Room what I expected in terms of comfort level. Breakfast very good.

I booked a Premium Double x 2 single beds. When we arrived they could not provide so we had to take a lower level room to get two single beds. Not good. But after a conversation they gave us a small refund. Also it took along time to check in as two members of staff checking in a party of 25 with one of the party doing it and having to go off and get passports etc. They should have a seperate area for check in of large groups as this is a regular occurrence in this hotel.

The hotel is very close to both the train and bus stations. It was an easy 3 to 5 minute walk from both. There are approximately 20 steps down from the stations to the hotel and/or a steep ramp. The ramp was good going down but it was difficult getting heavy suitcases back up. We found that if you walk a little further and cross a rather busy road that there is a lift and escalator that takes you up to the train station. The room was very clean and comfortable and exactly as shown in the images. We had booked a superior room which has a shower over the bathtub. As I am 158cm and 70 years old I found it almost impossible to get in and out of the bath without trepidation. I requested a room with a walk-in shower and was quickly assigned a standard room which has the walk in shower but is slightly smaller. I was happy. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The staff was always very professional, friendly and helpful.

The Radisson Hotels do not provide adequate cupboard space. We stayed in hotels for 5 and 6 days at a time and it becomes tedious to constantly have to open and close suitcases because there is no where to put your clothing. I find this a design flaw. During this trip we stayed in 3 Radisson Blu, a Radisson Red and a Radisson Collection and the design of the rooms were similar and all lacked a draw or shelf inside a cupboard.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It is located next to the main bus terminal, and just a few minutes walk from the main train terminal and the city centre. It is also close to the harbour where you can get ferries across to the Fram and Kon Tiki museums. Plenty of coffee and breakfast places nearby, although be warned: many cafes don’t open until 10am. The hotel has plenty of lifts and they are very quick. In a hotel with 35 floors it makes a huge difference to the stay. There is a pizza and sports bar on the ground floor which does very good pizzas. Breakfast is served buffet style on the 2nd floor. It can get very busy, but there is a large selection of food; everything from continental breakfasts to cooked options, omelette stations to pancake stations. There is also a separate gluten free area away from anything else to avoid cross contamination. The staff are very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed. Plenty of warm water and the water pressure was also good. The blackout curtains in the bedrooms make the room truly pitch black, which is excellent. The hotel is very clean, and there is an ice machine on each floor.

The only downside, and this is not the fault of the hotel, is the demolition of the building directly opposite the hotel. Construction work starts at about 0730 and can be very loud. Obviously nothing the hotel can do about this, but it might be worth requesting a room at the rear of the hotel if you’re a light sleeper.

The gym and bar at the top, magnificent views! I really loved the gym as it had stunning views on both sides, good equipment (space is not big, but everything was there, I exercised daily), the gym stayed open until late and offered water, fresh fruit. The breakfast was superb, I enjoyed smoked salmon and drinking cod oil! A small pool was quiet in the early morning, perfect to visit if you are an early bird, water temperature is cool and lovely. Location of the hotel is central and very convenient. I would definitely be back.

The pool was crowded in the evening at 7pm on one day with a few noisy children, so my husband and 10-year old son didn't enjoy swimming there and the water wasn't very warm to my son's liking. I didn't like the fact that the sauna was located on a different floor to the swimming pool, was not convenient to walk after hot sauna through the corridor and stairs just to access the pool. The gym which was lovely is located by taking many stairs.

The view from our room on the 23rd floor was spectacular but you can see even more from the top floor gym on the 37th floor. The gym and the pool were almost always empty and quiet but well equipped - keep in mind the pool isn't very big but there's a water jet so you can swim in place. The water pressure in the shower in the bedroom was very strong. The breakfast options were very varied and the food very good. All staff was super friendly and we appreciated the option to store our luggage for free until it was time to take our train.

The bed was too soft and uncomfortable - it felt like going to sleep on deflating balloon. The bathroom in our room had underfloor heating but the room itself was missing this nice to have. We received a drink voucher from Radisson but only when we were at the bar were we informed that it actually couldn't be used for any alcoholic drinks.

This is a modern property with multiple amenities located just across from the central train station. The front desk staff was very helpful, providing a European adapter upon request and were always happy to answer any questions. My room was well appointed, with a comfy bed and blackout blinds to block out the 18 hours per day of sunlight. The views of Oslo and the harbor from the rooftop bar are exquisite. The hotel has a fascinating history involving the murder of a mysterious guest whose identity has never been determined.

I was placed in a room next to the housekeeping quarters and across from the elevator so it was noisy much of the time. There is also heavy construction happening across the street and it starts up early in the morning. Strangely, the gym is not accessible via elevator. You have to climb two extra floors beyond the elevator’s top level. That will be a barrier for people with mobility challenges. Additionally, one needs their room keycard to get back down. Unfortunately, that keycard didn’t always work, and I once found myself trapped in the stairwell, and banging on the door until a staff member noticed.

The hotel was very centrally located right next to the train station. It was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants and we were able to walk to the hotel after a very long train ride from Copenhagen. Although the hotel is in the city centre, it was quiet and I was able to sleep well.

It is a big hotel with many rooms so reception was always quite busy and it was quite chaotic at times with regard to the lines. Everyone was a little confused with the lift system as you need to put your room card onto a scanner and then be told which lift to get into. Breakfast was extremely busy so patience and consideration of some of the other guests who pushed in is required. My air conditioning worked on the 15th floor but some guests on the 31st floor were not happy with theirs. I was behind them in the reception line while they complained loudly.

We picked this hotel due to its location near the train station which we took from Stockholm. You could walk from the rain station to the hotel in a few minutes. The room was fine, bed comfortable and and bathroom a good enough size. The breakfast buffet was very good and had a lot of options. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Teh hotel was nice but it was a little bit of a walk up through town to get to tourist sites (Royal Palace, City Hall, etc.) and ferry terminals that we used to tour various sites. Did notice a few hotels in town that might have been in a little better location but were probably a lot more expensive. No major concerns on this hotel.

Very good location, friendly helpful staff, nice breakfast and the valet parking was also handled nicely. The room itself was nice, clean.

For some reason, in a week where the temperature in Oslo would reach 30 degrees celcius all the heating was cranked up in the hotel room. The bathroom floor heating was set at max (well over 25 degrees) the floor thermostat was set at 25 degrees as well. While we turned off the floor heating immediately and set the thermostat to a much lower temperature the first night was still fairly uncomfortably hot. Only after having had the window open during night it did cool down.

The hotel is situated next to Oslo station, which makes it ideal to reach by public transport. The room had an amazing view and was very comfortable. The breakfast provided an extensive range of freshly prepared food and drink. The staff are very helpful and polite.

I scored it 9 rather than 10 because we were given the wrong room at check in (we had paid extra for a fjord view) and the tea and coffee in the room had not been replenished. We had to ask twice for this to happen, and couldn’t call reception because the room phone didn’t work. These are all first world problems I know! Just wanted to explain why it wasn’t a 10! One other observation is the mini bar in the room - we were told that you could store your own drinks in there, but if you moved anything you would be charged and it would have to be adjusted at checkout. To be honest, it was so full there was no room to store anything! Perhaps an option could be to have the minibar emptied and use as a fridge?
