Breakfast

Although I had provided my credit card number to reserve the room I intended to pay by debit card. On checking I was told $100 bond was being held on my credit card but nothing about payment for the room. Upon checking out I attempted to pay using my debit card but was informed full payment had been charged to my credit card on checking in. I was not advised of this and did not authorise it. The additional charge is not huge but is annoying that I had to pay it when I shouldn’t have.

Excellent location. Quiet comfortable room with a lovely view of the Esplanade gardens and the sea. Tv, tea-making facilities and complimentary bottles of water were appreciated. The hotel also stored my luggage after check out so I could make the most of some sight-seeing time before my afternoon flight.

Air conditioner was noisy - had to turn it off so I could sleep. I wanted to have coffee and a pastry for breakfast but I was told this was not possible so I had to eat outside of the hotel

The food was great, and the staff were very friendly. The room itself was quite large and very clean. I liked that the alarm clock was also a charging station for your phone. I felt safe and comfortable, and there was onsite parking. I liked that all the information about the room and hotel was digital via the TV, however I could see how this could also be an issue for those not digitally inclined.

I didn't like that you walked through the restaurant to get to the swimming pool, and the pillows in the room were too hard. There were 4 pillows per bed (double) and they were all hard. It would have been better to have two hard and two soft to allow people to swap if needed.

the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. there was a cofy lounge type chair, a second one would have been nice seeing as there were two guests, and the view was amazing.

One towel hook for two guests. there was a towel rail but it was in the shower recess,where they were likely to get wet. One lounge chair for two guests. Not evceryone likes to sit on the bed to watch tv or a movie. Water pressure left a lot to be desired when trying to wash hair.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, bed were comfortable, toiletries were of fine quality, and linen supply was adequate. Breakfast was plentiful with good selection of fresh foods provided. Restaurant opening times were good.

No clean cups in the room each day for tea / coffee drinking - plus not enough milk supplied in the fridge, so brought some up each day from the dining room after breakfast.

Honestly we couldnt fault it, We have been to Darwin many times and have now found the best hotel to suit all our needs. Location, cleanliness, 24/7 concierge if needed, laundry and gym facilities, Pool is at a perfect temperature to swim at any time of the day.

This is being very picky though but could be an issue with other customers... was one of the male bartenders doesn't now what a full glass of wine is or should be...

everything was lovely, friendly accomodating staff, the foyer was clean and smelled really nice, all the areas were lovely,fresh,crisp, clean,all the staff were amazing, I booked my daughter and her partner in here for Bass in the Grass Festival and even though they are only young(18), they were not made to feel like kids or treated less than adults, they loved all of the hotel, the breakfast was a highlight, the pancake machine was a favourite..:-), this is a really nice clean refurbished family hotel, the pool area is nice,and its so close to everything, easy walk everywhere, thank you so much and will recommend to all of our friends for a lazy weekend or a work trip..

All of it was wonderful. Even as we had a hiccup with our keycards not working properly, the staff were patient and very kind about everything. Ten out of ten.

The staff are gorgeous, so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and I asked for lots of pillows which were on the bed when I arrived. There is a snack bar in the lobby which is handy as most flights come in late so you can grab a bite with ease before going to bed. The pool was perfect, plenty of space and shade which you need in the NT heat. The refurbishment of the hotel has been done well - and the bed was comfortable.

No water in the fridge in the room and I wasn’t sure if it was ok to drink fm the tap ad there wasn’t any signage. Housekeeping starts early and I wasn’t advised and was woken up by them one morning.

It was close to the park and our kids could play The rooms were clean and staff very friendly

This is my second time staying at the property and I must say I am a bit disappointed that we always encounter during those stay. First stay- we encountered domestic violence in the passage where police was called. Second stay- we couldn’t sleep from the noise caused by people who were on the same level. The noise sounded like people were under influence swearing and loud noises. I tried to ring the receptionist and no one answered the phone. This was between 1am -3 am. The noise continued and I feared for my life to even go downstairs to inform the staff as there were not picking up the call. In the morning, I I formed staff and I was told no one had complained.

Good size room and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very adequate. Reception staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly.

There was a lack of staff in dining room at times and not efficient clearing of tables and used crockery. Could have been much more efficient with more staff. Definitely understaffed! However, staff were very pleasant and helpful.
