The apartment was lovely, very modern and in central Newcastle which was handy to just walk into town! The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable which was great! The TV also had access to WiFi and different streaming apps. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely come back :)

No kitchen roll, tea towels or cleaning spray which would be good to have in the kitchen area. Found the hob a little tricky to use. The door code wasn't emailed a few days prior as stated in instructions but appreciate I had accidentally paid the deposit a little late - staff were really great in getting this sorted for us however :)

The apartment was lovely, spacious, modern and well presented. Handy location. Comfortable bed - apartments seemed to have all the facilities you would need. Breakfast in the morning was very good too and we all enjoyed it.

Unfortunately the kitchen bin under the sink was not emptied after previous occupants. I was woken by seagulls outside from about 3am in the morning which continued through. I actually got up thinking the window was open but they weren’t. There was also an alarm going off in the hallway during the night / morning which also woke me up- I got up and went to hall to see what it was but I have no idea what it was and it went on for a very very long time. It actually panicked me and I couldn’t settle after that. So not much sleep got. Apartments very hot in bedrooms and could have done with a fan.

It was well located in the Main Street area and convenient to the shops, beach and restaurants. It had two bedrooms and ample space and storage for clothes and suitcases. Kitchen living area is nice and clean throughout. Breakfast was included at the cafe beside the building and it was delicious. Very busy cafe and staff friendly.

Stairs were steep for an elderly person who has mild mobility issues but it was okay. I should have checked this out before booking. No private parking close by so had to carry lots of luggage up and down stairs which was a bit tricky.

Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. The apartment is very well appointed and decorated and modern in design layout, being both functional and comfortable. The tidiness and cleanliness were second to none. The central location is wonderful with just about everything you need practically on the doorstep!

I am editing this as I want to clarify that external annoyances are obviously not the fault of the hosts! I simply want to make future guests aware that these issues exist! Street noises were very intrusive especially the pedestrian beeper on the traffic lights which went off about every 90 seconds. Double glazing would definitely help. Also the boy racers ripping down main street at midnight was certainly not appreciated and I cannot understand why such antisocial nonsense is tolerated.

Great location, so central. Very clean and tidy apartment and had everything that we needed for a stay away from home. Flat was always toasty heatwise. Loved the living area and made use of the tv before we headed out. Made use of the kitchenette for cuppa teas and coffees as well. Really enjoyed our breakfasts (included) both morning, such a nice touch and we got to meet the lovely owner Dana. We will definitely book to come back again and we highly recommend staying here!

Lovely cosy apartment that felt like a home away from home. Couches and smart tv comfortable and handy to lie up and enjoy some quiet time. Lovely one bedroom apartment that was exactly like the pictures. It was lovely and toasty with the heat on in the open plan livingroom/kitchen area. Very central location and very friendly staff. Good addition getting 10% off a beautiful breakfast in the morning at Shimna cafe also. I would highly recommend here and we would stay again :)

Only thing that didn’t seem to work was the heated towel rail in the bathroom…but maybe I possibly couldn’t work it right. Only a minor complaint anyway as did not affect our stay at all, but I just like to be honest incase it might be broken/need bled.

The apartment was spotless, it had all that you would need, a home from home in a perfect location on the main street, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by. A two minute walk to the beach and there is a cafe right next door. It was warm and welcoming. Myself and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing one night stay here and Dana was very helpful and accommodating in allowing us an early check in and late check out. Would highly recommend this apartment and we most definitely will be back again one day.

Genuinely couldn't find any fault with the apartment, location, or the owner, and the communication from start to finish was helpful and informative.

The apartment was extremely clean, it had everything you need for cooking and just staying in. It’s very modern and a good size. The owners are lovely also, they even left some bottled water in the fridge, there was soap, shampoo and lots of lovely towels. When I say it’s an amazing location I mean it’s in the town and the beach is a 2 minute walk behind it.

I didn’t like the pull out sofa, it was uncomfortable and noisy. And the hob of the cooker is impossibly to work. And it’s a bit noisy where it’s located but you have to expect that with it being in the town. There’s a lot of stairs for any that has difficulty climbing

Property was fine but bedroom was just too warm , a fan was provided but still really warm . Would be nice if milk and some supply’s left no sugar but there was teabags no dish cloth to wipe down are a brush to clean up the floor apart from that it was an ok stay , the restaurant beside the stay is owned by the same people food was beautiful but a discount would be a grt incentive . Only bad thing is the 3 flights of stairs killer lol

We stayed at the Blue Door Apartment and had a wonderful experience. The apartment is well kept, clean, and cozy, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the area. The hospitality was outstanding – we truly felt at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a practical yet charming place to stay in Ireland.
