Excellent location on the Esplanade and within reasonable walking distance of the restaurants in the town. Our room was very large, beautifully decorated and clean and well stocked each day with water, tea and coffee. The owners Andy and Jo were exceptionally friendly and fantastic from the moment we pulled up into the carpark, coming out to assist with our luggage. Every day the breakfast selection that Jo expertly made swiftly to order was lovely, always with a special of the day to tantalise. Not to mention the delicious homemade pastries that were then offered every day to take away for later. Possibly all round one of the very best places we have stayed at. Andy spent some time when we arrived giving us ideas of places we may like to visit and where they were. Then wherever we went on the island during the week, Andy always had a great tip for places to see or eat whilst we were there. We can honestly say it was one of the best and most relaxing places we have ever stayed at.

Can’t fault anything at all.

From the moment we arrived at Shoreside Inn my partner and I were extremely pleased with the property, which was well kept from the outside unlike a lot of the other hotels in the area. We were greeted in the car park by Andy who carried our bags inside to check in. We were shown our room which I was say was amazing. We had a sea view balcony suite which was out of this world. The room was exceptionally clean. Great facilities in the room from tea, coffee, and a fridge which stored milk and water. We also had a surprise goodie bag of sweets too. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for Jo, who even made her own specials for breakfast and also pastries. One of the best places I have stayed where the breakfast is outstanding.

Nothing we liked everything about the property.

The location of this property is perfect. Right on the beach with a few cafes and restaurants at a walking distance. The hospitality was exceptional. Andy and Jo go went of their way to make our stay a memorable one. The property is so clean and so much thought is gone into planning the stay and the experience. Food was amazing and Jo’s pastry’s were so fresh and delicious! Would a 100% recommend this stay. Andy was brilliant with his island recommendations. Exceptionally warm hosts! Thank you for the experience.

From start to finish Jo and Andy were the perfect hosts. The breakfast every morning was outstanding with Jo offering a daily special and freshly baked pastries to take away. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the bath where you could look out at the sea. Andy was great at sharing his knowledge of places to visits and good restaurants to try. To finish we have to mention the great location, right on Shanklin seafront, but with its own private parking which was very useful especially when visiting Shanklin in August

The breakfast was superb such a lot of choice..Jo also offered a special breakfast most mornings away from the menu. Andy made us feel welcome and is a font of knowledge about the Island Would definitely recommend. feel very welcome and is a font of knowledge if you need any help

It's just a tiny thing but we like a dark bedroom and we found the curtains let a lot of light in..but that is just our personal taste. Everything else was super.... and spotless

Andy and Jo were so welcoming and friendly. The entire building - entrance hall; stairway; landings, and breakfast room were impeccably presented. The room was gorgeous - the beds were comfy; the shower was large and had super water pressure, and little touches such as mint & green teas, and fresh milk and water daily in the little fridge (not to mention the arrival jelly beans!) made such a positive difference! The breakfasts were delicious, and a 'special' was offered each day which could be tailored to vegetarian requirements. The sausages were apparently "just right" (which is high praise indeed) and the bacon was also delicious. Apparently a request is going in on our second stay for those sausages and a "dippy egg" - just those on each day. Personally, the avocado toast and (perfectly) poached egg was beautiful. The Shoreside Inn is perfectly placed on the seafront, and the lapping waves were particularly soporific after a day spent playing crazy golf; eating icecream, and sitting in the sunshine watching the sea.

Wonderful. Incredible. AMAZING! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ These are just few words to summarise our experience in Shoreside Inn. We can’t believe it’s a B&B because the quality they provide to their guests is beyond 5star hotel!! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Andy and Jo while our luggage was brought to our room. He gave us a map of IOW with all his recommendations from attractions to restaurants..especially the timetables of the island coaster which is very helpful to us travelling by foot. The location is superb since it’s just beside the summer arcade, bus stop (island coaster), and seafront. The room is spectacularly clean. As a nurse, I can’t help but be amazed how clean and neat everything is. We were also delighted with free jelly beans along with the beverages & toiletries which were topped up everyday. We booked the room with a balcony and the view is literally therapy. Having the sound of ocean waves wake you up with the seagulls is just 👌*chefs kiss*. Not to mention Jo’s cooking and pastries..oh to die for! I don’t usually finish my meals because of my small appetite but we can’t get enough of her breakfast. We were also offered by Andy some of Jo’s spectacular pastries to bring as takeaways on our way to Needles and on our last day. Their sweetness, friendliness, and warmth certainly made all the difference. “Our home is now your home” was written on their welcome board in the reception and we wholeheartedly felt that. Overall, the ambiance of the hotel is peaceful, fresh, and cozy..perfect for those who are really wishing for a well-deserved vacation. 💯 Booking with them for our anniversary is honestly one of the highlights we’ve had for this year. We truly wish they will be showered with blessings throughout the year and the years to come. Their existence is proof that humanity still has hope. 🥹🫶🏻 Thank you so so much again! We were greeted by the hotel owners, Andrew and Jo, and from the start they were very helpful and friendly. We had a sea view room which was spacious, clean, good storage and with tea and coffee making available (fresh milk everyday). The breakfasts were superb with a 'special' everyday plus a selection of the usual english breakfast. We were also treated to freshly made pastries to take away for later. Andrew was always on hand to ask directions and suggestions for travelling around the island and what to visit. Free on site parking was also a bonus as it is on the Esplanade. We had a really lovely short holiday and will definitely be going back for another break.

Only a suggestion, but a little more shelving in the bathroom would have been useful. There really was nothing we didn't like.

The term "guest house" is used less these days, as more short-term accommodation becomes commercial. The Shoreside is a good example of a guest house, where the host and hostess make you feel like guests rather than customers. We felt cared for and personally welcomed from the start to end.

Amazing last minute trip to this beautiful hotel. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. I couldn't wait to see what the 3rd breakfast special would be and surfice to say it did not disappoint. Exceptional hosts from beginning to end. Excellent location.
