Everything! The location was excellent, it was away from the main area with shops and bars which meant it was nice and quiet, but close enough to walk to shops and bars, or you could take a tuk-tuk, which reception would call for you. The local area is really nice and family friendly, lots of little shops and market style areas, there is a lovely little night market which is more like an outdoor food court, you can buy all kinds of lovely food then go and sit at the bar which is like a dining area, order a drink (If you like cocktails try a Tipsy Mermaid!) and eat your food. There are lots of little bars and cafes. A little further away (200 baht in a tuk-tuk) is a huge night market where you can buy all sorts of clothes, bags,& souvenirs. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant location overlooking the beach and the pool was beautiful. I loved the fact that real coffee was prepared for you at breakfast, not just a pot that stood there for hours. The coffee was individually prepared and there was wide choice. There was also a live cooking station for eggs, so you could have your eggs individually prepared to your liking. There was a good selection of either Asian, continental or English style cooked breakfast, and of course you could mix and match! The beach was beautiful and clean, and although the pool was beautiful and never crowded I chose to swim in the beautiful blue sea everyday. The hotel was full (which is why I was given a fabulous room upgrade!) but it never felt crowded. There were always lots of loungers available at the pool or by the beach and the restaurant/bar area never felt crowded either. I stayed during October half term and was eager to visit again at Christmas or Get but they were fully booked until March. Not surprised really, beautiful hotel, lovely rooms and warm, friendly staff who did whatever they could to make your stay wonderful, and at a really good price.

Nothing, I loved everything!

The property is ideally located just a 15-minute walk or 5-minute taxi/motorcycle ride from the city center. The restaurant and pool area offer stunning beachfront views, and the amenities are excellent. One of the best features is how the rooms are nestled among lush trees, creating a natural and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are also very spacious. Loved our time here and would definitely come back!

Like many accommodations in Thailand, the beds are quite firm - which is typical of the traditional local style but may take some getting used to for international travelers.

The staff are so friendly and the beachfront location is a piece of paradise. Property, beach and pool were never overcrowded and guests very respectful of one another. Felt very safe. The gardens are beautifully kept and enjoyed the wildlife.

Little bit out from town and due to heat we had to take more taxis to explore than we would normally like to on holidays but this was a small thing when weighed up against the peaceful nature of the location.

This resort deserves the name Paradise!!! The landscape is gorgeous and luscious. I loved it so much. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, good variety, some different things every day. Very nice coffee and eggs cooked to your liking. All the food was very enjoyable. The beach is wonderful, enough sun lounges under large trees. Also the pool area is very nice. It's possible to walk to Khao Lak in around 10-15 minutes, but it's also easy to take a taxi.

This hotel is a real gem nestled in the jungle on a hillside. The garden is magnificent and overflowing with superb tropical plants. The bungalows are well positioned, with lovely balconies and very comfortable bedding. Breakfast is varied: fresh fruit, eggs prepared your way, a different Thai dish every day, something for every taste! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, we were pampered throughout our stay. We had a couple of delicious lunches and fruits shakes on the beach and ordered a large seafood platter for a dinner. We were super spoiled! The hotel is quiet and located only 20-minute walk from the center of Khao Lak (easy walk or the hotel will arrange a cab for you quickly). We also went to Lam Ru National Park. A walk through the jungle that led to a pretty beach where we were all alone. We had several treatments at the spa (such as Lovers Package) and had a wonderful relaxation time. This hotel was a real paradise for us to which we would always come back for another stay at Khao Lak. We loved everything here: the very helpful and friendly staff, the pure jungle feeling including new discoveries of plants or animals every day, the pool area including Cosy bar, the clean and quiet beach, the rich breakfast that varied every day. Last but of course not least the room was large enough, clean and it’s design fits perfectly to the rest of the hotel. On top there were always little surprises and unexpected details which showed the enthusiasm and spirit of all staff members to make the stay here an outstanding experience for their guests

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. Location was very good on a beautiful beach with easy access to the town. Taxis always available outside the hotel or you can walk which takes about 20 minutes. Enjoyed the spa on a few occasions.

We had 3 nights in a delux room and then we were given an upgrade for 7 nights in a villa, which was beautiful. I would suggest you take your own hairdryer as the wall mounted one is very poor. There also wasn’t a mirror at all in the bedroom near the plug sockets or over the dressing table.

It's a beautiful resort in a natural setting (it's like the whole place is set in a botanical garden) with great facilities, comfortable rooms, a good restaurant and a lovely staff team. It's also right at the beach in a small bay area which keeps it free from the hoards of tourists that visit the area.In the evening little hermit crabs roam the beach front side of the resort. The restaurant is great and recommend ordering the seafood platter, which needs to be done a day in advance - really good!

The desserts.The rest of the foods (particularly all the Thai foods) are great though!

Gardens are beautiful. The garden villas are large with big verandahs and very large bathrooms. Big pool and lots of lounges around both pool and on lovely beach. Staff are friendly and so helpful. breakfast had a large variety and changed daily. Coffee excellent.

The room was fantastic, the breakfast buffet was wonderful and the spa treatments were easy to book and of high quality. The staff was incredibly attentative and friendly too. I can recommend asking the hotel for a shuttle service from the airport - it was very comfortable and reliable! The garden and the beatiful "huts" with traditional roofs made the resort stand out to me.

Since there are many steps between the reception and some of the rooms, it may be a little difficult for people with mobility issues. The reception was always available via phone though, so it is certainly not necessary to walk the steps often. The hotel also carried our luggage to the room, so no problem if you can't carry your luggage for a long time. The Wifi was sometimes a little unstable in our room, but it worked really well outside of our room.
