We loved using the public bath on the top floor, especially the outdoor one. We paid for breakfast a couple of mornings & found the choice to be good. Everything we ate was delicious. Reception staff were helpful when we received an email in Japanese about our flight home. Maria deserves a special mention. Good location & room size was fine.

We couldn't get the TV hotel information to work in English, so I went to the laundry room twice to find both machines were busy. I admit I didn't raise this at the time. Also, there didn't seem to be any English instructions for the in-room air conditioning, so it was very much trial & error.

The family room was spacious and had a bathtub for the children, they each got a kids amenities pack and a good sized single bed each and we still had space to move around. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had an excellent view downhill towards the harbour.

Would have been helpful if they had food options outside of breakfast in the hotel cause we stayed over the NY period and had very young children who weren’t used to snow, but the Lawson was right next door and had food that we just heated up in the microwave in the hotel lobby and was surprisingly good!

A nice hotel in Otaru central location within walking distance of all the main touristy sights & spots (5mins to the canal and all the shopping / food spots in town). Stay was super comfortable, staff were friendly / helpful and the room itself was very nice with a good view facing the sea / canal side (could not see the canals though as we were in a lower floor). Great location, and good amenities for 1-2 nights stay in Otaru. Parking too was available at JPY1500 per day at the hotel itself, slightly more expensive than the commercial car parks but convenient (would have been nice if guests had free parking but again this is not the norm in city/town hotels in Japan).

Car parking could have been provided for hotel guests for free or at a subsidised rate. Overall no complaints or issues, was a great stay.

Onsen is excellent, Breakfast with different rotating menu items was great - better coffee would be nice. The larger rooms with separate toilet are perfect for two skiers, standard rooms would be more of a challenge. A retractable clothes line in shower area would be very helpful.

Front desk service could be done better. In comparison the restaurant staff are excellent!

New boutique hotel with one of the most delightful and good spread Japanese breakfasts I have had. Every dish is tasty, carefully prepared and displayed. The bread and pastry basket were unforgetable. We had the Otaru Port view and on a clear day, we could see as far as the windmill power farm and sunrise. Beddings are clean and comfy. Walking distance to Otaru Canal and shopping street. Next to Lawson and 2 covered shopping street. I am grateful to the room service and front desk teams for retrieving and keeping my items in the safe as I forgot to remove them when I checkout. Their email reminder truly saved the day. I stayed in the Superior Twin Room.

Only 1 thing I like to suggest - Do offer an option to turn off the vanity light behind the mirror, it was simply too bright.

A reasonable to walk down to the canal and the specialty shopping area Enjoyed looking through the Brewery Would love to have seen the area in good weather as it was snowing and by evening, some parts quite icy.

Location was a about a 15 minute of a walk from the station. The entry to the Hotel was icy - some people were slipping. Coffee available afternoon/evening but not in the morning?!

The overall hotel type is more business-type or short-term rental hotels like Toyoko Inn, but the design and overall atmosphere are more fashionable and comfortable. The parking fee is 1,500 yen per night, and you can enter and exit it unlimited times before check-out. It was ok for a short stay, and the location was great.

As mentioned above, the room is not relatively large in comparison to others.

The room is on the 7th floor, and it has awesome ocean view. All facilities are quite new and modern. Staff are nice.

There water in male public bath pool is a bit dirty, I can see the dust and hair floating on it. And there are only two elevators, which means more waiting time is inevitable

This is a newer property so things felt clean and new. Room size was large for Japanese standards. Rooms are non smoking with a smoking room off the lobby. The breakfast buffet was good. Location is great, you can walk everywhere you need to.

Room windows didn’t open which I’m not a fan of as I like access to fresh air. Not a ton of other facilities. They have parking but you have to pay.

There is a common laundry room with 2 washer/dryer machines. The room is also rather clean and the sink area is spacious.

It’s not close to the Otaru station. For those who don’t want to use the bath tub, the shower facility is not convenient to use. It’s more appropriate for those who wants to sit on the provided stool to bathe.
