The breakfast selection was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options, including fresh fruits, avocados, and a generous cold and hot buffet. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and store our bags after check-out. The gym was great; the bed was incredibly comfortable; and the location was perfect, you could walk almost everywhere.

However, there was a minor downside: we found a sandwich in plastic wrap left in the fridge from a previous guest, which gave us the impression that cleanliness might not be as thorough as it could be.

The hotel was 2 minutes' walk from Oslo Central Station, this was very convenient. The Opera House and Munch Museum were 5 minutes' walk away, and lovely walks along the front towards the Radhusplassen. Very warm welcome by the desk staff, who were helpful and able to provide information about the area. Great room, quiet, very clean, well equipped, bathroom was excellent. Excellent breakfast the following day too. An excellent hotel, I am planning on returning there in a couple of months' time.

Although this is not related to the hotel itself, if you are arriving by train, beware of people 'selling' cards and gifts around the station / Strandgata, they can be quite persistent. Better to decline what they're trying to sell and walk away.

Room facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent wifi. Good choice at breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location right in the city centre with good public transport links or close enough to walk to a lot of places of interest.

There was no way to control the room temperature - sometimes it was horribly hot and other times it was a bit cold. The bathroom needed some work - it was old and worn. It was also frustrating that you could only turn the bathroom light off with a switch by the door to the room rather than one by the door to the actual bathroom,

We had one night in Oslo before our train departure to our ski trip in Geilo. The location was perfect. There was an underground path to the train station and so close to tons of shopping and amazing restaurants. The hotel itself was amazing. Nice size of rooms and super quiet. Our room had a bunk bed that our boys loved, a sofa bed as well as a standard bed. We all slept very comfortably. The breakfast in the morning was a delight. A great assortment of healthy foods and a wide variety of choices. The people working there were fantastic and very helpful

Though room is not large in area, but it was doable for 2pax + location is so convenient for transportation access, centralized and shopping needs...Has a small gym also...The excellent breakfast has a wide spread esp the variety of bread, milk, cheese, cold cuts, spreads, smoked salmon, bread crisps (Danish Knekkebrod) etc..Am warmly greeted by front desk staff, and special mention of Daniel@restaurant; who served and conversed with every guests so warmly and cheerfully during breakfast time...when we said we love the Knekkebrods, Daniel brought out the packing-samples from the kitchen to show us, so that we can purchase them from Meny Supermart next door..Great ambassador of the Hotel.

Not many negatives.

Property is in perfect walking distance to many attractions. I did a walking tour that started at the opera house and was very pleased when it was so close. Also, things like ATMs and several pharmacies are within 5 minutes. Super convenient for anything you may need last minute. Truly can’t beat the proximity to the train station either. Come from the airport and leaving were a breeze.

I personally did not have any qualms. I’m sure depending on where the room faces there is potential for some sound, but I didn’t personally experience this.

We were greeted warmly and were able to check in very smoothly. The location is great, near the train station and the attractions were all within walking distance. The breakfast spread was beyond our expectations. In general, we really enjoyed our stay.

If we had to nitpick, we wished that the TV had English channels or Asian channels; kids were watching Nickelodeon in the local language. While the WiFi signal was generally okay, but we felt it is on the slower side, we could tell when we were using our social platforms. Hopefully, it will be upgraded the next time we visit.

We stayed at Scandic Oslo hotel for one night only and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very well appointed and it was extremely convenient for the train station and a nice stroll to historic centre and harbour with the beautiful Opera House and the impressive Library. Complementary breakfast was impressive and so well stocked with everything you could think of. Thank you for providing great service.

Only remark is the inability to open the window in our room fully. And the corridor s which were like a maze.

Close to Oslo Central station with lots of restaurants close by. Staff at hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Breakfast had a great selection of foods and was very good. We only have a couple suggested improvements: you should ask for additional towels since a floor bath mat isn’t provided and shower doors leak and air conditioning is centrally controlled so at night you need to crack windows or it gets stuffy and hot. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel based on location and value.

Really well located, just 2mins from Oslo Central Station as well as a number of public transport options within 1min walk. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous - hot and cold food, vegetarian and gluten free options. Vast array of pastries, breads, cereals, and drink. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, although the pillows were very soft.

Shower door needed a strip at the bottom to stop water soaking the rest of the bathroom floor. Inter-room door was thin allowing sound and light from the neighbouring room to come through. But these are minor niggles.
