Sweet little B&B situated in the centre of Dartmouth. Tastefully decorated in county French style. The bedroom was a good size (Samphire room), an ample bathroom with floor space, TV, coffee/tea facilities and a fridge with real milk provided, one of my ultimate bug bears is UHT milk it’s disgusting!! The bed was super comfy. We didn’t eat dinner as we stayed when the kitchen wasn’t open but the breakfast was lush with plenty of choice to suit all. Nicky greeted us with a quick run down of our room and she gave us plenty of local information.

Great location, 5 minutes from the waterfront and hub of activity, and centrally located for nearby galleries and small, specialist shops, as well as many national chains. Charming room, and well-designed bathroom with gorgeous rustic tiling. The bed was cosy and comfortable (although, being of an age, our backs would have preferred a firmer mattress). Beautifully presented breakfast and every item was delicious. We were met each morning with freshly squeezed orange juice, a beautiful freshly prepared fruit salad with such a variety of fruits and berries - my husband added his to a very nice, creamy porridge - and cooked breakfast items, toast and jams, etc. Lots of helpful advice from our hosts who were very good at keeping in touch to ensure a smooth arrival, as well as being friendly and helpful throughout our short stay.

There is no nearby parking (on street parking not always available, or available on market days) which involves taking the Park & Ride. However, with an app for topping up parking each day, and the frequent bus service to the car park, the only real inconvenience was carrying our luggage to the property, a 5 minute walk from the bus stop, and was more than compensated for by the central location.

Amazing find-one of the best establishments we have stayed at in Dartmouth! Nikki and Mitch were fantastic hosts they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They kept us fully informed of available options at their B&B prior and during our stay. Nikki signposted us to nearby areas where we could park for the whole duration of our stay for free. Very comfortable, well appointed, exceptionally clean accomodation and the breakfast could only be described as exceptional it far exceeded our expectations. Located on the level and set back in a quiet location, in the central area of Dartmouth we found this establishment to be an absolute gem! We couldn't have wished for better, our hosts ensured service with a smile where nothing was too much trouble! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Anzac B and Bistro... we will be back!

Absolutely nothing!

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very good with fresh fruit and a great fried breakfast. Also the vegetarian breakfast was very good too as my partner said. The room was clean and tidy with fresh water and milk everyday. The guest house was well placed right in the middle of town, so not far to walk to the shops or river boats. Would recommend this place to anyone.

The location is absolutely perfect. Nestled in the heart of Dartmouth, everything easily accessible and with walking distance. The B&B itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our room was spacious with homely touches that made us feel most welcome. Breakfast was another highlight, all beautifully cooked and presented. Nicky and Mitch are friendly and attentive hosts, knowledgeable about the area and happy to offer recommendations for activities and dinning.

Had our first meal at the bistro on the first night and wish we had had our following meals there too. The food was a little expensive but that's what you expect for top quality food. All the other places we ate at in Dartmouth were not worth bothering about. The room was clean and airy. The staff were wonderful.

Nothing not to like

Everything. Nicky, Mitch and family could not have been more attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The room, sage room, was beautiful and had everything we needed. I would say the best room we've ever stayed in. The breakfast was amazing with more than enough delicious food to set you up for the day. Thankyou Nicky, Mitch and family for a wonderful stay.

Having to leave.

The Bistro was cosy, relaxing, and ideally located. Walking distance to the town and River Dart, harbour and shops. Nicky and Mitch were fantastic hosts. The choice and standard of breakfast were amazing. We will certainly be back.

Parking in the area is not good, but they have a park and ride that is very efficient. Buses to surrounding areas to visit are very good. It made a nice change not to have to drive all the time.

From Trevor Hyland On the day I entered the property Nicky welcomed me and showed me to my beautiful bedroom and shower room where I found everything spotlessly clean and inviting. During my stay the rest of the staff Mitch, Flo and Omar gave excellent service and were always on hand to give me any help or advice I needed. I used the restaurant on 4 of my 5 night stay and the menu gave a great choice and found all the meals to be delicious and beautifully presented and fell in love with the Dartmouth Gin. Will definitely be back not only for the Gin but to enjoy such a welcoming and well run 5 star establishment.

There was nothing that I disliked.

Beautiful property in a side street just off the quay but peaceful, and so stylish and homely. Built in the 1700s, it had a real sense of history alongside excellent modern facilities such as a fantastic bathroom! It was run be a really lovely couple, who work hard to make things just right for guests. The breakfasts were gorgeous….. fresh, clean and well presented.

Absolutely nothing! Really couldn’t find anything that could be improved!
