Location is absolutely perfect. We came all the way from Trondheim to see out favourite band TENACIOUS D live and the hotel could not be located better - it's literally situated ON TOP of the train station, next to the opera and the Oslo Spectrum hall. The staff was really friendly and helpful too!

The room was much smaller than we anticipated from the pictures. The view from our window was disappointing - a wall! There's no HOT water coming from the tap or shower, just warm. But if you want to have a relaxing hot shower after walking all day, forget it! The morning buffet is stupidly tiny and even though there were only about 15 people ahead of us to pick their food, it felt like ages to be able to finally get something. And the choice was really poor too.

Breakfast and location are excellent.

A kettle for tea/ coffee in the room would have made the stay perfect.

Fabulous location. Access to Main Street across the road or to the opera house , library etc so central! Easy to find after airport train. Warm welcome Friendly staff. Great breakfast and very friendly staff.

The room was small but very cozy. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal. They offer a little bit of everything. It was so nice to have a small 24-hour lobby bar because we arrived around 1:00am from the airport and were so tired from 28 hours of travel. A glass of wine was just what we needed to unwind, and we could have one right at our hotel. The location is also EXTREMELY convenient for sightseeing but mostly because it is right next to the train station - so convenient for flying in/out of Oslo airport. (There was no noise from the trains) There is a food hall attached to the hotel as well as a few nicer restaurants just outside...very convenient.

I really appreciated the help of one staff member, Jelena, who put a lot of time and effort (even using her own phone) into helping me contact SAS regarding my baggage, which they failed to load at the departure airport. The location was excellent for us as we took the Flytoget from and to the airport. It was also very central and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Breakfast had everything we wanted. The rooms (we stayed twice) were clean and simply, but adequately, furnished and we were quite comfortable. I'd certainly recommend the Comfort Hotel Grand Central to visitors to Oslo.

The corridor to my room would only light up by sensors that were at the first door so most of the time i would be walking in complete darkness along the long corridor once i got out my room.

Excellent high energy Central location: close to important landmarks in Oslo. Walk out to a high-energy vibe outside. Inside central train station is the reason we chose this hotel. Can walk to the airport train for example. You can walk to the Munch Museum and the Opera House for an excellent view. Breakfast had just enough healthy options for me.

High-energy central buzz a little too much at night. We could hear the street cars. Lobby is a little crowded and small. Breakfast ok but not the nice bread we had throughout Norway at other hotels. (Multigrain sunflower bread)I liked the ginger shots and hot oatmeal though. I like to put fruit in the oatmeal so would like the pineapple cut up. (Without the outer grind)

The room was large with a good view over the plaza in front of Oslo station. The bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast really was excellent, with a wide range of food available including Norwegian specialities like brown cheese and herring (plus the usuals). The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the museums, Opera House and shopping streets of Oslo on foot. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful.

I accidentally jogged the bedside reading light on during the night and it took me some time to work out how to turn it off (by pushing it against the wall). Hotel bedroom lights are of course famously mysterious.

Excellent location in heart of Oslo centre and transport routes. I could walk to many attractions or catch a tram or bus right outside. Loved the view from my room overlooking the Opera.

I didn’t enjoy the breakfast set up. They ran out of orange juice on two mornings, removed hot water for tea and I had to ask for it. I guess my downfall is that the other two hotels I stayed at during this trip had a much better selection on offer and more order. No salmon was also a disappointment. I’m in Norway after all. It was also pretty chaotic this morning. A lot of people arrived at once and everyone was scrambling for cutlery and plates.

Staff really pleasant. The shower was exceptional. I had a small double room just for me. Not sure how two people would fare staying for more than one night, but it was great for me. The situation is brilliant - above Oslo S. It was about five minutes maximum to get to the fast airport train - Flytoget. The breakfast was exceptional. It would be great if you were arriving late as you only have to walk through the station hall to get there. I didn't have a view but for one night that was fine. The bed was great and the room was cleaner than many others I have stayed in. I will certainly go back.
