We have stayed here quite a few times and it is always good to return. Nice and clean. Staff were very friendly at concierge and check in. The beds are comfy, the room is not huge but is well laid out and everything works. Good water temp and pressure in shower. However, water flows out to the floor in the bathroom which creates a slip hazard. Overall we like staying here.

Sunday morning hoping for a nice sleep in. In the big comfy bed without kids and life getting in the way. Then at 7am seriously loud construction noise starts!!!!! Dismantling scaffolding. The hotel knows about the construction site directly opposite the property on the city side - Castlereagh Street. We rang reception about it and they admitted they were aware of it and were sorry for any disturbance. This is why the price was so low. However, this information was not mentioned anywhere in the Booking.com property description. We probably would have spent more money and stayed on the park side to ensure a peaceful start to our Sunday had we known. We did not get a good night's rest. I feel omitting this information is dishonest and it has left a bad taste unfortunately.

The location is fantastic . Just choose a room over looking the park as the city view on the other side is a building construction. No noise is coming from there however, so that is great. Nice clean spacious rooms . Fantastic breakfast choices. If you book , just Book with breakfast option, it is worth it.

The staff is nice in general . However at breakfast they are very slow with bringing your coffee and specially cleaning your table while you are eating. It also happened that while choosing among the foods our table was cleaned while our personal belongings were also there and were taken away! So we had to claim those back… never happened in my life in worse hotels either so the breakfast staffing is something the management has to better observe.

Thankful for the cake and room upgrade gestured for my daughter's birthday.

I usually give Sheraton 10. But with this stay the connecting room we unfortunately had(just one of it) has the door through the next room unstably locked - which gave us discomfort throughout the night. I don't recommend self- checkout as your receipt will not come through automatically, you need to follow up - and their Reception was very busy at that time - could give you out of peace like for extra charge etc. I haven't received my deposit back up to now.

The Hotel room, food and services were amazing.

Certain requests weren't carried out. We went there for our wedding night, and I asked the hotel if they could do something special for us. They responded that they would note it down but then did nothing. It was a bit of a let down, it would have been better if they said they don't do those sorts of requests or something like that rather than just saying they will note it down and do nothing. We also asked the front desk if we could borrow a charger for our phones, and they said he would look into it and send it up if they found one. However, we got no response whether or not they found one or not and didn't receive it.

Some say it is a bit dated but I actually liked the fact that its interior decoration is probably from the 80’s or 90’s. The pool is awesome with a great view out to the heads. The rooms are large. We had a Hyde Park view room. Next time I will be sure to ask for a room above the 10th or 11th floor so you clear the tree line and have access to the view of Hyde Park across to St Marys Cathedral. The bed is seriously comfy. We ordered room service a few times and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. We had a pizza and butter chicken. We ordered the butter chicken again the next day it was so good. The bar fridge is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and accommodating. You couldn’t ask for a better position right in the heart of the city. A stroll across the road to St James station takes you to the airport in 10 minutes. I don’t need to search for hotels in Sydney anymore. I’ve found the one I’ll be going back to time and again.

The size of the room and layout, the view of the park, size of bathroom was great. The daily house cleaning service was much appreciated! the sauna and the steam room were excellent! Plus the close proximity to many Galleries, shopping, sightseeing and the Parks was excellent!

The pools was NOT deep enough. The hottub was NOT hot enough. It was NOT explained to us that the menu for dining room was different than the Room service menu so when we returned late one evening and had just enough time to be served in Dining Room, we were disappointed that the menu was different.

Loved the view over Hyde Park, great position to access shopping and walks to the gardens and circular quay. Very nice Cafe across the road in the Piccadilly Arcade. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were so many options nearby and sometimes we just wanted a sleep in. The room was spacious, well designed and the most essential elements of comfortable bed plus peace and quiet were met. We also liked the fruit water fountain in the lobby, filling our little complimentary drink bottles each day before heading out. Express checkout was a bonus, and the courteous helpful staff everywhere from housekeeping to doorman to the trainee check-in lady were appreciated. We rate it a favourite spot in Sydney now.

Nothing, it was an exceptional hotel.

The room, beds and room service were excellent as well as the parking. Staff at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. I had 2x rooms for 2x nights.

What let the whole stay down was my lunch meeting at the gallery restaurant. For 4 people. Poor and slow service. I had to continually ask for water, staff not very friendly or helpful. Never checked on us to see how we were going. I was not happy or relaxed in front of my guests which ruined the meal. I had an Asian male waiter. Plus I think a younger girl came later. I had to wave each time to get any help. he came across as not interested. Not enjoying his job. The food itself was excellent. You need better staff to match the quality of the rest of the Hotel.

From the moment I arrived, my stay at the Sheraton Grand Hotel exceeded expectations. The staff were exceptional—welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile. The location is unbeatable—perfectly situated for both convenience and comfort, with easy access to everything I needed during my trip. Whether it was for business or leisure, the setting made it incredibly easy to get around and enjoy the local area. The cleanliness of the hotel was also outstanding. Every corner, from the lobby to the rooms, was immaculate. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining a high standard, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you to the entire team at Sheraton Grand for a fantastic and memorable stay. I’ll definitely be returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

The location, the room and overall service is excellent. We stayed in 2 rooms with connecting door for 5 nights. It is very easy for us to take a public transport to visit the universities. During the day it is very convenient to walk to the places around. The room is very comfortable. The pool and fitness is also very good, we used it almost everyday.

It is very disappointing that we forgot 4 passports with money in the safe. We was realized the day after we checked out but seem like no one understand our nervous and worries. Unfortunately, the front desk asked us to wait one day more to give us the answers. Their unenthusiastic make us feel like they don’t care, even though, I beg them to find out if it is not in the room so we can do something before our flight time. It is disappointing at the end really
