My recent stay at Timber House in Kathmandu was absolutely wonderful, exceeding all my expectations. I genuinely enjoyed everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. What stood out: exceptional Staff (especially Sanju, Ram, Rabita!). The biggest highlight was undoubtedly the staff, particularly Sanju. Her service was truly exceptional. She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond throughout my entire stay. The location is very convenient - close enough to the vibrant Thamel area to easily explore, yet situated on a quieter street for a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!

Whenever I am in Kathmandu, I always stay at the Timber House. I've stayed here on 4 separate occasions already. The staff are like family already; they are all awesome. From the security guards, Ram, Parbati, Rabita of reservations and front desk, the housekeeping, and the restaurant waiters and servers. The location is fantastic and ideal, being central and very close to Thamel but away from its chaos.

I hope they can develop and innovate their food and drink offerings. They have the best restaurant and bar facility, a rooftop overlooking the city. Lovely sunrises and captivating sunsets.

We had a wonderful stay at the Timber House. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were maintained immaculately. The food was delicious and the rooftop bar spectacular. No requests were too much trouble for the dedicated team. I’d especially liked to thank Ram Prasad on the front desk, whose knowledge and kindness made us feel so welcome. A big shout out also to Rabita, Sanju, Susmita and the rest of the team. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel like we were wrapped in a warm Nepali blanket and made our holiday in Nepal extra special.

I also appreciated the reasonably priced airport transfers, which made arrival and departure a breeze. With its heartwarming hospitality, great amenities, and amazing value for money, Timber House is a place I’ll gladly return to soon!

The hotel was fantastic, particularly the staff! Ram and the team really took care of us and made sure we had a wonderful first time in Nepal. The rooftop bar and restaurant had a beautiful view of the city, which was great to have breakfast there each morning and also dinner. Location wise it's easy to access all of the main sights in Kathmandu, and the front desk helped call taxis when required. The area is very quiet, even though it's in the city centre. Would happily stay again and recommend the hotel.

When you travel to a new country it is nice to have a safe, secure and competent hotel for your stay. I was met by a driver at the airport, the value for money was outstanding, the staff were exceptional in both customer service and the attitude they approached all interactions between myself and the hotel. They have a beautiful view from the rooftop bar, they offer breakfast and 24 hour room service, and I felt safe and secure while I was as far from my comfort zone as I have ever been. Hotel is located in Thali district, close to main tourist attractions, souvenir shops and restaurants. You can find here also pubs and night life which makes this place very noisy. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The stuff is very nice and always helpful. You also have the view on Kathmandus rooftops and Himalayas.

Hotel is surrounded by night clubs and you can here music and street noise all night long. In the description, you can read that the rooms comes with coffee machine. Our room had only electric kettle and tea. No coffee :-(

We stayed here before our trek in Lukla and were so impressed with the experience that we returned after our trek. Unfortunately, one of our group members required surgery at a nearby hospital. Timber House went above and beyond to help us during this time. They arranged taxis, checked in on us daily, and allowed us to keep our room until we were ready to fly home. A special thanks to Ram, who truly went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of. I can't recommend this place enough! The food was fantastic, and I loved unwinding at the upstairs bar with great music. Dhanyabad—see you next time!

We stayed a couple of nights before and after our EBC trek in the Timber House. The accommodation is very clean, the rooftop restaurant is epic and the staff is incredibly friendly. I would like to mention Ram, the head of stuff (I guess) of the hotel. He really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. He arranged a taxi to the airport, welcomed us very warmly, and kept in contact with us throughout the whole trek until we got back to Kathmandu. We were even allowed to leave a small baggage there meanwhile we were on the trek. Overall, we had a very good experience, and will definitely stay here once again, if I ever travel to this part of the world again.
