SPA Kids in pool Whole spa area should be much bigger for amount of people visiting it. Would be great if spa would be kids free because it makes it feel as your local town leisure centre. In pool at the decorative waterfall silicone makes it look cheap. It’s more as a wedding venue than a spa. My first and last time there

Lovely room. Afternoon tea and meals lovely.

Not enough coffe and tea in room for 2 days.had to empty bin and leave outside plus ran out of toilet roll.

Location was brilliant and the facility to allow a dog was excellent, Being able to have dog in Percy French to have an evening drink was brilliant, we also had food here for lunch one day with the dog and the girl who served us was brilliant with the dog and brought him a lovely bowl of water - nice touch.

Breakfast was disappointing for the Irish Fry, soda bread and potato bread was so hard that it was not like anything I have eaten before and found it very difficult even to cut the soda bread, didn't think this was a good example of our Irish fry! The rest of the breakfast was lovely. Lighting in the room was very poor as the room was very dark and some areas impossible to see due to no lighting and how dark room was. Was told in email that I would pay extra for dog (which I was more than happy to do) and that we would be supplied with dog bed, food bowls and treats. None of this was supplied by the hotel. We had brought our own incase and glad that we did as this was not what I expected or was told via email what they would be in the room for me.

Location is excellent right on the coast with great sea views. Public spaces were luxurious, Check in was easy, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Concierge Greg for his advice on places to visit and woman at Percy French (sorry no name) who got us a sea view table and advised on the menu options. Lots of available parking and proximity to the town. Bathrobes and slippers. Excellent food and choice of drinks in the bar.

Room was slightly overlooked by an adjacent room unless the curtains were drawn !! Only mirror was on the wardrobe doors, could have done with one for doing hair/makeup. Drawer space was limited to the wardrobe as well. Bedside tables were ornamental with no drawer space. Arrived to no TV remote, quick call and sorted by reception.

Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with quality bedding. There is plenty of public space including a pleasant bar area. The spa was a big attraction. We had dinner on one night and were happy with the quality of the food. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

There was a lack of consistency in terms of clearing cereal bows etc from the breakfast table. On one morning the service was excellent. On the other, it was not even though it was not particularly busy at the time. It was not a huge issue but it seemed to me that staff training and supervision could be improved in order to provide more consistent service.

The location, the staff, the view, the aesthetic and interior of the hotel was gorgeous. The breakfast is in a gorgeous room with a lovely view. Most breakfast items were great, there's a great selection. Some items were a little stale, the potato bread and soda bread for example. The room was lovely and beautifully designed with a nice bed and view. We received a free upgrade to a room with a sea view which was amazing. The spa is wonderful. A gorgeous view of the sea from the sauna and lovely jacuzzi and beds to lay on

The shower pressure wasn't great and it was hard to get the temperature right. On the morning of check out there was a leak from the ceiling down onto the cabinet with the TV. On check out we communicated this and staff were apologetic and said they'd sort it

The leisure centre was lovely, with a big swimming pool and the jacuzzi and steam room were REALLY hot. The leisure centre has it's own cafe, which serves a range of sandwiches and salads - very pleasant and relaxing vibe to it. Our room was spacious and actually had a fridge. The location is great The hotel fronts onto the beach and if you turn left you can walk as far as the Murlough National Nature Reserve. Turn the other way and it is a short walk to Newcastle town centre.

Lighting in the room - in particular there was a REALLY dark area at the foot of the bed (where there was a chest of drawers and the tv).

The location is unbeatable. Beautiful views of the Mountains of Mourne , Newcastle and the sea. The spa is wonderful, especially the pool and the amazing hot tub where you can sit and relax looking straight out the sea and mountains. The decor was very nice, especially in the lovely breakfast room ( had the best porridge ever !) and our room and the bed was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were great and what our visit really special is that they remembered I had a special birthday and we were upgraded plus delicious cake and a thoughtful note were sent to the room. Already decided we have to go back .

The hairdryer was not great quality, I struggled to hold my finger on the “ on” button.

Enjoyed the spa facilities and breakfast. Very handy location for walking into town. The bed was massive and very comfortable, as were the pillows.

Although beautifully decorated, the rooms were a tad gloomy with the dark paint colours. Storage was limited, no drawers in our room., the bedside cabinets had false drawers and as did the cabinet with the TV on which looked like a chest of drawers but was actually a cupboard for the tea/coffee and mini fridge. This meant we had to keep the majority of our items in the suitcase which was a bit of a nuisance during a longer stay. You also don’t get any of the extras in terms of toiletries e.g. cotton buds/pads, shower caps, bar of soap.

- The highlight of our visit was Martine, who served us at breakfast. She provided great service with humour and loads of personality. - Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and tasty. - Stunning location; very pleasant having breakfast while looking out over sea and mountains - The spa was first class and its staff were helpful and friendly. - The room was great and the bed was very comfortable.

- Reception staff polite and efficient but not particularly welcoming. - WiFi only accessible subject to consenting to your data being stored and used for the hotel or service provider’s purposes. Did not therefore use it. - The fire in reception wasn’t lit on Sunday which was quite a cold day. - The shower in the room was lukewarm - There were no nuts, crisps, snacks/bites available in the bar in the evening. We queried this with bar staff who told us management didn’t allow this sort of thing to be provided. - There was water and a couple of biscuits in the room when we arrived but these were not replenished.
