Outstanding breakfast, fantastic view, good metro connection to Oslo centre, spotlessly clean, attractive communal areas.
We had a queen-sized room and while the size of the room itself didn’t bother us, the bathroom was quite impractical: the sink was so close to the toilet that it was difficult to turn around.

The views were amazing, quite far from the center of Oslo but easy to get there! The staff was very nice and you had gym, sauna and swimming pool... And lots of free fruits, coffee and tea through the hotel. There was a large breakfast with many options of fruit, cereals, bread, ham, gaufres and salty options. Also, all the pastries that you can buy through the hotel are made directly there, and they are very good.
There was not air conditioning and the balconies were all connected so you could not leave the window fully open during the night or when you leave. But, if you don't come in summer you won't have this problem since they have heating.

Incredibly impressive location on a hill above the city with an epic view at it and the fjord with islets. Spacious and bright interiors, including the room itself. Friendly staff. Free tee and coffee at night. Convenient garage, unfortunately paid separately. Comfortable beds.
Breakfasts could be more diversified. The choice of dishes in the restaurant was very modest. There was no electric socket close to the desk, the use of the laptop required relocation of the desk where sitting only on the bed was possible. The room was poorly lit. It was no fault of the hotel but metro was shut off for maintenance exactly for the summer time which made the connection with the city centre much less convenient.

The location was definitely one of the highlights. The views from the hotel were wonderful and if we stayed longer, we’d definitely go hiking as well. The breakfast was an amazing addition with plenty of options to choose from. We were also happy with the possibility to use the sauna which was available daily from 15:00-21:00. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and I hope to come back someday.
We were a bit unlucky that the metro wasn’t running during our stay but the replacement buses went often enough even though they were slightly less comfortable.

I was amazed that we could get there easily by public transport! It would be impossible in the UK, I'm sure. The walk from the station is uphill, so infirm or disabled people may struggle . Not sure if that is something the hotel might help with if requested. We were quite early arriving but the staff were helpful and accommodating, and our room was ready. Even though they were refurbishing and we were qarned about noise in the morning, it wasn't noticeable! The rooms were a good size. The bed and pillows comfy. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was lovely. Bring your own conditioner. Bedroom view was lovely. And then the views from the breakfast room, dining room and balconies were absolutely stunning! I wish we had stayed longer and would love to go back! We went on some beautiful hikes in the area, as the location is amazing. Hills, lakes, woods, everywhere you go. Walks were well signposted. There were blankets outside on the balcony and comfy cushions for the chairs. There were lots of complementary teas and a coffee machine in the communal areas to help yourself at all times of day and night. Lots of really good, spacious communal areas. A nice undercover picnic table outside. A swimming pool, which we didn't use because we were out walking for a long time. On the grounds, we discovered a sweet little outdoor cupboard with trinkets and toys and a book about peace to write in, so we left our mark. Love the green roof!
A blast of hot air as you come through the main entrance is probably welcome in the winter but completely unnecessary when it's warm. It was 22°C both days we were there! Also, they had a (gas?) fire burning in a communal area indoors, which we thought was lovely touch at night, but we discovered it was burning all day too in the 22°C heat. Bit of a waste of energy. They could make themselves some savings turning that off in the day, I'm sure! The waiter at dinner could relax a little. He seemed a bit stiff. He didn't seem to know we had a booking but we did. He also seemed to expect us to know what the set menu was, even thought it didn't actually say on the menu itself, just the prices! He did seem to chill out a but later on. He wasn't rude, just a little bit awkward.

- location of the hotel and the view were exceptional. I can only imagine how nice is there when it is summer or winter ski season - although 8 km from Oslo center, it is very good connected with train line T1
- very poor wifi signal in our room; at the end we used our eSIM signal - you can not adopt the temperature in the rooms and bytheway, our room was pretty cold (inconvinient if you want take a shower) - no mini bar (or fridge) in the rooms - TV with total 10- 12 channels and all of them are in norvegian language - in this period of time (November), the hotel and surroundings have not too much too offer and therefore I find it a bit overpriced in October and November

Excellent option for a couple of days in Oslo, we were absoultely satisfied with everything. OK, it is not so close to the city center, but the trip with T1 on the hill is a sight itself, it was very nice to start and finish the day with sitting on the metro and see the view around. The room was not too big but very comfortable, we could see Oslo fjord from our bed, the bathroom was spotless, the breakfast delicious with many options. The sauna and the pool was great to relax after a long sightseeing day. In addition the price is reasonable in Scandinavian standards. Highly recommended, we will surely return.

I really liked the view from above 500m down into the bay. Breakfast was super, and dinner taken at the small restaurant was delicious. The room equipment offered everything I needed, heating perfect, no bad smell. Funny detail : some joker had turned my "make up the room" sign, so that it said "don't disturb" When I came back in the evening the room was of course not made. No hassle, the crew was just perfectly amiable.
I did not like the asthmatic car battery loading stations on the parking but there, the hotel is not to blame because the chargers belong to an independent company. Furthermore I was not happy with the fact that as an hotel client I had to pay for an open, unguarded parking.

Myself, and my son have just arrived home from a 4 night stay here. This hotel is a real gem tucked away high above the city. With this you are guaranteed an amazing view from the restaurants and lounges at any time of the day. We were lucky enough to have a room on the ground floor with a view through the forest to the city below. This hotel is very modern but cosy, super clean and had the comfiest beds ever in our twin room. The breakfast choice was vast everyday with good coffee!! We had dinner here on 2 nights and this was also delicious. It was a real treat to come back to the hotel after long days of sightseeing, sledging and enjoying all of the things Oslo has to offer after a short ride on the T ban. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. This will be my 1st choice when I return to Oslo.
A kettle in the room would be perfect, but there are hot drink facilities throughout the reception area.

I visited this hotel this February, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with breathtaking panoramic views of Oslo's fjords. One of the great advantages is its location. It’s very close to the Oslo Skimore ski resort, only a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride away, making it perfect for ski enthusiasts. Additionally, the hotel is well connected to Oslo city center via the T1 metro line, allowing for easy exploration of the capital. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide selection of fresh and high-quality options. The service was impeccable, truly worthy of a luxury hotel. The wellness facilities were excellent. The sauna was spotless, offering a relaxing experience after a day out in the cold. The gym and stretching/yoga room were also well-equipped, catering to fitness lovers. The hotel also provides a ski storage room, making it convenient to safely store your equipment after a day on the slopes. As for dining, Bistrot 501 was a great surprise—excellent food and a cozy atmosphere. Our room had a beautiful view of the snowy landscape and the city, which was magical. However, the rooms are not as spacious as they might seem in pictures. That said, it wasn’t a big issue since the real charm of the hotel lies in its beautifully maintained common areas. There are tea/coffee machines, fresh fruit, and water fountains with both still and sparkling water available for guests, which is a great touch. There's also a large terrace with stunning views, as well as cozy lounges with fireplaces, creating a charming and authentically Scandinavian atmosphere. Overall, I really loved my stay here. The ambiance, service, and location make it a perfect place for a winter getaway! Would definitely come back!
