The best hotel breakfast I have ever had. So much to choose from, also a great selection of lacto/gluten free food. Room on the third floor was clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. The heater rack in the room came in handy after getting soaked in town earlier. Coffee in the lobby. Very nice staff. Great location with a tram stop right in front of the hotel.

Pillows could have been firmer. The door to the room didn't shut automatically upon leaving. You have to tap your room key to lock it, we didn't realize that until our last night leaving our room open. A small kettle in the room would be appreciated.

Anker hotel does exactly what you expect, giving travelers comfortable nights. The breakfast is amazing: a huge variety of Norwegian and international dishes, freshly cooked and delicious. In this price range, I believe it's the best deal including breakfast one can get. It's location next to a tram stop with all the major trams into town is also perfect, though it is walkable distance to the central station.

The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. Don't expect extra's, such as a kettle or an iron in the room. The staff is friendly enough to help you out, though, so we had all our needs fulfilled.

The hotel itself is great. I loved the view from the window. It’s clean and comfortable.

I find Storgata street extremely dangerous, nearby the hotel there is Sprøyteluka where drug addicts sleep after closing in it’s gate - don’t go close to it! It’s a pity for the hotel cause the hotel itself is great. A kettle and coffee/tea in the room should be for this price.

Excellent breakfast buffet, perfect English spoken by staff, very forthcoming, spotlessly clean rooms, comfy beds, comfortable walking distance to Cathedral, Central Railway Station, Opera, Munch Museum, ferry port, restaurants, cafés, Hop On Hop Off bus

The rooms and bathrooms in beautiful Norway are devoid of storage spaces for clothes and toiletries. It would be great to find a shelf or two, some towel racks and a shampoo basket in the showers. This shortcoming skews the value-for-money ratio somewhat. A note to booking.com: I don't come from Abkhazia, Georgia, but there's no way of correcting the information.

Room was clear and and quite on a higher floor what I requested. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good. The view from the windows was amazing. There was a tram stop right outside the hotel, which provided an excellent opportunity to travel to different parts of the city. The breakfast was great with a huge selection of dishes

The hotel was full and sometimes there was a wait for the elevator. Unfortunately, there is a significant issue with the coffee machine. There is only one machine, and it attracts long lines. Moreover, the machine is quite old, and the coffee tastes like it's made from instant coffee with powdered milk. For a hotel of this caliber, it would be better to have several coffee machines.

It was truly a perfect stay in every way! Our room was extremely clean, well-organized, and functional — it exceeded our expectations both in terms of comfort and aesthetics. The hotel overall had all the facilities one could need, thoughtfully prepared with great attention to guest comfort. The location was simply excellent! It was super easy to reach everywhere — public transport, city center, and main attractions were all just a short walk or ride away. But what impressed us the most was the reception team. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Their kindness and professionalism truly made us feel special and well cared for. In short, we were very, very satisfied with every service we received. If you’re looking for cleanliness, comfort, and warm hospitality, I can absolutely recommend this place. We would love to return on our next visit — thank you for everything!

I really like the all you can eat breakfast that was included. It was honestly very good value for money, especially if you book earlier so it is cheaper. Since Norway has expensive food this was quite exceptional given all of the meats that were included in the breakfast!

The rooms were a little bit too small, especially the beds. I am not a tall person (5' 7") and I found that the beds were a bit too small for my bother and I to share. If you have a lot of luggage it might seem crowded too, but you definitely get what you pay for (not in a bad way, in an honest way!). I think what threw me off the most was there is a block near the hotel that had a lot of sketchy people, we were looking for directions in the area and someone told us not to stand there because people often get mugged and there are lots of dealers in the area, so beware of this!

Great location to explore Oslo for a city break couple of stops on a tram (can buy a 24 hr zone 1 pass on Reuter cheaper than Oslo pass) and you can be anywhere you could want. Staff super friendly room clean and well maintained by housekeeping over our duration. Heated floor in the bathroom and super comfy bed and pillows. We stayed in room 913 and it had an excellent view over the city although with the positioning of the hotel any room a few floors up will have a superb view ! Breakfast was great well stocked and lots of choice ! There is also a shuffleboard table by the bar. Check in time was 3pm check out usually 11pm we got given late check out at 12 which was greatly appreciated as we had a later evening flight :)

If I had to pick up on anything to grumble about was that at breakfast times the lifts were so busy it took us 20 mins plus to get one down for breakfast one morning as they were all full or stopping at random empty floors. Plus maybe I wasn’t sure on the idea that with the buzzer from front desk staff anyone can go into the baggage hold room to place or collect their belongings I hope there is security cameras in there maybe it’s just because I’m used to staff only being able to access it I felt uneasy about this but I would like to say we had nothing go missing etc

The hotel is in a really good location, only 10-15 minutes walk from the central station and right next to trendy Grünerløkka, with lots of independent shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable and the digital check-in and -out process was super easy. The breakfast was great, with a good variety of hot and cold options.

The tea and coffee could be a lot better. The only teas available were Lipton, which isn't great quality. At breakfast on the first day I had a very nice filter coffee, but the next day this was not available and I tried a coffee from the espresso-style machine, which was so bad I couldn't finish it. Also, the TV solution in the room looked great, with the option to cast from your phone - except that when we tried it neither the casting nor the regular TV were working. We tried a lot of different solutions and it made for a frustrating end to an otherwise lovely stay.

The location is perfect, the room included coffee machine, tea and coffee. Comfortable pillows and beds, enough space and good size of the bathroom + place for our own cosmetics. Rich choice for breakfast. One of the best breakfasts we've had. You can drink tap water. The hotel is close to bus and tram stops and has shops nearby. Self check-in and check-out.

The price is a bit too high. We were lucky to have a discount due to black Friday otherwise I wouldn't choose this hotel. TV wasn't working, we had to ask for help, some things require fixing like towel holder in the bathroom or pieces of a tap. The hotel needs more elevators or have indicators for the stairs especially for lower floors. We expected a bit more based on the price w/o discount and feedbacks. But all in all it is a good hotel.
