We were returning guests, we love that it is situated in the heart of Thamel, so close to everything. We loved the busyness, the traffic, the people, the bars, the food. The staff at the guest house are so nice, friendly and helpful, nothing is a bother. Our security man is also very friendly, always smiling. Our breakfasts were also very good, plenty of variety and very filling. Would totally recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting to experience real Kathmandu.

You cannot find a better location in Thamel. The service is just soooo lovely. They will help you with any needs! You really get more than what you are hoping at Madhuban GH. Will make this my hotel in Thamel for all my future visits.

I came for 1 night, and I decided to stay 8 nights. I love that is very clean, no modern, but big, clean, for the price is so so good! Always hot water, lots of pressure. No one insect in my room. The manager is very welcoming, and you feel like home soon. I asked for cleaning the room, changed sheets and the did inmediatly. Because of my work I have to spend long time in KTM, and i will come back next time. And please! Try his vegetarian Indian restaurant that they have around 9 minuts walk! Its delicious! Clean, good price, big rooms, well located, really nice people. Thanks!

I think they can improve with new sheets :) and new mattresses. You can feel the springs in some parts of the mattress. The walls are thin son you can listen the next room, but is a quiet and relax hotel. No party around. No problem for me.

Clean and good size room, the staffs are all so helpful and kind, very pleasant personality. Good hot shower even on rainy day. As I kept the window open at night so it's slightly noisy but I use the earplugs and slept like a baby.

Can’t recommend staying here enough. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Thamel and a great base for anywhere you want to visit in the city. The staff are all lovely and have made us feel so at home and very well taken care of the whole time. They also have security on the gate all the time so have felt totally safe. The room is great, very comfortable, big, warm and has a lovely view of the city. There’s reliable hot water and great water pressure. The breakfast provided is tasty and healthy. Would without a doubt stay here any time I visit Kathmandu in the future.

We stayed in two different rooms because we stayed both before and after our trek. Both rooms were nice, but the large room we stayed in on the top floor was particularly lovely. The staff were all very helpful and kind and gave us useful recommendations. We had our laundry done at the hotel and it was ready on the same day. The location is good, close to everything you need in Thamel but not located on a busy street. The shower was nice and warm. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop. We were very pleased with our stay here

All the staff at Madhuban Guest House were so friendly and helpful! They easily organised airport pickups and drop offs for us, as well as a private driver for a day of sightseeing and hiking at our own pace. The beds are comfy, location is great and you can open the windows to let fresh air in. I would stay again in a heartbeat, thank you!!

The toilet was leaking a little bit, but that's all!

Very good small guest house , clean and calm, close to Thamel

The manager by the name of Kedar,sets a very high customer service standard..Others told me its because previously he was a manager in customer service for Qatar airlines. The local vendors tend to double or triple the price for foreigners.I had issues buying a bicycle at the correct price.Kedar offerered to help.He rang some private sellers and before you knew it, I had a bike .I was also allowed to lock the bike inside the hotel during the night..With any other issues, Kedar was quick in offering a hand..From my own experience, whilst travelling around the world continuously during the last 7 years, a high customer service standard , is difficult to experience these days. Theres also 24 hr security and the day time security officer is quite intuitive.The property is clean. Theres also an independant restaurant at the rear of the hotel .Its quite good to hang out in.

My only suggestion is that they could put a suggestion box in the lobby.Their hotel road sign isnt so visible in the night time. During rainy season, its difficult to dry ones clothes , esp. if guests does not have a balcony room.A clothes dryer would be good to have available.Token dryer.I think guests should be reminded about the effects of noise pollution..

The hosts are extremely nice and wonderful people. The room was clean, massive, and even had a view out to the mountains! The shower had hot water and worked perfectly. The breakfast they provided was well rounded and very filling. They helped us so much with all of our questions, recommended places for us to go, and helped us get a taxi to our bus. Cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be coming back :)
