We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ancora. The location is excellent, close to everything we needed. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. What truly stood out was the exceptional service — the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Helena at the reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Her warm attitude and attention to detail were truly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Bathroom a little outdated Shower water didn’t flow too well meaning the shower easily overflows

All staff were incredibly service-minded and helped us with everything from changing rooms to vegan breakfast options and the housekeepers had great attention to detail. The table of snacks in the lobby and the free coffee in the room was much appreciated throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the balconies was amazing. The rooms were sound proofed so we did not notice the noise from the street or other guests.

The Breakfast was great !!! The room too, apart from the fact that the single room was very very small...Whereas most of the hotel give a small double for a single, each of us had a very small single for a single (kind of the chauffeur's room).

Staff charming; when getting my room, I thought that it just deserved the 4 stars, because of the small size... Anyway, our 2 nights there were agreable and we might get back to this Hotel, thank you.

Lovely boutique hotel with interesting features. Nice breakfast and good location. Even though it was on a busy road, we weren't disturbed by any noise. The snacks and welcome drinks were a really nice touch.

It was a shame there were a large amount of roadworks obscuring the view of the lake - not the hotel's fault, but did detract from our experience.

We had a very good bed. Very good silent airconditioning. The tv had casting build in so you can watch your own videostream. Friendly staff and most of all a very very very good breakfast with everything you could wish for. Even fresh mimosa are possible.

The room has everything but these rooms are on the verge of remodeling. It was a bit outdated and begins to become old.

Our second time staying at the hotel Ancora. There is a wonderful art deco inspired elegance to the hotel, exemplified by the staff who complement the aesthetic with their manner and professionalism. It could be a model for the best boutique hotels to follow. The breakfast is superb by any standard, world class quality and a wonderful selection of food. The location is on the road next to Lake Maggiore (which is very convenient) and the staff will guide you with regard to parking options

A very nice hotel on the front in Intra. Warm welcome, especially from the manager who seems to greet everyone personally which is a nice touch. We arrived mid-afternoon and were tired so upgraded to a junior suite with a large balcony. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, fresh and appetising. Motorbike parking on the street close by.

Beyond their control, but the traffic along the front is endless and there is a noisy square close by. However, the room was pretty well soundproofed and no problem sleeping.

Perfect location , the cleanliness of the hotel and the variety of food served during the breakfast.

We think that refurbishing is needed in terms of mattress in the bedroom. We complained about it the next day of our stay and they didn’t hesitate to change it .

The view from the balcony is insanely gorgeous, the room we were in was spacious. We got complimentary cupcakes ☺️ I loved the hotel. The hotel is right across from the ferry stop

My only issue is that they gave on key per room so if one of us had to leave we had to either be without electricity or without a key if we weren’t together
