Exceptional service from front desk staff - Anastasia very helpful, professional and pleasant.

The breakfast was excellent- a wide choice of cereals/fruit,etc and piping hot cooked breakfast buffet. There were even pancakes with maple syrup and toffee yogurt. The room was spacious and well appointed - though the furnishings were a little tired. It was great to have flexible air conditioning. The room was well cleaned every day and towels changed as required. The location of the Dragon Hotel is second to none - minutes from the Quadrant Shopping Centre, Bus Station and only slightly further to the Train Station- a flat walk for wheeling cases. Best of all, Swansea Bay is only a 15 minute walk via Swansea Marina, teamin with boats.

One of the 2 lifts was out of order, which made for long waits from the 6th floor. Also the coffee machine was out of order.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms and good air-conditioning. The hotel is generally clean and positioned centrally for the town

When you arrive you have to enter you car reg to parking eye and you are charged £10 for each night. Or fined. You are then asked about breakfast (another£11 per night) so the price you start of at online goes up £21 upon arrival. Bar opens when it feels like and food in the brasserie (bar) is a choice of 3 pizza (£14) or 3 microwave currys (£19) Fortunately lots of options outside. Hotel could be lots better with heating in the public areas ie bar and breakfast room. An increased food offer and a predictable bar opening time

Very good room size (we booked a disabled access double room on the 6th floor at the very end of a corridor), it was more like a suite!! Very comfy bed, very clean and quiet. Didn't book breakfast so can't comment on that.

Only one lift and it was SMALL!! Just enough room for 2 with very small luggage! Lift also used by cleaners so could be a long wait. Heating in room not very efficient. Had it turned up high for the whole 3 days and it was just about ok. Not cold, but not cozy either. Shower was not very powerful and not very warm, even on the highest setting. Just had to have a quick wash and get dried quick to warm up. Also, I don't think patrons should have to pay extra for parking....I hate it when hotels do this. It should be included in the price!

Yes this hotel is badly in need of some love. The rooms need a refurb and some colour, and new carpet is a must, but the central location is a big plus. The breakfast is good but what puts this place in the 5 star range are the staff. Just had five days there over Christmas and even though they were working through Christmas the staff were smiling and helpful. I have to call out one name, Alexandra who worked on reception, her local knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile, all with a smile, were worth the world. Thank you to all at the Dragon for a lovely time. See you next year.

Hotel staff were very efficient and friendly. Room/ bathroom were clean and serviced each morning. Location was very central.

I made a block booking for 12 and allocated each room to an individual occupants name using the Booking.Com app. Unfortunately, when we all arrived ( at different times), there was no record of the allocated names, so it required the desk staff to start the booking in process afresh. After talking to reception, it appears that arrangements made through Booking.Com are not communicated to the hotel, so don't waste your time and contact the hotel directly to make changes. Thanks a lot Booking.Com for wasting my time

Foe the price I really wasn't expecting much but I was blown away with the staff professionalism and the room was huge, airy, clean and comfortable. No problem with holding a meeting online, the wifi remained strong with no buffering or breaking up (unfortunately!). My only frustration (same as so many other hotels) was the air con didn't seem to work. It provided warm air when demanded but didn't help to cool the room later. But, to be honest, I didn't even realise there was a/c so was a bonus really!

We had an upgrade to an apartment, which had plenty of room in it and facilities to cook if required, ideal if you were stopping longer as we were only there for a night and had food out. Pillows were a bit soft and could do with heating in bathroom, as was cold, to be fair though they did say we could of had a portable heater if asked. Would recommend this option as if you are in Swansea longer it would be cheaper to cook than eat out every day.

The convient central location is obviously a big bonus about staying at this hotel, I liked how clean and cosy guest rooms were and the fact that causei had an issue, trying to lock 🔐 my first guest room door securely, i was able to swap that guest room for a another guest room nearby, as quickly as possible, the staff were lovely and really good too.. I also was given a back up portable heater for my stay if needed, both guest rooms were lovely and very warm too.. I would definitely recommend any traveller to stay at this hotel too, Really like the patriotic welsh symbolism of the name of this hotel too..

I didn't like the confusing temperature control switch digital one in the guest room, Obviously didn't like the fact i couldn't close the first guest bedroom door properly, but that was sorted, as soon as possible, I was very pleased happy with the services provided for my stay there..
