The hotel had the atmosphere of a true family run hotel with a professional twist. The staff were attentive and helpful. The position of the hotel on the island gave us the opportunity to watch the sunrise and the sunset from our room 8, as well as hearing the water lapping against the walls.. The food was first class, with plenty of fresh fish from the lake. The wines were great, chosen by the their son who is a qualified sommelier.

I can't say there was anything wrong, only to warn that there is no lift and the rooms are on 3 floors. Also, weekends get busy on the Island with day trippers, but during the week it was quiet during the week in October.

Nice room with a lovely view of the lake from the balcony. Liked the staff. Location is great - right by the lake. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that but some decent restaurants nearby (recommend the Trei Archi pizzeria). The private beach access is actually a small jetty with a couple of sunbeds. Thought there might be some competition for this small space but it was fine and good for a swim/sunbathe. (There is a public beach/grassy area a short walk away as another swimming option if you need it.)

Wifi signal wasn't good in the room (although fine downstairs) but wasn't a big problem.

Noisy scooters at night even though the island is car free. Also the ferry company wouldn't allow us to bring our bicycles to the island so we had to find a locked room in a bar and walk barefoot to the hotel on the island. The hotel owner then complained to the ferry company and was promised that the policy will be changed so that shouldn't happen anymore to future cyclotourists. Thank you 😊 🙏

The location was brilliant! Open the shutters of your room or walk out on your balcony for an amazing view across Lake Iseo. Breakfast was also amazing - croissants and pastries cooked inhouse. Waking to the smell of these cooking in the morning was amazing. Only a short walk to one of the main ferry stops with lots of shops and beautiful church. This family run hotel was the best stay of our Italian holiday.

Perfect location next to the lake. Very close to the Ferry terminal. The room is very neat ( cleaned every day and towels changed), a window and a balcony overlooking the lake. The food is amazing. Breakfast is sumptuous with home grown fruits, home made cakes and marmalades. They use olive oil of their own production. Nicola and the staff (family members) are very generous and kind. The best accommodation to make you want to come again n again.

No elevator to the second floor. But Nicola n his staff helped us carry the bag upstairs.

This family hotel is very cosy and offers the best balcony views. We got top floor room and can't get enough of that beautiful view. There is a little pier with sun loungers by the hotel, and it was perfect to cool down and watch the sunset. Breakfast was plentiful and great selection. We loved our stay ❤️

Great place on island. It is a family run business, so you feel bit like "at home" or on a visit. There was a nice view from balcony to the lake. Also during the breakfat you have marvelous view on the lake. You can reach this accomodation quite well - it is not far from the port in Peschiera Maraglio.

There is not much space in the room to put you things, but generally you don't go there to stay in the room. You have to count to pay parking in Sulzano and be ready to take all your stuff with you on the boat.

The room was very pleasant especially with the balcony which had a lake view. The breakfast was very good, the room was spotless and the staff most helpful. Nico helped us plan our route to Sarnico as the ferry schedule was not as we expected. The journey by boat provided a very scenic tour of the island. We loved watching the grebes caring for their young on the lake. We would definitely return to La Foresta.

One the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Amazing view fron the room, the sun beds just near the entrance , restaurant inside with breakfast. The host was nice with nice communication, help us with everything. The only sad that we was only 1 night, wish to stay longer..

Nice family run hotel restaurant Breathtaking views fro bedroom window and from the restaurant Excellent restaurant with locally sourced ingredients ( ultra fresh fish from the lake) Excellent electric rental bikes at the hôtel perfect for 1-2 trip around the isle.
