Secondary locking on door didn't work and a chain was put on instead. Breakfast was fair but some ingredients were not up to the standards of competition like Premier Inn (but it was included in the price unlike Premier Inn). Room was cleaned without it being requested (which was odd). The hotel was awkward to access by foot and public transport with a sense that guests were being steered to the on-site pub/restaurant and access to other local offerings were being made difficult. Staff were excellent and very helpful, room and hotel in general very clean, well presented and not noisy. Price was excellent for a main chain, but only a few niggles let it down.

Stayed here on our last night of a 7 day road trip as wanted to be within an hour of Edinburgh to drop the hire car off. Was met by a lovely member of the staff and check in was simple and easy. Recommended to the pub next door, where we had a nice meal and a couple of drinks. Huge bed in the room and very comfortable. Clean room and ensuite. Only expected a continental breakfast in the morning so was surprised to see cooked food as well. Breakfast staff were great as well and worked very hard to keep all the food coming. This hotel was the best value place we stayed over our 7 nights and I'll be very happy to stay here again
For the price we paid I can't fault this hotel.

Everything was superb. The room was spacious. The bathroom was excellent and met my special needs due to my mobility issues. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the huge bed - we were so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning. The breakfast offered something for everyone and there should be no complaints in that direction or some people are very hard to please. Containers were constantly replenished with tea, a variety of coffees , frit juices and various assortment of milk available. There was also the choice of making a breakfast to go if you had an early start. Plenty cereals, breads, croissants and cakes were on offer. We also liked theat yo cold sit in the dining room throughout the day and top p on tea/coffee/fruit juice and fresh water. An icemaking machine was also available if you wanted an iced drink. A small bar area was also available if you wanted a nightcap before retiring for the night,
The hotel was cashless which did not allow us to tip members of staff as we would have liked to have done,

Excellent value for money especially as breakfast was included. The staff were amazing as we had car issues and they went above and beyond to help us especially as we had a 6 month old with us who was getting frustrated. The beds were comfy and the shower was great. We loved how they offered little things like toothpaste, cotton pads etc if you forgot to pack them. The breakfast had a great variety from a selection of cooked food to cereal and fruit. If we are ever in the area again we would most definitely stay but hopefully longer than what we did.
The room wasn't as spacious as we would of liked but we did request a cot for our little one so obviously that took up any extra space we had.

The staff were great and friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was great
The family room was a double bed extremly comfortable but the pull out couch was in really uncomfortable both me and my husband took turns sleeping in it with our toddler and woke up with a really sore back and stiff my husband was a Fisherman and can partically sleep anywhere and even he said it was one of the worst nights sleep, the shower kept on going hot and cold not great when trying to shower kids and the room had noticeable water damage and could do with a paint also the size of the room was small when the couch was out and it made it hard to move around with kids

We booked in for 2nights but a death in the family we were visiting required me to stay for a further night. At first the hotel staff told me there was no room available, but said to check later to see if there had been any cancellations. Shortly afterwards, Libby, one of the duty managers, said that she and her line manager had been able to juggle the other bookings, and were able to provide the room for me. They and the night manager were very kind and sympathetic as I had just lost my daughter-in-law. Special mention to Libby, for her care and thoughtfulness.

Room was very clean and the hotel itself is in ideal location, away from main roads but close enough to shops. Also easy enough to travel around to nearest attractions.
Breakfast could have a wider choice of food. Typical scottish breakfast could possibly have some mushooms or eggs added or an option provided for guests who prefer a lighter breakfast instead of all fried but aren't a cereal person either. Croissants were delicious and soya milk provided for those who may have dietry requirements which is a bonus.

On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady , and she was very helpful with a lovely smile . Our room was spot on, spacious, very clean, we had a great night's sleep, great place to stay when you're travelling up Scotland, we didn't get to see much of the area because we set off on our travels after breakfast, the breakfast was plentyful and delicious, would definitely stay here again. We had a meal at the pub next to the hotel, a lovely place and really nice food .

The great thing about chains is that you know what you are going to get. A reasonable room, staffed reception and all the usual facilties. Fine for a one-nighter (not I think anyone needs more than a night in Glenrothes). Plenty of car parking and free. There is a pub/eatery next door for convenience.
Place was quite unmemorable to be honest. Is that good or bad?

The outstanding customer service provided and the very helpful and on top of all matters their General Manager is. We booked the hotel via Booking.com and the hotel alerted us promptly to an issue with our reservation. The Manager took direct charge and helped us to sort it out in a stress-free way, thus reassuring us every step of the way. All call handlers were kind and knowledgeable. All messages and emails replied to very quickly. I am very grateful and highly recommed this hotel.
