The staff at this property were wonderful. Everyone was warm, helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs - including the front desk, the bar, the restaurant at breakfast, housekeeping, etc. The property is located in the Salamanca neighborhood, where there are many Michelin restaurants and both local and international luxury shops. We enjoyed weaving up and down the streets to discover new and familiar brands, great dining, etc. The area around the hotel is extremely safe, and easy to navigate.

We loved the location of the property, and we love walking miles each day when we visit a city. It's important to note that the property is 2+ miles away from most activities and tourist destinations in Madrid. If you don't like to walk long distances, plan to take an Uber or take a taxi.

Breakfast was delicious; service a little patchy as it was busy so had to order some things several times. Location was the best: so close to some great shops, bars, restaurants and a short walk to the Retiro Park and most museums, the Palace etc. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the bar area was nice to have drinks in. It was in a peaceful location, despite the access to shops etc.

It was pretty expensive for a relatively small room overlooking the internal courtyard - my room didn't have a kettle and only offered Nespresso coffee - although I love Nespresso coffee, I also love tea and there was no option for this!

The restaurant connected to the hotel which I understand is a concession and not the hotel properly, is a real let down !! Very mediocre food . Bad service. I mean not up to the standard of the SLH brand . The hotel should close that wall and dissociate itself completely from that restaurant or find another tenant.

Staff was very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable & spacious. The beds were nice & comfy. The lighting was good in the room. There is a safe in the closet which we used. They re-stocked water bottles every afternoon. The daily housekeeping was nice. The toiletry products that are provided are really good. Ate in the restaurant for breakfast only but it was really good...great eggs! The area is perfect around the hotel. Easy walking to the Park, the Prado, restaurants & shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are a bit small. This isn’t normally an issue. But in this case there was a lot of superfluous furniture stuffed into a small space (couch, table, full size bar etc) which eliminated a lot of otherwise usable space. Less in this case would be more

Perfect location, very efficient staff at reception desk, rooms are very clean but quite small. Very comfortable bed! Good shower! Good breakfast!

Staff at the restaurant very confused, some good some bad, though the food is great. You can hear noise from the street at late hours and on the middle of the night! I ordered tea at the reception bar and it took 30 min to make it! The service at the bar and breakfast room is unstable!

Top class boutique hotel in a very smart upmarket area of Madrid. The staff were very attentive, the bar area really superb, the adjoining restaurant some of the best food we ate in Madrid and the area very sophisticated and quiet. The best choice for Madrid if you want to be slightly away from the main shopping area and experience a high class Madrid lifestyle for a few days.

You can find cheaper but the Totem is worth the extra cost for a few days.

really great hotel to stay alone or with partner. I like everything. Especially was impressed with cleanliness, quality of facilities, beds was amazingly comfy (very good pillows). Breakfast was included and it was a la carte service, which was great! absolutely fantastic experience and surely I will come back again.

The agility of the staff desk team, our room was not meeting our expectations and they changed us to a better room very quick.

our room was not having bad tube, for us this was crucial as my wife is at the 35th week pregnancy and she needed to bath continuously. I would like to be aware that any room with bad tube wasn’t available due to renovations in the building! Also the reservations team was annoying, I Wand not feeling secure to pay via link (I personally have bad experience) and the lady insisted on it several times. At the end the front desk team managed to offer me other payment option!

The hotel is not good value for money it’s a little bit pricey. We were given a room on the fifth floor attic, so the window was facing the sky, and not the street would’ve been better to stay in another floor in a room where you could see the street and with more light.
