The hotel's diving environment is very good. The hotel chose a great diving spot, very happy.

The hotel restaurant needs to pay attention to food hygiene, the lobster bought for processing was not cooked properly, and when it was served to me, there was even a mosquito stuck on it. Of course, most of the time it's okay. The service attitude of the hotel staff is not good enough, giving the impression that they don't like you very much. The first snorkeling experience was supposed to last an hour, but it ended in 20 minutes. I had to urge them to continue. The hotel doesn't have enough boats, and chartering one wasn't an option. There might be a problem with the hotel's cash register; I was forced to pay twice. So, if possible, try to pay in cash.

If you want to go with free shuttle, the boat leaves very early 8.30. Otherwise you have to pay for the shuttle 1500000 IDR. You have to pay for coffeee and other soft drinks, it is not included in alll inclusive.

The Komodo Resort is a great place if you want to snorkel/dive, eat something nice and just relax. If there is a paradise on earth you might find it there- and if not: you will still have a wonderful time. What makes the difference there are the people. First of all we had a great dive guide, named Fandhy (just for the two of us). He wanted to know what we like and what we would love to see. He really gave everything to make us happy! Then there are Julia and Michal, the managers of the dive centre. They are so lovely and personally into it making everyone happy. Doesn’t matter what problem you have: they will fix it and make you smile again. And then there is the staff that looks for you room, at the restaurant and everything else: they are just lovely! Last but not least: the food is an indonesion/Italian mix and really nice. It is served in a restaurant (no buffet). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

The food was exceptional… something that I didn’t have high expectations especially on a full board and only 1 place to have meals

The resort is located in a stunning natural setting, with a vibrant coral reef right in front – the most beautiful I have ever seen, full of colorful corals, turtles, eagle rays, and cuttlefish. Even if there is no direct access to the sea from the beach, a boat is always available from the pier to drop you in the water. The bungalows are spacious, air-conditioned, and surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, and the island itself offers amazing sunset views from the hilltops. Excursions, diving trips, and snorkeling equipment rental were well organized and enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the dining experience and service did not match the beauty of the location. Meals were limited in variety, with lunch offering only one main dish and dessert, and service was very slow – sometimes 30 minutes for a single plate. Staff often struggled with English and forgot basic things like cutlery. Even worse, during a dive the staff lost my sandals (Birkenstock), along with other guests’ shoes, at sea. The compensation was only a pair of cheap flip-flops, which felt inadequate given the inconvenience. Overall, the resort needs significant improvements in service and food quality to be at the level of its exceptional setting.

I stayed at Komodo Resort from April 14-21, and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever had, even compared to luxury stays in the Maldives and Bora Bora. The service was exceptional, with friendly and genuinely caring staff, from the dive guides to the restaurant team, and even the owner Julian personally checking in. The resort’s location on a peaceful private island is unbeatable, avoiding the daily speedboat rides required at other places in Labuan Bajo. The house reef was stunning, perfect for snorkeling with vibrant coral and marine life just a few meters deep, and the beach was beautiful and quiet. The rooms were comfortable, blending traditional Indonesian style with modern amenities, strong A/C, and fast Wi-Fi. The food was delicious and felt like home-cooked meals, with flexibility for picky eaters like me. Diving in Komodo was incredible, with top-notch guides, great underwater life, and a relaxed, valet-style diving setup, and I can’t wait to return, especially to stay in the new villas they’re building.

· What an absolutely blissful place to stay. We loved just hanging out at the resort, lounging on the sun beds, and snorkeling the their pristine house reef. Honestly, it's some of the best snorkeling I've ever done, and it's just outside the resort! Absolutely idyllic. Food was tasty and there were a few options for vegetarians. We did the day-long trip to Pink Beach, Komodo National Park, etc. We were a little stressed about it because we had come all that way and wanted to see the dragons, but they have a minimum number of people they require to take the trip (can't remember if it's 6 or 8). They were able to do it for us anyway though, with just 4 people after all, and it was a fantastic day. I'm already itching to get back there again, because it was actually paradise, an amazing place to slow down in a remote location and let your pulse slow.

Sometimes the restaurant seemed a bit disorganized. We were forgotten a couple of times or they forgot our order. I notice that the wait staff aims to remember everyone's orders rather than writing them down. I think there would be fewer mishaps if they just wrote it down! Also, coffee should be included in the price! :)

We stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time! Staff are very welcoming and polite. Food was also excellent. Our bungalow with panorama sea view window was beautiful and clean, with mosquito net installed for the bed. We went for a total of 17 dives with the dive center. They are professionally run and very safety concious. Both the manager and the guides went out of their way to meet all of our wishes. Marine wildlife in Komodo is world class and never disappointed. We warmly recommend staying and diving here!

Lovely holiday. All staff were perfect. Rooms spacious , clean and comfortable and private. Food was very nice and good selection. Very nice day beds. Fantastic snorkelling tours with very helpful guides. Mantas, turtles, sharks and plenty fish and coral . Easy snorkelling on tours. Usually very slow drift. Plenty of kayaks for use. House reef was beautiful with lots fish and coral. Is current dependant. Varied from very still to decent current depending on tides/moon phase. Anyway if current is present there is a dinghy that drops you off anytime you want and just drift back to pier. Great sunsets and nice view of islands from 5 minute walk up hill. Definately would return.

Food took a bit of time to arrive but management is aware and solving this and anyway the view from restaurant is beautiful while you wait.

Remote quiet location. Great reef just of jetty for snorkeling. Very friendly staff both in the resort and when diving or on day trips. Food is amazing with a pretty decent range of dishes. The restaurant staff are so friendly but the service is a little slow however if you just switch to island time then it’s not an issue. Just slow down relax and enjoy. Day trip to Komodo was great. The difference in service when we saw how other trips operated was night and day. Walter was our guide and he was fantastic. Also the dive crew is so well organized and helpful. I can’t remember everyone’s names but I felt safe and everything was perfect. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay.

Only suggestion would be for the resort to maybe have someone walk the beach twice a day to pick up any trash that may wash up on shore. There is not a lot but I saw many guests including myself pick up the odd water bottle etc.
