The location was amazing The staff were friendly and very accomodating and went out of their way to help on all occasions The main staff member who checked us in was amazing, so helpful and I could tell she was a one man show majority of the time, Sarah I believe her name was, despite being run off her feet she was lovely, never bothered that she was crazy busy and always had a smile on her face Also had the pleasure of meeting another lady named ivy who also was lovely, I even left some of my belongings there and went back and they were so accomodating to help me find, 110% will be back

Location and service

The location was perfect. Waking up every morning to a panoramic view of the beach. We sat outside on the patio and soaked up the sunshine and watched the sunrise. The facilities were beautifully maintained and enjoyed. The pool was a little too cold for us but we took advantage of the weather and hired bikes and ventured out on a casual bike ride and a long stroll along the beach in the afternoon. The decor of the apartment was stunning. Very clean, spacious and stylishly decorated.

The only thing lacking was a larger breakfast menu and only offering pizzas. However, there are plenty of places to eat locally.

It’s so pretty, very Miami Beach style. Comfortable, toiletries were amazing, if you forget anything don’t worry it’s all there. Mini fridge is stocked up. Free bottles of water. Liam was so lovely. Really wish the weather was better to utilise the pool and front hammocks.

Mini fridge stocked up so much leaves no room for your own stuff. Minibar is quite pricey. Planes are very loud. Ana messaging in the morning before check out time regarding car being gone when it wasn’t. Some confusion around rego.

This adorable hotel will steal a little piece of your heart. The staff are amazing, the room is like a little sanctuary and the sun loungers and hammocks overlooking the ocean are bliss. The spicy marg at happy hour was perfection.

The location is fab in terms of direct access to the beach but it does get loud with the airport so close. As long as you're happy to go to sleep after 9:30pm and wake up before 6am they won't disturb your sleep. There isn't much in close proximity in terms of food/bars but they do offer some food and happy hour drinks so just come prepared to drive somewhere/get a delivery.

Very friendly and lovely staff and the outstanding service provided by them. From check-in time to check-out time and all the time in between, their undivided guest attention and excellent customer service go above and beyond. Excellent location. Only 20 mins walk, 2 mins by car or public transport to/from Gold Coast Airport. Public transport is literally outside the resort. Bus (700 - Coolangatta/Tweed Heads & 770 - Surfers Paradise). You literally step straight onto the beach from your doorstep. Very spotlessly clean and spacious bedroom & bathroom and tidy kitchenette and cooktop. Big screen TV (50 inches) to watch your favourite TV channels or movies. You can enjoy meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and/or quench your thirst at their beautiful boutique restaurant & bar. You can also ask for room service by their friendly and wonderful staff. To rid the aches and pains from your body, their magnesium swimming pool has all the answers. Even better, you can just leisurely catch tan whilst sipping cocktails around the pool before you exit the resort to board the plane to your next destination. Resort WiFi not working due to Network down.

Super cute, retro motel, nicely re-done. Right on a quiet stretch of beach. Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. 5 min drive to kirra (or 30min walk along beach), 10 min to Coolangatta. Generally just chill friendly vibes.

Yes it's near the airport, so there are planes going over quite close. But, it's not that many and they don't fly really late or early. Yes, there aren't much cafes/restaurants within easy walking distance, but there is a bar and you can get pizzas at the hotel, kirra is 5mi drive away. The small rooms without balcony/lounger probably aren't worth the $$.

Tessa is a beautiful boutique hotel right in the beach. We Love it and return every year.

I mistakenly booked an extra room for our stay. I did tell the staff this was an error but they were unable to give me a refund or even a credit. They suggested I send an email to the owner, which I did explaining but I did not even get a reply. This is very disappointing as we do return every year to attend family Christmas gatherings. A shame we did not get the courtesy of a reply so we will not stay there again.

Loved the different spaces you could relax in. The lounge in front of my room, the pool and the hammocks/loungers at the back overlooking the beach. Didn’t really hear other guests too much even though it was full.

The fridge was so small that I couldn’t fit any leftovers in. This meant I couldn’t try out the cheese platter or pizza. The glassware in my room wasn’t cleaned/replaced when the room was serviced. It also didn’t feel like it was vacuumed after the service.

The location is great if you prefer to be away from the busier part of the gold coast. The beach at Balinga is quite. There is free bike hire at Tessa's so you can enjoy a ride along the beach path. There is a magnesium pool to enjoy.

A few minor things.. Supplies of complementary supplies were not renewed. There was 2 flights of stairs to climb to get to our room which is fine but difficult with heavy luggage to carry.

Great place to stay, clean and tidy with all that you need.

The reception staff member was lovely although for a place that advertises as having a cocktail bar i suggest staff trained to do so. Arrived on a Friday afternoon looking foward to ordering a cocktail or two but when I tried to order a drink was advised to get a premix out the fridge that then took nearly 10 mins to be round up and paid for 3 cans - Quite disappointing.
