The location is good. Easy to catch taxi not so far from the hotel.

The door handle was not working well when being opened with the room card key, which is quite troublesome for a while. They finally change it with the manual door key. The bathroom has no door (and we are travelling with the kids), so you can imagine.

The Location is awesome, right in the centre of lively shops, bars and cultural event venues. It is also next to the best catholic church in town, run by franciscan monks, which has two services a day even on weekdays. (8am & 7pm) Yay! Staff was very friendly and the owner gave me his phone number. Any problem was solved within minutes. Breakfast was nice. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Narrow staircase, no lift. Staff will carry your luggage, but you still got to carry yourself 😅 I stayed for two seperate nights. First time (room 6) the room was spotless, but bed was too soft. Second time (room 4), the bed was comfortable, but it could've been cleaned better. The windows (at least on even-numbered rooms) are out into an alleyway. That's nice for privacy, but there's no view and no sun. it helps with keeping the temperature lower, though, and you probably don't want to spend much daytime in the room anyway, with a city busting with life at your fingertips.

Room was large for Istanbul standards, air condition was efficient and even with 30C outside room was cool. Location was outstanding, this is why we chose it, close to Metro and trams to give access to all sights: palaces, mosques, boat trips etc. The room was cleaned very well daily, so all was very professional. The host, Muammer, was very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful with tips for visits, travels in Istanbul and even arranged for a taxi for us carrying our bags. Highly recommended!

As most old Istanbul houses the refurbishment into a hotel has its limitations, so with no lift a disabled person could possibly find the stairs a bit steep, however Muammer was kind enough offering to deliver our luggage himself to our room (No 6) on the second floor.

When I booked the hotel there was a misunderstanding I booked Dulex double room but they told me they don’t have that room available but the owner is such a nice guy and he switched us to a queen bed and a sofa bed the next day. Overall even though I was not satisfied at first the owner make it up to us.

The room they show you on booking.com might not be what you’re getting so double check before you pay.

The staff were very helpful (although there is no one at the reception in the morning and late evening, there is a phone where the manager can be reached and he always answered quickly). The rooms were clean. Breakfast is in a nearby cafe and it was delicious.

It can be noisy at night. But, in the end, it is like that in the whole area around Taksim. I don't think any room has a view. This was unimportant to us because we spent a little time in the room, and from the terrace on the roof there is a nice view of the Bosphorus.

The location is excellent. It is just in Taksim Square ,you just open the door, and you are there . Mr Meilh was very nice to us , he helped us a lot he did his best , also Mr Artur The WiFi is excellent as you are at home. The place is save , The rooms were clean and comfortable , we had a nice balcon with fresh air Breakfast was excellent Also, there is wildcaferesturant excellent food and good price. I advise you to try it just close to the hotel You can go anywhere to Istanbul. Every adventure is close to you Again, location and location were excellent The service was excellent

Annoying noise from the street because there are many restaurants around the hotel

The staff was excellent and the location top notch.

The room isn't sound proofed enough and you can hear everything on the street below. The aircon was so so along with the internet. Stairwell was interesting, beware if you are older or have bad knees.

Our room was situated to the last floor so you have access to the terrace on the roof for the smokers is perfect enjoying good weather and a glass of wine. Reception guy very welcoming and give us maximum of information and the cleaning lady very very helpful and make her best to feel comfortable in the room.

Unfortunately no elevator so prepare yourself for a good workout 🏃🏻‍➡️ is not an critic point is mostly a small advice if few details are fixed in the room they will become more comfi

The location of the hotel was perfect, just a few steps away from the centre of Istiklal street, very close to get to other places in Istanbul too like Galata, Eminönü, Beşiktaş, etc. The staff were amazing, especially Arthur, and did everything they could to please me. The room was spacious and facilities were all working and new, including the television, shower, jacuzzi, and air conditioner. Pleased with this hotel :)

Very small problem- no elevator and cleaning could be better.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was in easy walking distance to many cafes. (We were only there a very short time and didn't need to get around much.) The room was much larger than we expected...with not only a bed, but a sofa, too. Very clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. And, a great shower!! (Also, air-conditioning!) There is a rooftop balcony with a view of the sea...especially nice at night.

Our driver had a difficult time finding the hotel...not sure if it was due to GPS directions, or the tucked-away nature of the hotel. Either way, we got there and loved our stay.
