We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Kryzstof. He checked us in in a very professional and efficient manner. He guided us to our room and explained breakfast service while doing this. The bedroom and ensuite were lovely, with toiletries provided. Tea and coffee were available in our room. We had a great night sleep in the cosy bed. There were plenty of channels on the TV and free Wi-Fi. On waking the next morning, we went to the dining area were there was an extensive breakfast menu. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. All in all, it was a great place to visit and exceptional value for money. Thank you.
We only had one night, I wish we had stayed for longer 😆.

Excellent location and the owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and they were able to stay in our room at night which ensured they were relaxed. We stayed for 2 nights over Christmas and enjoyed an excellent meal in the afternoon, which for us was a most welcome change as the first time in 33 years we have managed to get away on our own for the festive period.
A working lift would be helpful as my wife has mobility issues and found the stairs a bit tiring. However, to be fair the hotel’s website does make it clear at time of booking that the upper floors are only accessible by stairs.

I stayed here for two nights when visiting Strangford Lough, as my grandmother used to spend her summers there. Lovely room overlooking the Lough (I had room 2). Tasty cooked breakfast, included in the price. The owners, Chris and Marzena were very helpful and pleasant.
The reading lamps over the bed were no longer in use and had been replaced by a single bedside lamp (which was very nice soft light) - I asked for a second lamp to give some more light. The main light was working too but it's good to have softer pockets of light.

Absolutely stunning location and our room looked out across Strangford Lough. It was mesmerising to watch the ferry travel back and forth. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful night's sleep. There isn't a lot to do on a Tuesday night in May in Portaferry but we had a delicious meal in the Portaferry Hotel followed by a few drinks and a leisurely walk. Breakfast was amazing....so much food, we didn't need to eat again all day. Our host was friendly and attentive and very welcoming.
There was very little to do and nowhere to go. The only place to eat was the Portaferry Hotel but it was lovely.

Dog friendly guest house with the most perfect garden for our little dog. Very comfortable property and friendly couple who were on hand to help with any request we had. Could not have had a better view from our room or more relaxed stay.
There really wasn't much to complain about. If I could make one suggestion it would simply be to an alternative to a cooked breakfast ie cereal and pastries with tea instead of the cooked offerings when staying for a longer period

We enjoyed lots of this trip.Great location, spacious room, amazing sea view, large comfy bed, friendly staff, great choices for breakfast, great area. Quiet at night. My 9 year old nephew had an amazing time.
We did not like the level of cleanliness in the bathroom. The dirt and grime around the base of the toilet, very dirty bin in the bathroom, both shower heads disgusting with black dirt and scum. The vent on the ceiling in the bathroom really needs to be cleaned. Also the child kept pointing out the dirt around the edges of the bed on the floor so under the bed could do with a hoover.

Great location, hop off ferry and there you are! Easy access on arrival (later than expected but someone there to check.us in anyways) Lovely building with nice touch of character. Tastefully decorated. Great view of Strangford Lough. Good shower with shampoo and shower gel available. Heating on in bedroom, when we arrived in the evening to have it cosy for us.Super choice of breakfast. Pet friendly, so our woof enjoyed it too!
All good. Slightly low curved roof beside windows (room 5) so mind your head!

The staff were all so friendly, the hotel itself is a cool, quirky little place right on the front. Walking distance from all amenities, the food was great too. I emailed in advance to let them know I’m vegan & they made sure I had plenty to eat, even going so far as to cook me a separate meal when we booked to eat in the evening. Thanks so much!
Bed felt a little lumpy at first but I soon got used to it.
