Great location in the city. Ideal for anyone who wants to visit Limerick to tour the city and pubs. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room.
No fridge in the room. The hotel and the adjoining pub are part of the same enterprise. My room was directly above the outside area of the pub, which plays very loud music. During weekdays, the pub closes at 11 pm so the noise was not a big problem. The pub is open till 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night was very loud and impossible to sleep before the pub closed, I had to leave the hotel at 5:30 am. The hotel did warn about this in emails after booking and the friendly staff provided earplugs. While it's highly recommended for people intending to go out at night, my room was not ideal for a business trip because of the noise. The window fastener was a little loose so that might have contributed to the issue. This might be less of an issue with other rooms.

The location was great- very close walking distance to King John’s Castle, The Milk Market and the department stores and other shops. Also close to bus stop for Shannon Airport. Everyone was so welcoming- breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I love how housekeeping left fresh towels and toilet paper at our door on days when we did not have our room serviced. Thank you so much for a great stay!!
There was no AC in our room but the hotel provided a fan and it was really great and kept the room cool. Also no lift to our floor but the hotel staff brought up our luggage. All of the staff was great!

We stayed in the 4-person family room, which was spacious and clean. The beds were fairly comfortable and the bathroom and furnishings were on the newer side. The staff were friendly and you have to be buzzed in, so the hotel feels quite secure. We opted to add breakfast, and it was pretty good - offering hot to-order items (e.g., eggs and toast, eggs benedict, full Irish breakfast, etc.) along with a continental breakfast. The location is pretty central, so we had an easy time walking to King John's Castle and restaurants across the Shannon River. The hotel is on a pedestrian-only street, so it was fairly quiet at night aside from hearing the birds in the morning. We would stay here again if we were to return to Limerick.
The room's lighting, especially in the bathroom, is minimal and our vanity light in the bathroom was partially burned out.

Had a two night stay in The Townhouse. It's in the city centre and close to all the shops, bars and restaurants of the city. It's not far from the Shannon which is lovely to stroll by. I had a cooked breakfast and it was very good. There was also cereal and pastries but no fruit or yogurt which I would usually have. The staff at breakfast time were friendly and attentive.
The rooms are very small and this can get annoying when sharing with another person. It was extremely warm on the nights we stayed but there was no air conditioning. We opened the window to cool the room down but the seagulls outside were noisy

Excellent location: In door car park with security office right beside hotel. €10.00 over night, was very reasonable. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Our room was at the back where it was quiet. Beds comfortable. Food was top class, with breakfast served at your table. For anyone who likes browsing around markets, “Milk Market” with its endless array of stalls, fabulous fresh produce, crafts, baking, etc..is just a few minutes walk from Hotel. For anyone who likes an excellent Pint of Guinness, we went to “Flannery’s” on Denmark st. A short walk from hotel
No complaints at all.

The hotel served a very good full Irish breakfast. The room was a nicely furnished ensuite and gave the possibility of a good night's sleep, with not too far to drive into Limerick after picking up my hire car after arriving at Shannon Airport. Reception is manned at all times, so no problem with a later check-in after a long day travelling to Ireland.
It was not the fault of the hotel that the directions for reaching it online were slightly complicated by roadworks in the approaching street. It may help travellers to know that Limerick has disc parking on the street, which is useful if late arriving as carparks literally close for the night here, including the one near the hotel. Personally for me the noise in the city centre did not seem excessive, although this was just a weeknight, and some travellers might want a quieter neighbourhood.

The Old Quarter Townhouse is in a great location for walkable access to bus and train transit (station newly remodeled), shopping (Tesco for room snacks), restaurants, pubs and historic sites (King James Castle, St. Mary's Church, Milk Market, Hunt Museum). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, bathroom and bed were a good amount of space and good storage and counter space. We stayed over St. Patrick's Day weekend and the Old Quarter bar and streets were a little noisy, not bad; we too shared in all the fun!! We did a bus trip to The Ring of Kerry and our pick up site was just around the corner from the Townhouse at Arthers Quay, as was the St. Patty's day parade. Limerick was a really nice surprise, not really a tourist town.
Shower was small. Carpet was a bit dirty.

The check-in/check-out staff were helpful. I was able to get a one-night booking here, which some places don't allow. I found it easy to get to most of the things I wanted to see from this accommodation.
I did decide to have breakfast in the hotel and felt like they had many more options for cooked breakfasts, with less choice for a continental breakfast like I wanted - but that was my issue for needing to leave early. I also found it slightly odd that as a single traveller I was put in a room with 3 single beds, but assume they must have run out of smaller rooms.

Great location. Relatively easy to train and bus station. I did a day trip to Galway. Amenities are very nice. The staff is very polite. You must be buzzed to enter, so there is always a nice smile coming and going. Nice streets to walk to pubs and cafes.
TIS the SEASON!!!!!! Well I arrived the Friday before Christmas so most people were enjoying the ramp up to Christmas. In other words, P A R T Y...... My room was located over the hotel pub, overlooked the parking lot for St Michael's church ( I wasn't late for mass) and just outside a popular pub. Needless to say it was loud until after 1am. So apart from any grand celebration or Irish national holiday (March 17th comes to mind), I would love to stay again. But maybe ask for a room facing The Milk Market. Happy Christmas. P. S. If you want a true taste of an Irish pub give Gerry Powers a try. I met the manager (Thomas)on my bus trip back from Galway. Souls of Limerick I tell ya.
