Our compliments to the breakfast staff! They work extremely hard and were always professional, aware, and helpful. Particularly enjoyed the yogurts, fruits, herring, breads, many hot selections and coffee machine with great choices! Front desk staff was always kind, professional and reliable. They handle requests from diverse personalities and cultures with ease. Terrific recommendations as well! Our room was quite large by European standards, and it faced a quiet side street. There were a couple tiny issues at the beginning which they quickly resolved.

If one wants a 4 or 5 star high end downtown Oslo hotel with full amenities you'll pay EUR 400-600 a night. This hotel has a few rough edges (cosmetic) and could use a modern renovation. BUT.. for the price point, location, professional staff, breakfast options, room choices and access First Millenium is hard to beat. We were here 2 nights May '25 and fully recommend the property for more casual, relaxed, open travelers.

This is my 4th time to stay at the hotel. It's like the jam between 2 slices of bread, just 2 blocks away from Karljohansgata and 2 blocks from the seafront. I has booked through booking.com for 2 nights but due to a change of plans needed an extra night 2 days layer so rang direct and got 2 extra nights. Can't find any faults, except a room on higher floors is much quieter as my first 2 nights were second floor and it was the Russ student week so they go around the city playing loud music but second 2 nights floor 6 so a big difference and it was Mai 17th so wonderful to be higher up and looking down at the local people walking towards the city centre to the parades.

Needing to check put I didn't like🥲🙌🤣

Very central. There is a good size bath with a shower above. The bathroom is spacious as is the room. We had 3 adults with sufficient room for our luggage. There is a sitting area with two lounge seats. The TV is on a swivel so you can watch from the bed or turn it around and watch from the lounge. The breakfast is good and plentiful.Although in a busy area no outside noise could be heard.

The rooms are dated and the pictures on the wall of Paris (why not Norway?). That is an ambience issue and does not affect the comfort of the visit. The shower is over the bath which may be an issue entering/exiting for some people as it is a high step. If you like a bath it is good.We did have some noise issues with other patrons next door, but they were very loud. Normal visitors could not be heard through the walls.

Comfortable accommodation in a good location with access to train, tram and bus routes (free with the Oslo pass). Many of Oslo attractions ,restaurants, shops are within walking distance from the hotel. Be aware if you purchase an Oslo Pass that many museums are closed on Monday and some attractions are only open Saturday/Sunday in low season . The king business room was spacious and clean and the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

The property is a bit tired with dated decor but everything functions well. The position of the toilet in our room was cramped for tall people and uncomfortable to use.

Stayed here for the second time and no doubts that will stay again. The room was big enough, very comfortable for families. The accommodation was really good for our baby, very nice staff and quiet place. We are very grateful for helpfull girls at the reception. Also we enjoyed the bath and good heating in the room. Very nice pictures on the walls. The location of the hotel is perfect

When we came, we had to wait for one hour, because our room wasn't ready (we came sharp 4pm) and after coming, saw that the room wasn't really clean, especially sink. The breakfast is good but the same every weekdays, we like potatoes but for every day that's too much as a main dish.

Fantastic hotel for exploring the city- only a 10 minute walk from Oslo central train station which meant the airport train was so easy. Fantastic breakfast, cooked perfectly with lots of variety to suit everyone. Our flight was early coming home so we had a breakfast to go which was a nice touch: Sandwich, juice, fruit and yogurt. Due the the hotels central location we used it as a pit stop mid day to fill our water bottles and grab a coffee to go which helped with the budget. Extremely reasonably priced for an expensive city.

The only criticism would be the lack of cleaning- the rooms were clean but weren’t cleaned in our 3 night stay. The carpets on the corridors could do with a clean.

The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hotel’s location was incredibly convenient, with Oslo Central Station less than a 10-minute walk away—perfect for sightseeing and taking short breaks in between. I particularly appreciated the bathtub, which allowed me to enjoy a relaxing soak and unwind after a long day. Additionally, I used a porter service to send my suitcase to my hotel in Bergen. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the long-haired male staff member who assisted me with exceptional kindness and meticulous care, even at 3 AM.

The room access card didn’t work smoothly at times, and I had to insert and remove it multiple times for it to work. It might be good to check on this issue. (I stayed in Room 304)

location and staff both excellent. breakfast also great!! staff helped me with sending a parcel home and also stored my luggage for me which was super nice. really easy to reach from both train and bus stations and close to the main shops and points of interest having a bath tub was also brilliant.

the hallways upstairs really need some tlc - the carpets are stained and need replacing which made it feel a bit scruffy in places. my room had 2 single beds pushed together. Unfortunately the beds were very lightweight- so they moved apart very easily & didn't really work as a double.

We had a loft room with a HUGE terrace that had an amazing view and we spent all our evenings there, enjoying the long summer days and the morning sun. The location is excellent, so close to everything and I feel like we got a great price for what we received. Breakfast was another nice surprise especially after reading some of the other reviews. There's quite a lot of diversity in the breakfast offering. Overall I feel like the hotel should be much better rated than it currently is, I really enjoyed my stay and I had come in a bit scared after having read some of the reviews. We also arrived very late (after midnight), but we were very nicely greeted and quickly checked-in.

The one minus would be that when we got there the small trash can in the bathroom still had some trash inside and there was also an ashtray on the terrace with some cigarette buts inside, but we were so taken with everything else we even forgot to ask for these to be taken away at reception, I am sure they would have done so. To note they do not clean rooms on a daily basis unless asked in advance - this was absolutely not an issue for me, but you may wish to keep this in mind - they also mention this very clearly at check-in.

I love this hotel. My 4th stay in 2 years. Very central. Like a jam sandwich 2 blocks parallel with Karljohansgata and Oslo harbour just 5 minutes walk other side. Having the hotel name on edge of both corners can walk straight from side of steen strom or one block up from the designer shops block which is perfect to find your bearings as hidden away from Karljohansgata and one road away from the tram and buses . Plus if want room snacks late evening Joker grocery shop on opposite corner❤️

No blame on hotel but booked 4 nights but oslo weather decided not allow me to enjoy the city views due to rain so 30 minutes to sit outside. One major issue I Don't like is the steps out on to the balcony. They are a wooden steps so a need to stand on lower step then balance to next step then on balcony, they are deep . Trying to get back in is a real challenge have to stand on top of the wooden frame and step backwards and navigate the depth of the step back into room. Maybe a 3 step removable system would make things much easier.
