The best hotel breakfast I have ever had. So much to choose from, also a great selection of lacto/gluten free food. Room on the third floor was clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. The heater rack in the room came in handy after getting soaked in town earlier. Coffee in the lobby. Very nice staff. Great location with a tram stop right in front of the hotel.

Pillows could have been firmer. The door to the room didn't shut automatically upon leaving. You have to tap your room key to lock it, we didn't realize that until our last night leaving our room open. A small kettle in the room would be appreciated.

Anker hotel does exactly what you expect, giving travelers comfortable nights. The breakfast is amazing: a huge variety of Norwegian and international dishes, freshly cooked and delicious. In this price range, I believe it's the best deal including breakfast one can get. It's location next to a tram stop with all the major trams into town is also perfect, though it is walkable distance to the central station.

The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. Don't expect extra's, such as a kettle or an iron in the room. The staff is friendly enough to help you out, though, so we had all our needs fulfilled.

The hotel itself is great. I loved the view from the window. It’s clean and comfortable.

I find Storgata street extremely dangerous, nearby the hotel there is Sprøyteluka where drug addicts sleep after closing in it’s gate - don’t go close to it! It’s a pity for the hotel cause the hotel itself is great. A kettle and coffee/tea in the room should be for this price.

This hotel was in a great location close to a couple of very trendy neighborhoods with so many restaurants, coffee shops and shopping nearby. Plus there was a tram stop directly in front of the property that would take you anywhere you wanted to go in the city (via 4 different lines!). The check in was easy. The breakfast was fantastic and super abundant with so many options. The room was basic but adequate for what we needed. Bed was small but comfortable. Shower was great - both water pressure and temperature.

This is a very large Hotel located about 10 minutes walk from centre of Oslo. The Hotel is next to the river so this is good for jogging or walking. Some nice little waterfalls along the river. Plenty of cafes and restaurants near the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice and lots of it! I recommend avoiding the busy period between 8am and 9am as during summer months it can be very chaotic with lots of people at breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice lounge area with small bar for drinks and snacks. The Tram is directly outside the Hotel for trips in and out of the city and beyond. The Hotel is reasonably quiet at night.

The area leading up to the hotel and nearby is a little on the rough side, but not threatening or intimidating. There is a refuge nearby that attracts some unsavoury characters, but again, not threatening or dangerous. There are many people around going to /from work and tourists. So this makes it quite safe.

My stay at this hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Oslo city centre, making it very convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and public transport. There is also an amazing variety of restaurants in the surrounding area, offering plenty of dining options within easy reach. The room itself was comfortable, well maintained, and offered a fabulous view, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was another highlight – lavish, well stocked, and with plenty of choice to suit different tastes. Above all, the staff truly stood out. They were consistently cheerful, very helpful, and always accommodating, which created a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Oslo for its excellent location, great amenities, and outstanding service.

The location of the property was excellent, and the room was simple, modern, and pleasant. ıf I will be in Oslo again ; I will prefer again according to price I guess.

However, the pillows were quite small, and there was no power outlet in the bathroom, which made it difficult for me to do my hair. No any wipes , cotton pads in bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast was somewhat underwhelming. There were no espresso-based coffees made from freshly ground beans or freshly squeezed juices. The scrambled eggs were not well-prepared. At this price point, we have experienced more satisfying breakfast buffets in other parts of Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and Italy.

Excellent location with a tram stop right outside the hotel. Helpful, efficient staff, comfy beds, extensive breakfast - such a huge choice. I was in room 509 for two nights prior to joining a small group tour. That room was fine. The tour company had booked a - in theory - better room. However, the bathroom was smaller but the bed was bigger and the view better (room 706. I would stay here again if ever I came back to Oslo.

I didn’t see any guests while I was there who might find it a struggle, but be aware that if you are on the very large side, the shower “cubicle” is very small. Two folding doors fold in on themselves.

Room was clear and and quite on a higher floor what I requested. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good. The view from the windows was amazing. There was a tram stop right outside the hotel, which provided an excellent opportunity to travel to different parts of the city. The breakfast was great with a huge selection of dishes

The hotel was full and sometimes there was a wait for the elevator. Unfortunately, there is a significant issue with the coffee machine. There is only one machine, and it attracts long lines. Moreover, the machine is quite old, and the coffee tastes like it's made from instant coffee with powdered milk. For a hotel of this caliber, it would be better to have several coffee machines.

The hotel has a good location (close to the train station, the historical city center and the modern center). The room was nice, comfortable, clean with a great view. The hotel staff was relaxed and helpful. They had prepraded room earlier for me. The breakfast was just perfect! A large selection of tasty and fresh dishes and drinks. You can find some local accents as well.

No fridge in room. Strange solution with shower. Room was not soundproof - all noices from corridor are hearable inside the room (which is pretty anoying, especially when on the same floor there is accomodated school group).
