not have a lift and I recommend a stay only with light luggage. The room does not have a lot of space. For people who like to spend the most time outdoor and prefer to eat out it is perfect for 2 nights. It does not have a restaurant. I found one coffee bar not so far away. The hostel is around the corner of the metro station Estrecho, line Nr. 1. For soccer fans the stadium is not so far away. With a good running metro system you can go where you like. In general I recommend to speak some words/ sentences in Spanish.

Hostal Falfes is one block from Estrecho metro stop, and four stops from Chamartin. It is on the metro line that goes to Sol, Grand Via, Atocha; right to the center of Madrid! It is newly remodeled, and exceptionally clean. There are restaurants and cafes within an easy walking distance. I have stayed here frequently and always find it a great place for my visits to Madrid!

I loved the location and area. Its a 1 mintute walk to Estrecho station which take you everywhere. I loved the 15 minute stroll to the Santiago Bernabeu. Location and value canmot be beaten. Gracias....

Its a hostel. What do you expect? Everything was as i expected for the money i paid. I would have liked a safety deposit box in my room (other hostels for a similar price do have them).
