A beautiful hotel in the middle of the countryside, the staff were amazing, very polite and helpful especially chein, who took the time and effort to explain about attractions nearby. Breakfast was good, our rooms were 2 connected rooms, they were very spacious and clean. Parking is free and the city center is 15min by car.The pool is heated and amazing, and beautiful landsape at the back and front of the hotel.I loved the interiors and the unique taste in furniture. We were curious about the history of the hotel, and what we found out was amazing.We loved it and extended another night 😊.

Old style hotel located a bit outside the centre of Hønefoss. Quite charming decoration, and it is well maintained. Comfortable beds and the bedroom had a good size. Great breakfast! Very kind staff, and the outdoor pool, despite being small, is a great addition.

The room was too warm, and as it is normal in Norway, there is no AC. This is due to the unusual warmth this summer. At least the windows can be opened widely and that certainly helps.

Great value for money. Large family room. Comfortable beds. Outdoor pool available. Excellent and tasty breakfast. Free parking in front of the hotel. Friendly staff. A great place to continue further north in Norway with a stop in Oslo.

No air conditioning in the room in the summer months. But this is just minor detail.

Beautiful hotel with a soul and long history. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable as well. Breakfast was delicious, many options to choose from. I was very pleasantly surprised that there was a little sauna in swimming pool shower room. Absolutely recommended.

Swimming pool could have been a bit warmer. Otherwise great.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The view was superb. Dinner was very good-- something I did not expect from a hotel in Norway ;). The hotel also offers free charging of electric cars at their parking.

The hotel is a bit outdated. The receptionist said breakfast is served until 10:30, but suddenly the last serving time was 9:30, which caught me off guard, so I had to finish my meal in 10 minutes.

They allow pets, it’s clean, breakfast was lovely and included in the price, staff was friendly and professional

The bed was way too soft for me so I didn’t sleep well. But I guess it’s a different for everyone.

No air conditioning - I understand why as it’s an older hotel but it was very warm during our stay. At least a fan was provided though.

No bath robe,no slippers,no hair conditioner. No sauna.( it looks that it’s underconsteuction. This hotel need normal sauna with view outside and cold bath afterwards;) Also for dinner need more food because for pregnant ladies and kids they can make only burger and of course with preordered.

It is a beautiful location. The hotel is dated, but it has a lot of atmosphere. It has an extensive and tasty breakfast.

The rooms and bathrooms could use a makeover. We found the carpet particularly unhygienic.
