Andy and Jo were fabulous hosts Andy answered all our questions on the telephone before we stayed. On arrival we were met at the hotel car park and Andy and Jo took our luggage to the room. The premises were immaculately clean and tidy. We were given all local information ie restaurants, attractions, taxis. We were so happy with our room which was very modern, super clean and tidy, it had everything we needed. The breakfasts made by Jo were lovely and tasty with so much to choose from and the freshly cooked pastries were mouthwatering. We felt really comfortable staying as Andy and Jo were so friendly and nice and couldn't do enough. We would highly recommend booking to stay at this hotel as the customer service is second to none, We will be booking to stay again next year.

Nothing could have been better, our stay was perfect.

Everything. Andy and Jo couldn’t do enough for you. They were so helpful, welcoming and warm. Really genuine, lovely, friendly people who instantly put you at ease. The room at the hotel was stunning, beautiful views overlooking the sea, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and the room was spotlessly clean. Although please note: if you stay in the room with the bath - get up early to have your bath as you won’t want to get out :) The breakfast was delicious, well presented and they catered for my dietary requirements easily (next time, I may have to buy some of Jo’s homemade jam if I can). Andy and Jo and their hotel beyond exceeded my expectations. They even provided water each day in the mini fridge with milk suitable for your requirements if you need including a nice thoughtful touch with the jelly beans on arrival. I really can’t say enough about this place and the staff. It was the best. I 100% recommend and will definitely be back :)

There was nothing not to like apart from that I hadn’t booked for a longer stay. I really didn’t want to leave.

The room was clean, and with some considerate supplies. For example, fresh milk was provided every day in the in-room fridge for tea, coffee, or drinking directly. The room was well ventilated, and a powerful fan was provided. We visited during a hot weekend, but did not feel any need for an air conditioner. The bathroom was cleaned to a high level that I have only seen in Japan. The small inn is run by a couple, Andy and Jo. The breakfast was prepared by Jo, right on-site, with many customised options: modest ingredients but very well cooked. They even provide bags to take away freshly-baked pastries in case you are going on a trip in a rush. Andy, a polite gentleman, provided all the in-person services in the dining room. Everything was professional but with an at-home hospitality. He also noted a lot of useful suggestions for our travel plans on a printed map of Shanklin, with his mind memorising the map of the entire Isle of Wight. I do not often write reviews, but I feel they indeed deserve my positive comments.

I did not find anything unsatisfactory. This is literally the best B&B I have ever seen in the UK.

Andy and Jo were extremely accommodating. Andy greeted us in the car park, taking our luggage upstairs. He went on to show us all the room facilities. The room was large and had an amazing view. Fresh milk in the fridge for the tea and coffee with jelly beans on the side was a nice touch. The breakfast room was well designed, and conducive to private conversations whilst being open and friendly. Breakfast was made to order, and pretty much whatever was desired. Whilst eating breakfast, pastries were baked and put in a take away bag for later. Amazing. We will definitely go back.

There was nothing that did not meet our expectations.

Excellent location on the Esplanade and within reasonable walking distance of the restaurants in the town. Our room was very large, beautifully decorated and clean and well stocked each day with water, tea and coffee. The owners Andy and Jo were exceptionally friendly and fantastic from the moment we pulled up into the carpark, coming out to assist with our luggage. Every day the breakfast selection that Jo expertly made swiftly to order was lovely, always with a special of the day to tantalise. Not to mention the delicious homemade pastries that were then offered every day to take away for later. Possibly all round one of the very best places we have stayed at. Andy spent some time when we arrived giving us ideas of places we may like to visit and where they were. Then wherever we went on the island during the week, Andy always had a great tip for places to see or eat whilst we were there. We can honestly say it was one of the best and most relaxing places we have ever stayed at.

Can’t fault anything at all.

The location of this property is perfect. Right on the beach with a few cafes and restaurants at a walking distance. The hospitality was exceptional. Andy and Jo go went of their way to make our stay a memorable one. The property is so clean and so much thought is gone into planning the stay and the experience. Food was amazing and Jo’s pastry’s were so fresh and delicious! Would a 100% recommend this stay. Andy was brilliant with his island recommendations. Exceptionally warm hosts! Thank you for the experience.

From the moment we arrived at Shoreside Inn my partner and I were extremely pleased with the property, which was well kept from the outside unlike a lot of the other hotels in the area. We were greeted in the car park by Andy who carried our bags inside to check in. We were shown our room which I was say was amazing. We had a sea view balcony suite which was out of this world. The room was exceptionally clean. Great facilities in the room from tea, coffee, and a fridge which stored milk and water. We also had a surprise goodie bag of sweets too. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for Jo, who even made her own specials for breakfast and also pastries. One of the best places I have stayed where the breakfast is outstanding.

Nothing we liked everything about the property.

Breakfast was beyond stunning, all freshly cooked and delicious. Quality ingredients. Prob the nicest breakfast I’ve eaten in a long time and I travel a lot in expensive hotels. Hosts was beyond helpful, made suggestions to where we should go for the day, lovely coupe. Did all they could to make you comfortable. Put fresh milk in my room everyday so we could have a cup of coffee on our return

The breakfast was superb such a lot of choice..Jo also offered a special breakfast most mornings away from the menu. Andy made us feel welcome and is a font of knowledge about the Island Would definitely recommend. feel very welcome and is a font of knowledge if you need any help

It's just a tiny thing but we like a dark bedroom and we found the curtains let a lot of light in..but that is just our personal taste. Everything else was super.... and spotless

From start to finish Jo and Andy were the perfect hosts. The breakfast every morning was outstanding with Jo offering a daily special and freshly baked pastries to take away. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the bath where you could look out at the sea. Andy was great at sharing his knowledge of places to visits and good restaurants to try. To finish we have to mention the great location, right on Shanklin seafront, but with its own private parking which was very useful especially when visiting Shanklin in August
