Setting was nice..lots of seabirds visible from the window, we went to the beach to see them. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was directly outside. We were a good distance from the road. Dining table was well used, which is nice in one way as we weren't scared to use it, but might need a refresh soon. Excellent fish and chip place a short drive away.

We didn't see a person to check in or check out. Even finding out about laundry was done over an intercom.. It would have been nice to see a person, even if only once! Be aware you will need to drive to town for restaurants, or to the fish and chips

Very comfortable beds, basic unit with heat pump, clean and tidy, basic kitchenette but adequate for a few days, good shower but could do with a new door seal. Nice bbq and communal seating area outside courtyard. Great spot next to beach, but sadly not a lovely beach (for swimming) - but perfect for a glass of wine to watch the sunset. Nice friendly staff. Not expensive and 7 mins drive from town.

Nice overall, a bit tired and needs a bit of tlc, and some attention e.g. making sure the curtains all have hooks and shower leak is fixed. Maybe some creative touches. Some noise from the main road, but very minimal. No shops nearby, nearest dairy about 2kms away but that's not the motels fault!

We stayed for one night at Sunset Motel, we wished we could have stayed longer!!! The most beautiful views to wake up to - the motel was extremely well kept and the unit was very clean and went further than our expectations. We would highly recommend staying here, whether you have a family or are a couple, it is a wonderful place to stay! We definitely will be back 😍 (we even accidentally left items in our room which we forgot, and the reception then called us and put it aside for us to collect - extremely good service!) There was some slight road noise - but very minimal

The motel is in a lovely location by the water which is great for watching the sun set. Our unit was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a separate bedroom, and we thought it was good value. There was a little table and chairs outside which is nice to sit at in the late afternoon. Across from the motel is a parking area with picnic benches, where we ate our dinner and watched the sunset. The motel is in a good location for setting off north along the west coast of the peninsula. A car is needed as it is a bit too far from the town to walk. Parking was easy directly outside the unit.

Very very clean, bright and cheerful. Good quality linen, excellent bed. Lovely staff. Would recommend to anyone. Bathroom recently renovated and lovely if a little cosey.

Only two hooks in the entire unit. No hooks in bathroom and only one small window sill for a shelf. No net curtains for privacy. Either have your curtains pulled shut and sit in the dark or open for everyone to look in. The result of the above was when we showered we had to close every curtain in the unit bar the back one and one in the bedroom to get from the bathroom where there is nowhere to put clothes in order to get the bedroom where we had two hooks and no wardrobe. Otherwise very comfortable stay.

Exceptionally clean and well kept We were lucky enough to be upgraded to three bedroom which was spacious and well appointed with fabulous views Easy check in Grounds and gardens well cared for and lovely

Next to freedom camping site which made us a little wary but was absolutely fine and very peaceful while we were there Right at the end of town but with a car made very little difference, and the setting more than made up for it.

Great little spot, with great sunsets. Easy check-in, we were able to walk right in. Really helpful couple - they lent us a shovel for hot water beach & gave suggestions since we were visiting for Easter long weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the house keeping, which we rarely see unless we are staying someone 3-4 nights. But after one night they came in, gave us fresh towels and took out our garbage! Basic kitchen with two burners - and a great fridge! Would definitely recommend!

Can you please add a curtain or blinds on the kitchen window, it was a bit uncomfortable knowing people can see into our room, especially at night. An extra TV in the Master room would be nice too, especially when the kids want the living room TV all to them selves lol. Overall, the kids really enjoyed their stay, we will be back onec it's Summer 🙂 Thank you very much Sunset Motel🙂

The location was fabulous. Great to sit and watch the sunset and all the wonderful birds that came for the oysters as the tide went out. Facilities were fine, bathroom was tight as my husband is very tall. We didn't see any staff, key was on the table and then left there on exit.

Bathroom was quite small , but average people would manage fine. We only had a 1 night stop.

I loved the atmosphere. Both my partner and I felt very comfortable and warm. Before arrival we received a message regarding information about our stay. Thought that was very easy, accessible and made things stress free. Loved the bed warmers especially through the cold nights. Loved that our vehicle was in its own parking space under shelter, that way our belongings weren’t getting wet. And last but not least the beautiful view. On a good day that sunset would be amazing however unfortunately we had gone with bad weather conditions. Township is beautiful and the people! Thanks for having us definitely will be back.
