Absolutely phenomenal staff. Always smiling, always friendly, always helpful. Breakfast selection was good. Drivers available, walking distance to Thamel, without being in the middle of the chaos. Room was large.

Only one electrical outlet worked. Shower is in a tub, might be difficult to get in and out of for a short person. Could use some darker curtains, gets pretty light in the am. All trivial things though, would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything about the property is great. Central location in the midst of Thamel yet so quiet and peaceful you would not know you were in the middle of a bustling city. Generous rooms, nice and clean. Amazing hot showers and a great breakfast. Lovely romantic garden especially when lit up at night. The owner and the staff are exceptional. they could not be more helpful and go above and beyond. We stayed as a base for a split trip, hiking in the Everest region and then touring round to Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. safe luggage storage available. Couldn’t ask for more.

Internet was really bad I had it only if I was sitting on the bed. I had to go to seat in the lobby to have good connection. Sometimes the staff was really friendly at the front desk and other staff members were somehow distancing. Everyone else was really nice and helpful.

We went for family holiday We were looking for quite hotels. DoM himalayas one of tge quite hotel. Indoor restaurant. The room/bathroom were really clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts, and a really cozy place overall. It's quite close to the city centre/Thamel, a 15-20 min. walk. Though the area has a lot of stray dogs in the late evening, so probably not the best for walking back home after 10pm.

From the airport pickup (which was faultless) to the arrival at the hotel and check-in, everything was superb! My room was as requested (with balcony) and larger than anticipated. The hotel is in a central location in Thamel and within easy walking distance of many cafes, bars & restaurants as well as Durbar Square, the Garden of Dreams and even the Monkey Temple. However, the main benefit of the hotel is the staff who are, without exception, very friendly and extremely helpful. If I ever return to Kathmandu, the DOM Himalaya Hotel will be top of my list of places to stay.

The floor of the wetroom/bathroom can get very slippy after a shower - beware! Also, the fire pit outside reception got very smoky in the evenings - but I suspect this did serve its main purpose of keeping bugs away.

The hotel is well located and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. The breakfast is generous with plenty of options. I personally liked the decoration of the hotel with the tibetan flags and flowers. I had a very nice stay and recommend the DOM Himalaya.

Love the breakfast and the fact that the hotel has a lift. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Room has all the basic needs, except for the power of hair dryer being too weak (it was blow like no blow hair situation 😅). Overall, love the stay. Will stay again if I ever return to Nepal.

We returned to the hotel after 6 days and all the staffs welcomed us. The hotel upgraded the room to a larger room at no extra charge. It was 2pm, but the room was not cleaned yet so we waited for a while. The room has a heater and the hot water works well. The breakfast staffs were friendly ,kind. All the staffs always smile and greet. Overall we are so satisfied with staying hotel.

We took a taxi called by the hotel to the airport. I checked several times before taking the fare. When I arrived at the airport, he asked me to double the fare. We did not give, but it was an unpleasant experience.
