Great location! Really liked the neighbourhood so it was nice to be based here. Also easy access to other areas and airport, with a very nearby bus and a tram a short walk away. The breakfast was excellent — so many delicious things to choose from! Appreciated the barley porridge, ginger shots and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon! The bed was really comfy, and it was well configured room – I appreciated the good number of plug sockets and mirrors in the right places (which is often overlooked), and also a kettle was a big plus. Nice reception area also with friendly staff.

My room felt a bit tatty, some marks on the walls etc (I imagine because it was a dog friendly room?). Also the shower pressure wasn’t as good as I had hoped and it took a while to get hot water in the sink. I would’ve also preferred larger cups for tea/coffee than the ones provided. But minor points.

The location suited us well - not too far to walk from the train station, or into the main shopping street. Also, there's a bus route next to the hotel if you dont want to walk. It is also right next to a big food court ("Mathallen") , which offers plenty of options for relatively inexpensive dining, and a good supermarket. Our room faced an inner courtyard so we didn't get any street noise, and the window had block-out curtains to spare us from the early sunrise. Room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast presented a good range of foods, eaten in the sunny dining room, and was not over-crowded. Overall a very clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location, we would happily stay there again when in Oslo.

The bedside tables have very sharp edges.

The hotel’s location is relatively near the center, with shops and restaurants within easy reach, and the room was a good size. There were many busses and trams also stopping close by.

Unfortunately, the nearby pub was very noisy in the evenings and at night, which affected my rest. Better soundproofing or informing guests about this issue might be helpful. The air conditioning and ventilation could not be turned off, causing a continuous airflow that made the room feel windy. There was no kettle, coffee, tea, or even a cup or glass in the room, which would have been very useful for guest comfort. The bathrooms are equipped only with a bathtub, and getting in and out can be difficult and potentially unsafe, especially since the floor is not non-slip.

Breakfast was very good. We liked the location in a less touristy neighborhood. There was a park across the street and a food hall with several restaurants in the same development. We liked the easy access to the pedestrian path along the river that we could take to get to central Oslo.

Minor annoyances detracted from the overall experience. The sink drained slowly. The headboard was not plugged in so we had no lights or power until we got that sorted late in our stay. The top kept popping off the soap dispenser so I switched it out with one in the shower. There was no way to exit n the ground floor where the food hall is located. The card slot for the power is located next to the bathroom instead of by the front door. There was nothing major wrong but the little annoyances added up.

I love the breakfast in this hotel. There are several kinds of bread, pancake, croissant, ham, salmon, over easy egg, and scrambled egg. They also provide some fruits, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The staffs are very kind. The room is clean, and the bed is so comfortable. By the way, this hotel is very safe, and there is always a hotel reception with real people not auto check in. If the safety is one of your concern, then I would recommend this hotel!

Although the price is a bit high, I still think the hotel offers good value in safety, services, rooms, breakfast, and kind staffs.

This is an excellent location, walking distance to parks, restaurants and cafes and public transportation. Oslo is a place where you really don’t need a car and can get get anywhere pretty fast using their trams and buses. Our room was spacious snd clean and the windows actually open (often not the case in Norwegian hotels or maybe just our experience). Best breakfast we’ve had the whole trip. Fun beer garden a block away. Would stay there again for sure.

No complimentary coffee/tea available in the lobby like in other Scandics we’ve stayed in. They actually charge for it. No kettle in the room, but probably available with an upgrade.

The breakfast was amazing, the food at the restaurant was also great. The employees at the restaurant were super friendly. Our room was big and the huge window was a plus. Everything you could possibly need was close to the hotel, so we didn't have to go far for food or other basic things. There were many busses and trams also stopping close by.

The lady at the reception could have been more attentive - she didn't care about the A/C freezing our room through-out the day and didn't offer any information about the hotel, breakfast time, etc. (The extra information was available on the website and on posters, but it would have been nice to hear it from an actual person instead of having to look for it.) Since our room was so cold, it would have been nice to have a tea kettle in our room for warmth and coziness. Also, the shower's water pressure was quite weak.

Breakfast was really good and lots of choice, best breakfast we've had in a hotel for a very long time. Staff friendly and attentive! Quiet in the evenings which means undisturbed sleep and a 25min walk to city centre, or 3min bus ride using the app RUTER (bus stops right outside hotel). Windows opened which was a bonus for fresh air and then bathroom was clean with daily room service.

Our door did not lock and was faulty, we only realise upon returning the 2nd day and realised the door was not locked, we then had to use the key to lock it and ensure not open (then double lock from inside at night) - however it is not likiley crime would occur in Norway. We let staff know so they were aware and could look at it after we'd left.

Location is reasonably close to the city center (15 min walk), sound insulation of the room is good, room clean, bed comfortable. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast very good with wide selection and a nice view.

The room is on a small side especially for two people, not much space or furniture to put your things, optimised more towards business traveler who travels light and stays for a short time. The room not very well lit, the window was facing towards some other buildings so not much light from that source either, so it feels a bit like a cave.

The hotel is actually in a really great location once you get to know Oslo. There are beautiful sites around it, the food hall nearby is great (and the Hrimnir Ramen next door has really good chasu!) and across the river is a lively neighbourhood (plus streets with picturesque houses and the oldest church in Oslo nearby). The bedroom had a nice view, the bathroom was spaceous, the staff very friendly.

We did receive a room with two beds pushed together and not a double bed as I had requested. The first time going to the hotel feels that it is somewhat far away from the centre. The breakfast hall did feel cosy, but is definitely too small (every day somebody had to eat in the restaurant on the floor below which meant climbing the stairs). And what is up with not having (oat) milk next to the coffee machine so that I can pour myself instead of having it go through the machine???
