Our room was wonderful. We had 2 rooms and a pull out for one child. Plenty of space. The balcony led to a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There were even cats everywhere, which my kids loved! There is space for exercise and kids to play basketball and sports, which was great while mom and dad had a couples massage in the spa. The hotel/resort is located outside of Dubrovnik, about 20 minutes away, which is convenient and quieter than staying in the city proper. We went at the end of the off-season, so the resort felt empty and quiet, which was lovely. I imagine in the summer it might be quite busy. The food was delicious at the restaurants as well!

Just as an FYI, there is no laundry here unless you use the service provided, (there are some reviews that say there is a self-service laundry facility, which is not true, we even asked about it). If you are willing to pay for laundry, I'm sure it's fine, but we were not.

I recently stayed at a stunning Sun Garden hotel in Dubrovnik, and overall, it was an exceptional experience. The suite was incredibly spacious, featuring a huge room and a private balcony with breathtaking views—truly a highlight of the stay. Waking up to such a panorama made every morning special. The rooftop breakfast was another standout. The personal service made it feel intimate and indulgent, and a special shout-out goes to Sanja Gjivovic, who served us both at the rooftop and the regular buffet. Sanja’s warm, attentive, and thoughtful service truly made our stay unforgettable. The variety and quality of the buffet were also impressive, offering plenty of options to suit all tastes. Visiting during the quieter end-of-season period added to the tranquility of the stay. It felt peaceful and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the hotel's location is a bit far from the town center. While this ensures a serene environment, it does mean that dining options nearby are limited. Guests will need a car or rely on Uber/taxis to explore the town center for shopping and restaurants. Despite this minor inconvenience, I had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for luxury, incredible views, and outstanding service. With team members like Sanja Gjivovic making your stay warm and memorable, it’s the perfect retreat for a peaceful getaway!

The facilities are great as well as the staff and it is ultra clean!

I did not like the location at all, it says "Dubrovnik" and it shows up when you select Dubrovnik as your destination, but Sun gardens is NOT even near Dubrovnik, it is actually located in Orašac, a 40 min car ride from Dubrovnik. To be honest Booking is riping off people for showing this facility on searches for "Dubrovnik"

Location, nature

The breakfast was good, but after the 10th day of staying you just can’t eat the same food. I think every day must be something special, you can’t serve exactly the same food everyday, please, make varieties. Another thing I expected bigger apartment and more modern style

We liked the the outstanding quality of the personnel, good breakfast, tranquillity of the surrounding, pools, sport center facilities and etc. The beds are very comfortable and the room was as we expected.

Everything about the resort was amazing. The Adriatic Sea, the property itself, the sports center, and the rooms were all exceptional. The breakfast was delicious, and the beach, complete with complimentary sunbeds, was a highlight. The entertainment and service were top-notch. While the property features several excellent restaurants, they are a bit pricey. However, the convenient on-site grocery store gives you some additional options. Uber to Dubrovnik is around 20 euros and will take you about 20min.

The Sun garden resort met all expectations that we had and more than that. You can spend the whole day at the resort without getting bore. If you want to relax and enjoy Dubrovnik weather by not going to Old town, Sun garden is the best place. But if you want to go old town frequently than Sun garden isnt place. It's 20 mins far from old town.

There is nothing to dislike. Everything was top notch. From staff to room to swimming pool to sports centre.

I recently stayed here and couldn’t be more pleased. The breakfast was a real highlight , a wide variety of options to suit every taste, from fresh fruit and pastries to hot cooked dishes. Enjoying it with a stunning panoramic view made the experience even better. The staff were amazing throughout our stay, always polite, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. From check-in to check-out, they made us feel welcome and well looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. All in all, a fantastic holiday experience. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike.

The resort is well-placed in front of the sea extended up in a low hill. It is spacious and although it is crowded, you do not feel at all. We stayed in two classical rooms that were also spacious and had nice sea view. There are plenty of facilities that you can use for free (outdoor pools, thermal zone, beach, some sport activities) and a plethora of other paid facilities. All of them have good quality. The staff is very kind and willing to help.

Some glimps of renovation are needed. It would be a good idea to include another restaurant for someonoe with a lower budget.

The facilities, the beach, the breakfast buffet, the staff very kind and friendly, always willing to assist us. Really nice resort and excellent service. The location is a bit far from the old town, however in high season, we appreciated to be far from the crowds. There is a hotel shuttle to old town that costs 8 euro per person - very convenient.

Being a 5-star resort you might spend all the day in the hotel, so take into consideration that you will spend a lot of money on food and beverages - all very pricey. A regular cocktail can cost 17 euros + tips. We booked a room with sea view and we were at 2nd floor so the view was not really so good - you might want to save a bit of money booking a regular room and enjoying the sea view from the pools or the beach. The Spa is nice and clean, however, 2 out of 3 saunas and 1 out of 2 steam rooms were out of service.
