When we finally got a room, it was pleasant and large.Good breakfast.

When we arrived, room not yet available and staff did little to accommodate us. We were initially offered a very dark and dreary room on the ground floor. Then we were offered a room on a higher floor - but the elevator was broken so we would have had to climb a steep flight of stairs (both of us in our 80s, so that was difficult). We finally got a room that only required one flight of stairs while waiting for elevator repair. Some staff were helpful, but others seemed to prefer playing cards. The neighborhood is not especially appealing.

The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. I booked this hotel because I had to catch a very early train and wanted to be near the train station. The hotel was surprisingly quiet given its location next to the station and I slept well. When I checked in, I mentioned to the concierge that I had to leave very early and would miss breakfast, and he kindly asked the kitchen to organize a takeaway breakfast for me, which was ready upon check-out at 5am. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient.

The bathroom is quite small but at least the shower has a proper door, unlike many hotels that just have a half-door or partition.

I stayed at the Thon Hotel Terminus in Oslo for one night and found it a great base for exploring the city. The location is spot on—very central, with easy access to the main train station from the airport. Everything felt safe and convenient, which seems to be a theme in Oslo. The hotel itself was comfortable and modern. The room had everything needed for a short stay—clean, warm, and quiet. The bed was cosy, and after a day of travelling and exploring, it was a welcome place to relax. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Breakfast was a highlight. A generous buffet with plenty of options, including traditional Norwegian items. I got to try the famous Norwegian brown cheese here—surprisingly tasty, though my daughter wasn’t convinced! From the hotel, it was an easy walk down to the waterfront and to the Royal Palace. The central location meant we didn’t need to worry about transport; everything we wanted to see was within a short stroll. Everything worked smoothly, which seems typical of Oslo. The city and the hotel both gave off a clean, organised, and stress-free vibe.

Staff a little cold upon arrival. Two guys. Didn’t feel welcoming.

Convenient location, only a short walk away from the train station. Pleasantly surprised with underfloor heating in the bathroom, such a lovely touch. Bed was extremely comfy, very quiet room and breakfast was superb! I would thoroughly recommend anyone staying to book the breakfast, the options were endless! Lovely touch serving complimentary nespresso coffee in the hotel lobby.

It's not really something the hotel can do anything about as rooms on either side of the hotel are accessed by two different lifts. I would say that if customers have a 'preference' to use the gym for the hotel to prioritise rooms on that side of the hotel so customers are not having to travel up and down multiple lifts, it felt very confusing!

Breakfast was a good selection. Nespresso coffee machine was a good addition ( we like their coffee) but not clear on drink selection. Staff were helpful and polite. Room was spacious and clean.

No heating for the room. In fact, the air vent by the door of room 526 only blew out cool air! The frosted glass bathroom door is just odd. The Chinese images behind the glass headboard of the bed seemed odd in Scandinavia- maybe something in keeping with the Norwegian life / history?

Room temperature superb during winter season and the location for this hotel near to Oslo station and Mall. Easy access and good. Breakfast superb and satisfactory. This hotel also located at center Oslo city and good value for family vacation. Wi-Fi access also good for traveller.

Toilet room does not provide bidet and difficult to us for defecate. Washroom to small and not provide with hygiene accessories means toothbrush and shaver such as any hotel I have travels have provide this item.

Good sized room in a well located spot for the events I was attending in Oslo; staff very helpful from room servicing to the reception desk.

The first night was very noisy due to music coming from a nearby venue until the early hours; the reception staff soon addressed this and whilst the music was still played each night it was not at a level to impact sleep.

Amazing breakfast with a lot of variety and good quality. Super-comfortable beds! The location is very convenient too, only a short walk from the most central streets and the opera house and very close to the central train station. If you’re not looking for anything luxurious, this ticks all the basic boxes pretty well!

The rooms are rather small and pretty basic, there’s also no lounge or any common area other than the breakfast dining hall.

Central location, excellent breakfast, decent gym room, good quiet room/ decent sound proofing as at first I was a little worried that my room was immediately opposite the elevator but I never heard any noise

There’s nothing to dislike but not extraordinary either although the breakfast was 5 star for sure

As others have commented before, the breakfast was excellent. A huge variety of all sorts of foods. Convenient location close to the train station, tram and bus stops and helped by the restrictions on local car traffic, completely silent at night. I would be happy to return.
