Good location for visiting Oslo. Spaciuous family room

We stayed in a spacious room with windows on two sides, which offered plenty of natural light. However, with temperatures reaching 30°C outside and no air conditioning—only ventilation—it became quite warm and uncomfortable inside. During breakfast, we felt that the staff were a bit too present. While we understand and appreciate the importance of keeping the area tidy, the frequent clearing of plates and cups from our table while we were still eating felt somewhat intrusive. It would be more comfortable if the tables were cleaned after guests have finished their meals, rather than during.

Location is great in summer or if you work nearby. Otherwise, it is pretty remote from Oslo city center. However, there are regular buses, albeit in most cases you would like to combine with train from Lysaker or Skøyen. Gym is OK+ I liked nearby the shore with few people. Great in summertime

Very far from bars/pubs and good restaurants. Not a place to stay during winter months. Although breakfast is very good, for dinner I would recommend the nearby Sjøflyhavna Kro, rather than the hotel restaurant. Sjøflyhavna kro is just an average burger/ salad place, but still better... Nice outdoor area in summer months. Alternatives are Maya`s (italian) and a Suchi chain restaurant at the nearby mall. Both are average +.

We came back for the third time in two years and the reasons being, nice location, excellent breakfast and really polite staff. Unfortunately we were given a room seeing the construction site nearby which did not affect our stay. Overall a nice experience

For the kids a sofa bed was provided that had a really uncomfortable mattress which we couldn’t ask to be changed due to our late arrival. Next morning this was settled but still the first night was really difficult for them. Also the rooms seem to be a bit neglected as regards maintenance. For example our bathroom door handle was about to fall off….

The most amazing breakfast buffet—so many options including vegan and vegetarian and gluten friendly; complementary bike rental with bike paths to Oslo (45 minutes) and Norse museum (30 minutes); easy bus route from/to city center; beautiful outdoor seating and patio area with water view; well-equipped workout room; lovely lobby with foosball and shuffleboard; welcome mocktail for the kiddos; room window that open; eco/green with refillable toiletries and key activated room power; good food at the restaurant for dinner; did I mention breakfast?! Amazing.

Something went wrong with booking.com and they couldn’t find our reservation and we had to wait while they sorted it out. The front desk staff had no idea about bicycles and perhaps thinks they’re all the same so she told us not to worry about getting one but when we went to check them out they only had four left and barely fit us. She also didn’t have a wrench to adjust the seat that claimed they were fixed (that’s not true its a bike seat) so we had to bike to the hardware store and buy our own Allen wrench to lower the seats. The room we had the bathroom light had a sensor which caused the light to turn on automatically even in the middle of the night which was incredibly annoying and should be switch operated or have a night light. The daycare was a bit loud early am.

Hotel fells like a new, it's really comfortable to reach it by the car. To have a walk in downtown we used a bus to get there, because of the parking problem at the city center. Breakfast is gorgeous and variable, so we have a great impression about hotel. Stuff was also really friendly and helpful.

Problem of all Scandics, that you have to fill in the paper before check-in. I dont now why, maybe they dont have one data base. But it's really uncomfortable, especially after a long trip, when you have a lot of stuff with you and two small kids. So at the moment of filling this form you have an desire to choose another hotel next time.

It's a really nice location by coast with a shopping centre a short walk for any needs. Breakfast was solid and the room was clean and comfortable. It's not close to the city centre but I knew that going in so consider that depending on how you need to get around. Staff were excellent and went out of their way to call the company that manages parking when the machine was down to sort that out for me.

Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Hotel situated outside of Oslo city, which is easily accessible by frequent buses (20-30min ride). Underground parking option available at discount prices (ticket valid 24 hours). Don't forget to register your car licence plate upon arrival. Note that max vehicle height is 2.2m. There are some quiet beaches 5min walk from the hotel.

This is one of the best family rooms we had so far. Very spacious, it had 2 TVs! nice view, and large bathroom. Parking just below the hotel. Very nice staff. Extremely good breakfast. There is a microwave in the room!

There is a bed sofa, but its not very comfortable, but we didn't need it anyway, because there are four comfortable beds apart from that bed sofa.

Upgrade to family room which allowed space and independence with fridge, sink and watercooker. Breakfast buffet and restaurant The location on the waterfront with a closeby nice nature reserve. Plenty facilities

It is a huge hotel focussing on conference (my guess) which could be quite busy. A few maintenance perks in the room (window mechanism broken, socket not working) Apparently no tidying of family rooms, fresh towels were provided though. It is quite far out from Oslo centre. The bus stops close by but the ride takes 30 min.

The hotel was modern and the room was well equipped. Secure underground parking had lots of spaces. The breakfast offered a great selection and their gluten free offering was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful when needed.

The automatic carpark didn’t pick up our number plate which caused a little extra stress and delay.
