The room was lovely, great size, with two chairs to be able to sit on, rather than the bed. Nice decor. The garden was spacious and plenty of seats to enable you to sit outside. There was also plants outside of the room in the courtyard. There was a coffee machine in the room, along with Yorkshire tea and a kettle. The breakfast was really good and a decent selection of food, my husband enjoyed the award winning sausages. The staff were very helpful. There was parking onsite, which enabled us to walk into town, we used the car to drive to Stonehenge and the old Sarum, which was not that far away. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Possibly could have had an option for mushrooms and veggie sausages with the hot breakfast, as I don't eat meat but for a meat eater a great selection.

A large well appointed and comfortable room. We did not have breakfast for our two day stay so can't comment on this. Room quiet. Location half an hour walk from centre of town was ideal for us

More a comment - when I removed the toilet brush on our first night, there was so much water in the container that some came up with the brush and spilled over the floor. Please make sure the water is emptied before guests arrive. The curtains when drawn allow quite a lot of light into the room so interrupted night sleep earlier than I wished. Perhaps something to consider next time the room is redecorated etc .

We received the warmest, friendliest welcome you could wish for from our hosts which made a very good start to our stay. The garden area was a delightful surprise outside our room and although we arrived a bit early, everything was ready. The room was very clean and attractively presented with comfortable beds. We passed the lovely breakfast room on our way in, which was very inviting. The variety on offer for breakfast could not be faulted and even the toasting machine worked faster and better than many top hotels we've visited! Our full English breakfast had been sourced from very tasty local farm produce which was another plus. An excellent value for money stay. Salisbury has quite a lot to offer for a short stay (see photos) plus a good quality market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The front door and bathroom doors were a bit awkward to open and close.

We thought we would be driving in but instead we walked from the train. It was a long walk but was easy to find. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to stash our bags and walk to town for sightseeing and some time at the cathedral (which was excellent). The room was nicely decorated, spacious enough to sprawl a bit, and clean. We had a very nice breakfast the next morning. Overall, we had a very nice stay and recommend Cricket Field House.

The WiFi only worked for 10 seconds at a time. We were on vacation but had pivoted in our planning and would have really found value in consistently working WiFi.

Great location being close to Salisbury centre but it was very quiet at the same time, we were a bit worried at first with the front of the property being on the main road but the rooms are tucked away round the back. The staff were very chatty and helpful and even gave us a free upgrade without us even asking for one. They were also very accommodating in letting us have breakfast there after a last minute change of plan by us.

The noise made by some ignorant people staying in a room near us that woke us up at 5:30 in the morning shouting across the room to each other and clomping up and down the stairs to their car and back. Yes I know they had 2 small children with them but we have children and we would never have let them run around the room and up and down the stairs at that time in the morning. Yes I also know it’s not the hotel’s fault but I got the impression they were related somehow, maybe it was where they had parked their car away from everyone else’s.

Could not fault any part of our stay at cricket fields, breakfast room is light and airy with a delicious choice of hot and cold food with very efficient and friendly service, our room was really spacious with an enormous double bed lovely en suite with walk in shower and our room opened directly onto the very well maintained garden and although it is quite near to a main road we found it a very tranquil location, we also found a really beautiful country walk into Salisbury, we can highly recommend cricketfield house for a nice relaxing break. Lovely quiet room overlooking the garden. Comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. They agreed to open the dining room early for breakfast as I had to leave at 8am to take part in a charity walk. Perfectly poached eggs and good quality Greek yogurt, set me up for the day 👌🏼

There was some dust and cobwebs in the room and marks in the ceiling where someone had squashed spiders, which my partner removed. Outside there was a sunny courtyard with a bench and planters full of cigarette buts and no plants which would have put me off using it if I'd been staying longer than one night.

Location was perfect as we were going to an event next door. The apartment was cosy, clean and had everything we needed for our short stay including parking. The staff, Jason and Helen were friendly, accommodating and provided help immediately when needed. We didn’t have breakfast but our friends did which they said was amazing so if we come again we will stay there and have the FULL experience….Thank you for a lovely stay, your accommodation was 10/10

The shower cubical was a little worn but that didn’t stop us from having a lovely hot shower. Living room remote didn’t work, was given a replacement and that didn’t work either but it was better than the first one.

We had the 2 x bedroom "apartment" above the car garages (not used as garages). Was absolutely perfect for us and plenty of room with a little kitchenette etc. The hot breakfast was simple, but brilliant. You could tell they used local good quality products e.g. great eggs, bacon and sausages. The continental options were plenty and again, more that enough. Staff were lovely and accomodating. The location is somewhat on the edge of the town, but a few mins drive to get in and wasn't an issue. Tesco Express only a couple mins walk down the road helped with some last minute grocery items we needs.

The only couple of negatives I would mention was the room wasn't 100% cleaned to perfection e.g. a few cobwebs around the lights and some basic maintenance items need attention e.g. a few small chips / dents in walls and some wholes in bathroom tiles poorly patched. Really didn't impact our quality of stay though. Just some friendly feedback.

Lovely hosts. We were very happy with the choices of breakfast, toast, pancakes, fresh fruit and locally sourced ingredients for fried and scrambled breakfasts. Various tea options and coffee. The room was spacious with a comfortable super king size bed. Dressing table with a stool and mirror was were handy. A corner kitchenette was very well equipped. Towels and dressing gowns, miniature toiletries were provided. The complex was quiet and the large patio doors overlooked a beautiful garden. We had our own outdoor entrance.

The shower door was more of a partition wall, fixed to the bath and made it awkward getting in and out and helping to shower the child.
