The Staff were the main reason for a possitive review, all were friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. I'd stay again because of the staff. Staying at half board the evening meal is a buffet which was not to our likeing but you have £25/PP you can use off the main menu which is great. Again the staff are amazing and made the stay.
The rooms were dated and only had 2 usable plugs for charging phones etc as they use a custom plug for lights and by the bed, see photo. The spa facilities for men were dirty and with lockers that were damaged. When asked the staff said as females they couldn't clean the male area as it was always in use. My wife confirmed the female area was fine.

The beds were awful!!

Both my partner and I ( ages 86 and 80 ) stayed at the hotel whilst attending an Andre Rieu concert. The hotel and staff were excellent as was the dining. The grounds of the Forest of Arden hotel were magnificent, a real breath of the country. We travelled by rail and used taxis to and from the venue with the average fare for four journeys being £14:50.
I hesitate in saying this but, upon arrival we were met by a gentleman who I took to be the head receptionist who gave the distinct impression of superiority . That was the ONLY downpoint and one which could be easily rectified by a further course in guest diplomacy. Would I return to the Forest of Arden hotel ? I most certainly would.

I liked everything from the entry all the way to staying in the room. Everything as beautiful. We were unlucky not to have a spa treatment because we didn’t know we had to book in advance as it was our first time visiting.
Carpet a bit old could do to a change of flooring, also the outside of the hotel needs more attention as there is cracks on walls and the windows are old also. The restaurant employees should be able to know what is included in the half Broad and what’s not included because we were something to later on be told something else. To add on the receptionist should also explain how the hotel works and what we are allowed to do and not do or even have or not

Good, fresh selection at breakfast. I would have liked something in the bathroom to put my toothbrush in and 2 face towels would have been good. There weren’t any flannels. Fortunately I took some just in case. The bed was comfortable so were the pillows. Unfortunately the safe didn’t work in our room but as we were only staying one night we didn’t bother reporting it. The room was a good size so didn’t feel claustrophobic.
I think there could have been a couple of designated smoking areas. As a smoker I don’t like dropping my cigarette ends just anywhere. I always keep away from main entrance doors but there were no bins anywhere to put cigarette ends in.

Very clean room with great views of the golf course. Comfy bed, and spotless bathroom, friendly staff. The bar was really nice with a relaxing outside area. Breakfast choice was good.
Restaurant a little chaotic. We were on a package and were given a set menu at dinner which was unexpected, we thought we could choose from the main menu, however the set menu food was fine. Staff didn't seem to have allocated tables and it was hit and miss if you waited ages to be served or got served quickly. Restaurant was very busy at breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent a great and varied choice available. Excellent and gold stars for having “Gluten free” alternatives available Accommodate was very comfortable Location was excellent- travel to the NEC couldn’t have been easier.
The Hotel is excellent but if there was one thing that could possibly be improved on it is that the provision of a very small refrigerator would have been the icing on the cake. Having to keep medication at a cool temperature would have made our stay even better. However it won’t stop us returning to stay again and in fact we have booked a return visit in November.

Great time for myself , friend and our 3 daughters 15, 11 and 7 Relaxed uses spa pool as soon as arrived and our room was ready at 3pm and they put us in joining rooms. Note children under 16 can not use hot tub. Which the older girls were a little disappointed about but the pool was warm and shallow so we relaxed and played about. Dinner we made reservations when arrived was lovely, although kids menu good value for money. Main menu was expensive for what the food was although we all enjoyed. It would benefit from having pizzas on there as the older girls ordered from the childrens menu because the menu was complicated. The grown ups loved the food pulled pork burger and Angus cheese lovely. The staff were super attentive and helped us enjoy our stay. We were able to get towels from the leisure desk which was great. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious we all enjoyed our slumber party. Could do with a little fridge in the rooms to keep drinks cool. But all in all a fantastic stay good value for money

The staff were really friendly and welcoming and my time there was very relaxing. I wanted somewhere with a pool, a spa treatment was a bonus. Both the pool changing area and treatment rooms were modern and well kept. Breakfast was brilliant.
Parts of it were dated and a little tired looking. The bed and pillows were too soft for me but that’s a personal preference. The half board dinner menu was very limited so I’d opt to dine in the other eateries next time. My request to have my dessert brought to my room (I was too full to eat it all there and then) seem to absolutely baffle the staff and there was lots of going back and forth until they decided it could be done. In hindsight I should have just asked them to not bring the food out so quick!

The views are amazing going in to the property. The bed is really comfy and the room is spacious and clean. The swimming pool water is a bit cold but tolerable. I really enjoyed the full English breakfast and they gave us a lot of food choices. The best part of it is we got it at a very low price. We’ll definitely come back.
I hope guests can walk on the forest trails because apparently it’s only exclusive for the golfers (which one of them shouted at us because we didn’t know that it’s off limits to non-golfers lol). The food prices in the two restaurants are expensive so we have to go out of the property to look for food (Coventry is just 20mins away so not a problem).
